In this video showing you how to mount a GoPro on the Zhiyun Smooth4 phone gimbal and also compare few adapter plates on the market that improves the balance on the Zhiyun Smooth4 phone gimbal. As why buy two seperate gimbal if you could have one gimbal that can be used with your phone, but also with a simple adapter to use a Gopro, so you can still film if one ran out of power.

You could add the counterweight to the second plate
When you mount it and can't see the screen? There is an app from gopro that you can see the image, and control your camera and settings from.
just velcro on a spare battery on the plate to even the weight out.

they give you the longer screws in case you gopro has the extended battery pack, or the lcd view screen mounted on the back

why did you run it in selfie mode the whole time and use like almost no shots from the go pro on the gimbal?
you can also conect with phone and fix the gopro screen on smooth 4 without mount

Thanks chungda..I just bought my pgy tech adapter together with my smooth 4..now I think I will not have to use it..chungda can you please make a tutorial on how to calibrate the smooth 4..mine is taking a lot of time moving from every position( green light) to the next. I don't know how to correctly position the gimbal when calibrating. thanks...

Well, chungdha, I used your link and placed my order (based on your reply) and today (sadly) the PGY was delivered! I'm very disappointed that they sent the PGY rather than the Xiaomai/HolaFoto that I ordered. Thought you might want to know. I've requested a return based on delivery of the wrong one. If they accept my request, it'll be another 3 1/2 weeks until delivery of, hopefully, the correct, rebranded Xiaomai. Do you have any suggestions as to how I might be more likely to get the Xiaomai?

You put the weight of the PGY tech on the wrong side. It balances perfectly when on the correct side/orientation. Also you can see the screen then too. The longer screws are to add the extended battery pack and or to use the GoPro 4 in the skeleton housing. I am more interested in utilizing gimble app functions with the GoPro.
You can't mount the PGY otherway around as only small section stick out at the gopro part for it to hold and not hold it well in the phone mount.
@@chungdha yes you can. I have mounted it this way without any issues at all. It holds well and can see the camera screen for forward video recording.

Its same plate just gets rebranded a lot, many of this same plate is sold under many different brands.
Thanks for being so responsive! It won’t be delivered until after Christmas so I also ordered another they carry that sounded good (to last until your brand arrives).

How did u do the motion time lapse with smooth 4 and GoPro!
Just set gopro to timelapse or record video and use phone to set timelapse.

I just purchased the first plate you reviewed from Amazon. When I use my go pro with the gimbal, do I disable GoPro‘s built-in stabilization or leave it on?
Leave it on will make it even smoother
If you leave it on image quality will decrease

Hi guy I have a quite confuse question with the pay load weight, also the payload of zhiyun smooth 4 can be max support 210 g, I thought the gopro + adaptor plate quite more a bit max payload. However if I use this like you it doesn't have any effect or work load with the gimbal or not.
You still need to balance the setup on the gimbal, some of the plates designs are well balanced to counter the offset weight of the gopro while some are not well balanced.

Actually inside gopro menu you can set auto rotate or orientation and it fill record automatically to the correct orientation.
