I'm an American who's been following artists who are relatively unknown in the USA. I've been doing this for 7 years via youtube since discovering that there are once-in-a-lifetime geniuses walking amongst us, as close as our nearest internet connection. If the mainstream media and the giant monopoly of a handful of record labels has their way, we will never hear Ren...or Dimash. Instead, they will spoon-feed us sonic garbage on repeat until there's no one left who remembers what music or artistry are. Don't let them win.
Y'all. You have no idea what you're getting into. The Ren Rabbit Hole is deep and wide and amazing. You will not run out of surprises ever. Keep picking things from him to react to. It's all gold.
NF is amazing.. but you will never see someone like Ren. Every song is different.. a different genre almost everytime you see a new video.. and he never disappoints. Just dropped one of the most amazing videos I’ve ever seen.. Money game 3.. but please please please.. do part 1 and part 2 first. You will understand it more. Same with the tale of Jenny and screech and violet. Do them all together in order. Great reaction. Ren is the GOAT
Here is some additional information on Ren's story that I gathered from old newspaper interviews, articles, and Ren's public livestreams and posts. A handful of people frequently post an earlier version of my comment to various reactions that they copied and pasted verbatim, so if this is a repeat just ignore this comment. I keep editing the information, as needed, and have removed details about Ren that some found to be too personal, such as his full name and D.O.B. All the information here was gathered exclusively from sources Ren personally approved for public release. Ren is a Welsh musician/independent artist/producer, self-taught multi-instrumentalist. He pursued a career in music from an early age. In 2009, while studying music performance at Bath Spa University, Ren began to experience health issues and was struggling to attend his lectures, which eventually caused him to discontinue his studies and return home. In addition, Ren was signed by Sony Records in 2010 and was working on an album when his health deteriorated to the point that he was unable to go on; consequently, his contract with Sony was dissolved. Ren would later relocate to Brighton. Ren's illness often kept him in bed for up to 23 hours daily. Ren was initially misdiagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder, and chronic fatigue syndrome, which led him to experience psychosis and develop PTSD. It would take seven years before a doctor in Belgium finally correctly diagnosed Ren with autoimmunity, Lyme disease, and resulting damage to the brain, organs, joints, and PTSD. Ren eventually underwent stem cell therapy in the United States, which improved his health, but it has not been a cure. Ren is in Calgary, Canada undergoing treatments such as IV therapy and other interventions five days a week, as well as surgeries (wisdom tooth removal and cavitation surgery). His Canadian doctor discovered that Ren also developed a condition called Mast Cell Activation Disorder (MCAD), which has affected the myelin sheath in his brain, his thyroid, and adrenals as well as his bones/joints. Hence, Ren is receiving additional treatments for this previously undiagnosed condition. He recently took a break from treatments and returned to the UK to visit family and friends, and to produce some very ambitious musical projects to be released soon. Let's keep supporting Ren as he undergoes his treatments. Check out and subscribe to his channel; if you are a content creator, ask your audience to subscribe to Ren. Ren's YT channel just surpassed 1 million subscribers. and his videos have garnered millions and millions of views. Listen to some of his earlier work, like and comment on his performances, and let's lift Ren's spirits. If you are a believer, pray for him. Ren is an artist with something to say to the world, and his work is important in these troubling times. Someone has finally created a Wikipedia page for Ren, so there is additional information available.
@@jasonremy1627 I am trying when YT lets me. @@JensRandolff sorry to hear that man. It probably detects that you're posting the same block of text and thinks you're spamming. Maybe there's some way to mix it up a bit. Keep fighting the good fight!
REN is an utter genius, talented& gifted. He has been through so much himself. He literally now is saving lives& changing peoples lives. He is a golden soul who comes along once in a generation. Welcome down the REN rabbit hole Love him ❤
Great reaction! Ren will blow your mind with his talent and versatility if you continue down the rabbit hole. He has an album dropping tomorrow called Sick Boi. The title track Sick Boi is a great video to do next.
Ren got number 1 in the UK album charts . For an independent artist, it's an incredible achievement. Add in all the health issues and obstacles he faces, and it's just beyond amazing. There is a video of him finding out which made me cry with joy. I'll find the link and send it in a reply. I'm so proud of him and the global community(RENagades) he's managed to cultivate. He's insanely talented and deserves everything he is getting g at the moment. My journey started with hi ren when I was in a dark place, and it saved me, so thank you, @renmakesmusic, for everything you give us. Peace and love to you all
This was recorded live, in a single take. As many of his videos are. Btw, NF isn't independent. Double 'btw', Ren can rap like a rap god, believe me, but it would be a mistake to label him as merely a rap artist. He does every major genre, really... He plays about 12 musical instruments. Half of them RIDICULOUSLY well! All self-taught, of course! He lays down all his own music/beats and is a top producer too. His voice is incredible, not 'decent' believe me. You haven't heard anything yet! He manages all this whilst suffering from 2 extremely debilitating and incurable chronic illnesses and a whole host of associated conditions and illnesses. He has brain damage, nerve damage, damage to his bones joint and internal organs and is in near constant pain! He's determinedly independent too! Every music label under the Sun has tried to sign him but he's turned them all down. With Ren it really is all about the music! He gave the proceeds of his first album to the parents of his best friend, who unfortunately committed suicide, and to the lifeboat station that had searched, unsuccessfully, for his friens body. I hope he makes shedloads from his 2nd album. He deserves it. He's a great human being, as well as a musical genius! He never misses, no matter the style and genre. Anyway, it looks as if it's about to happen. His newly released 2nd album is currently sitting at number 1 in about 20 different countries and is top 5 in about 20 more. We'll have to wait and see where he's at at the end of the week. He's done this with no label, no financial backing, no management. He does everything himself. He can't tour, as his health problems make it virtually impossible. He's spent almost the entirety of 2023 in Canada, undergoing experimental medical treatments, in an attempt to repair some of the damage to his body and brain. He's a lyrical genius. A poet really and a bloody good one at that! You've stumbled across a once in a generation artist! :) P.S. Apologies for the lack of paragraphs. I didn't start with the intention of writing this much, lol. :)
Hi guys, great reaction, my first visit and I can tell you are both really good at this and make a great team. The problem I have with Ren is that I can't go back in time and experience his work again for the first time! Watching others react is the closest I can get. I hope you do many more and 'Sick Boi' is a good one to do next as it explains some of his back story. Cheers.
@@millennialxreactionshello je me suis également abonnée à la réaction de REN salutations depuis la France fan de REN depuis quelques semaines je ne le quitte plus merci
The Tale of Jenny & Screech (Official Music Video) 13:30 min 3 parts all put together in the right order. Every part is a one Take live video. I'm pretty sure you are smart guys and you will get the twist. The Hunger, Murderer, Loosing it, Humble, Money Game, Genesis..... Chalk Outlines Live and How to be me Live Performance with Chinchilla The Big Push (The Band Ren was playing before he went to Canada for Therapie)
I want you to hear him sing & do his live version of Murderer or the actual video, either one is good. Great sound!! Thank you for doing this reaction. I think Hi Ren is genious! And this was live & done in one take. He has his own RUclips channel, please support him there. He has been through a lot & is really doing great!!!! Great talent!!!
So, you have to do a rap song of his and you will love LOSING IT. So find a way to put it on your playlist in the future because everybody will love it. He actually has a beast mode.😮
Great reaction? Ren has just released his new album "Sick Boi" and he could top the new album charts next week. an amazing feat for an independent artist who is getting medical treatment for Lyme disease will putting all this together. Im 65 and he is my favorite new artist today. Just so multi-talented.................. Hes depth into life reminds me so much of Pink Floyd.
Welcome to the RENaissance. Sick Boi was recorded first, but is something of a sequel to Hi Ren. Then you can follow that up with Illest of Our Time for more on the same theme. If you'd like to really get into his accoustic guitar and storytelling, then head over to The Tale of Jenny & Screech (full). It's a triptych of tragedy as told by a modern day bard, each part done in a single take. For more of his singing, and to really get a feel for his personal journey, check out Chalk Outlines (live) w/ Chinchilla. He's also got a number of tracks relating to the loss of his best friend, Joe, back in Wales. Start with the track Freckled Angels from the album of the same name. Then move on to How to Be Me (live), w/ Chinchilla (it's absolutely amazing). After that, check out the video for Suicide. Then finish it up with the track For Joe. For his more fun side: Losing It retake; The Hunger; Power; What You Want; Bittersweet Symphony retake; Right Here, Right Now retake; Love Music 1-4; and for something really different, Children of the Moon. Would it blow your mind to know that the recording for this video was all a single take? They got kicked out of the basement after the 4th take (which is why there's that one bit where he turns a little too early on the line "forget it"). They used one take for all of the sound and the static cameras and the spoken word, and another take for the up close handheld shots, which is why you can sometimes see a slight de-sync. For more one-take genius, there's Money Game pt 1, & 3 (pt 2 is a regular video and absolutely should not be skipped) and Animal Flow. Additionally, he also has a lot of live performances - solo, with other artists including Chinchilla and Sam Tompkins, as well as with the band The Big Push. Finally, speaking of The Big Push, they've got a lot of great originals - Swan Song is a particular fave - as well as covers, such as Bongo Bong, Praise You, Bongo Bong, and Englishman in New York. And after all of that, there's still hundreds of hours of content left to explore, and it's all great.
This is from another post on a different reaction Stages of watching Hi Ren: This looks creepy Guitar sounds nice Oh he’s singing Will the whole song be like this? Here’s the beat Ok he’s rapping now This guy is scary Now he seems nice Oh I see what he’s doing This is interesting This is intense The mean guy is a jerk This is INTENSE Make it stop I haven’t blinked or taken a breath in 2 minutes Go Ren! YES! OOO-OO-OO-OO-OO-.. I need some time to be still…
THAT was a great reaction. Thanks guys. Guitar? React to some of Ren's band The Big Push! I shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/HipHop mashup You don't really need the closed captions (they're distracting and sometimes incorrect) with Ren because his diction is superb, no matter how fast he's singing or speaking.
You need to go down the Ren roller coaster ride, he does most songs in 1 take like this one, it took 4 takes multiple cameras to get this take. Is multi talented and pure artist, very humble and helps reactors too.
There is no "favourite" to take/suggest...every single track of Ren has the "it-factor" so far...which is honestly kinda daunting in a way, in a very good way of course It is simply "a rabbit hole" to experience Ren´s artistic work..because you´ll experience different styles and genres of music performed by one artist He is a musical gem...which makes me now sound as like as being "a Ren fan-boy", I´m aware of that, but I´m truely don´t, because I´m way too old and therefore way too experienced for "unconditional cheering for something or someone"...I just very appreciate good music especially when combined with deep topics no matter which style or genre and no matter from whom.
@@millennialxreactions very! May I suggest a new one? Aurora, songwriter from Norway, is also the voice who called Elsa in Frozen2 and who sings the song at the end on One Piece live action. Runaway is a good one to start with, believed or not she wrote it when she was 11y/o!!
As others have said already in the comments, welcome to the Reneverse, Renegade, Renessaince. I always recommend watching Ren's 1 million subscriber speech if you TRULY want to know who he is. He def has music for everyone, and can't be placed in a box. This was a great reaction to what led most of us to this journey, and I know I'm looking forward to following your Ren Rabbit Hole Journey! LFG!
If you continue to explore the Reniverse, and I hope you do, you'll discover that he was inspired by everyone! He pays homage to so many artists from the Beastie Boys to Django Reinhardt to Shakespeare to George Orwell. He's a true artist and he comes with an important message I highly recommend the Tale of Jenny and Screech, full version, if you like incredible storytelling. AND his new album Sick Boi drops tomorrow!! Great reaction, guys... subbed! 💜🦇💚
@@millennialxreactions I second their suggestion of "The Tale of Jenny and Screech (full)" next. After that one, there's a number of directions you can go in, he has many different musical styles, all good. Also his previous band "The Big Push" has some interesting stuff. But definitely Jenny and Screech next.
Welcome to the Ren roller coaster lol can't wait for your next reaction because he has an arsenal of various sounding art!! I would suggest "losing it" (fisher rap retake) The hunger which are both rap heavy but also humble, Oceans, Blind eyed either the vevo video or the live jam session, enjoy lad 👍
I think it was brilliant when he mentioned Jimi Hendrix. Jimi Hendrix, Queen, Bob Marley, Janis Joplin, as well as Tupac are a small number of truly legendary performers, and none of them ever received a Grammy...💯🔥
Just found your channel today I think that Hope, Hi Ren, and Best Rapper Ever Tom Macdonald all are the Artist brain ❤️ Edit: saw NF in August amazing show
Not gonna lie, I busted up laughing at "you can give the middle finger to a lot of people who say they've got your back" while wearing an "I got your back" stick figure joke shirt! EPIC.
Ren is therapy for so many from one song he helps so many people open up in ways therapists struggle to do in person. First time i watched Hi Ren i had a panic attack but thought i needed to watch it again so i watched someone reacting to it that was the best thing i could do i have watched many times since. One thing i think about this song is it needs to be seen by every one even in schools after a certain age, because how many children kill themselves because of the negativity towards them from nasty comments and bullying to them believing what is said. I went through hell, bullied all through school to the point i attempted suicide twice, and to many issues in my life since then I am a recovering alcoholic 11 years clean I suffer PTSD and other health issues so the majority of bad days over good is high, if this bullying had been dealt with i may have had a reasonable life not the existence i have to deal with now
Ren Erin Gill is different. He's the next level of music. 🎶 I know you'll love to dive into his rabbit hole. You should also check out his old band The Big Push. When he was street busking with the band in Brighton 🇬🇧 I recommend "I shot the sheriff."👍 🇳🇴
Great reaction! I'm sure you'll be swamped with suggestions, but, you should check out some of his stuff from The Big Push (a busking band he was in), especially if you like raw, live music ❤
Ren has a huge rabbit hole, its realy frindly down there. So varied will blow your mind, he is self taught Rens story is amazing very sad in many ways but he is so positive and extreamly clever, regularly blows everyones mind often. His band the Big Push is wonderful, I shot the seriff etc and An English Man in New York wonderful. He is knowen for live 1 take vids, with Sam. Also What You Want will crack you up.
Every artist needs to hear this song. Great reaction to this amazing talent. I keep watching reaction videos for this song in particular and it just never gets old. Awesomeness.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Ren! He is the most unique and talented musician/artist that I have encountered in my life (and I've been around awhile LOL). This was filmed live in mostly one take (only one cut when it switches to hand held camera). A lot of his videos are live one-takes. You can't go wrong with any of his songs. Definitely check out more. Sick Boi is a great next step. If you want more hardcore rap, check out The Hunger, Genesis or Murderer. For fun tracks, What You Want or Losing It are great. Really enjoyed your reaction ❤
Great first reaction to Ren's music! Right around 7:44 in your reaction video you'll notice something strange and interesting in the Closed Captions of Hi Ren. Instead of a transcript of the lyrics at that moment, it says "Iraq War 20th Anniversary...etc." That actually hints at just how much of a genius Ren is. As part of a promotion leading up to the release of a new Ren song, Money Game 3, and his new album, Sick Boi, Ren and friends recently created a huge online interactive treasure hunt game, with clues planted all over RUclips and the internet. They were even able to plant a clue in the CC's of this song. The Iraq War Anniversary reference leads to another video on RUclips, where Ren planted another clue--and so on. The Ren rabbit hole is pretty wild and extensive... 🤠 Forgot to mention that I subbed, not just because you reacted to Ren, but because your reaction was deep, thoughtful and entertaining.
Definitely an Artist that can not be defined by one song... This was more performance art, he has plenty of songs/raps with beats and other instruments. However his latest release _"Money game part 3"_ is kinda like this but different.
Loved this reaction ❤ I’ve subscribed! Would love to see a reaction to Jenny and screech trilogy by Ren you just have to make sure it’s actually the trilogy video you watch as there’s a twist at the end which eve ruined if you watch them in the wrong order
Sick Boi would be a good follow up to hear his feelings/frustration about his decade-long misdiagnosis. Otherwise it depends on what type of music you want to experience from Ren: “Tale of Jenny and Screech (full version)” if you want to experience his “Bardcore” genre. “Murderer”, “Animal Flow”, “The Hunger”, “Losing It”, “Power” if you want to see his rap skills. His collaborations are also good - in particular the songs “Chalk Outlines” and “How to be Me” with Chinchilla, “Earned It/Man’s World/Falling” with Sam Tompkins, and many others. The live street performances with his former band named “The Big Push” are also outstanding.
Yes!!!! You will meet another Ren ruclips.net/video/uSeCuR51rek/видео.htmlsi=JmnSEfz1l5e1i2CY the Big Push and love it!! I was one of those who suggested Ren at your reaction to Dimash, where I wrote several of his songs because he's such a multifaceted and special artist. The trilogy /ruclips.net/video/TYAnqQ--KX0/видео.htmlsi=uC2OBDcyLezDm_5k is a must watch, he's a great storyteller and he does it engagingly.

Ren was misdiagnosed with mental illness for around ten years when what he actually had was Lyme disease. He’d started suffering from autoimmune induced psychosis, which lead the to think it was all in his head. It’s very likely he actually had what he thought were real conversations with someone else in his head. Also some cool facts about the video are that its a live performance (hes mic’d up and plugged in) and it was done in one take.
I’m a new subscriber so I apologize for not addressing you guys appropriately…I just wanted to share my thoughts on the statement you made about comparing artists… I understand your point because we are so conditioned to think that using a bit of influence from fellow artists is a cop out or some type of talent theft. And to be fair, we have all seen extreme examples of that… but all art, from music all the way to literature, has some sort of influential homage with a unique twist in the newest RENdition. The evolution of art through respectfully recycling is like experiencing a stellar, fantasy like, collaboration… btw are you guys brothers/twins?!?! It’s cool watching the way you both react in such perfect sync !!! 🤟🏼
Hi guys, thanks for a great reaction. I think you should do his Money game trilogy. Part one is an amazing one take video. It took 0ver 180 takes to get it right. He is releasing his part three today. ❤
My favourite by Ren has to be Animal Flow. I just love the music video for it, I think it's so clever and accessible and fun and thoughtful and just CREEPY AND AWESOME. A Tale of Jenny and Screech is a must listen, Money Game (1, 2, 3) are good, The Hunger is just... an incredible show of his technical skill, Crutch makes me cry all the time, Suicide, Chalk Outlines, damn. So many good songs.
I don't want Sick Boi next. I'd love you to see another side of Ren --- something like Losing It, The Hunger, Patience, Do You Believe. Soon, if not next, you should watch the Tale of Jenny, Screech, and Violet, which Ren has conveniently made into one video, the full trilogy. After that, on to some collaborations and band performances! Ren ft. Chinchilla "How to be me," and anything from The Big Push Red Suspenders performance. Whatever you choose, you're gonna have a blast!
Closed caption is a no no for Ren. He is such a genius on so many level including alliteration . You can hear it all and pay attention to the performance also
Ren is the Original "Bardcore Genre Bender" The Master Bard himself ( Shakespeare ) would have understood exactly where Ren was coming from. Ren isn't just a songwriter but rather a Performance Art Master who blends music and character acting from all the styles over the last 500 years and makes it modern and relatable to all generations even if normally you may not be a fan of whatever genre he is currently performing. While most good Performers can envoke some emotions in their audience, Ren is an Emotion Master who has control of all of them, From the Feel Good Vibes of Bongo Bong, to the Rebellion of Illist Of Our Time, to the Tragedy of Jenny and Screech, to the Mind Bending Rap Flow of Losing It, and the Internal Psych War of Hi Ren, Ren has it All! The Ren Rabbit Hole is Deep and Powerful! Get Ready for the Ride of your Life!
He has a great catalog of songs ...NONE are the same.. you will be surprised every single time... You MUST react to his masterpiece that is a trilogy of 3 songs woven together make a MIND BLOWING story.. The Tale Of Jenny and Screech (FULL)...which includes the 3rd one Violets Tale...which MUST be watched together so you can "GET" the ending..... and hes rapping skill are insane.. check out" Power" and "Losing It" Animal Flow, and Sick Boi
you'll find that every song that Ren does its totally engaging but in some many different ways, other then Rap its hard to categorize his genre of music because its all different. I hope you guys go down the REN-RABBIT Hole and find out for yourselves, just to name a few i like. ren and chinchilla live "chalk outlines" Ren - Murderer, ren ft viktus - down on the beat, oh cant forget Sick boi!!! and his album just dropped today too!! but theres so many amazing pieces
Let me know what kind of vibe you'd like next from Ren I'll offer a few suggestions. Happy, sad, silly, serious, rap, rock, country, beautiful? Ren covers it all.
WoW. This was an amazing reaction. 🤘❤️🔥🤘 You are actually the first guys I heard to notice and comment that this was done all in one take. Did you notice the use of light to highlight the 2 different voices? Likely will on a second viewing.😉 I am sorry that Ren's accent made it so difficult for you to catch many of the brilliant references in his lyrics. Those of us who listen to lots of accents get used to it and forget how challenging it was at first.🌹☹️🌹 If you are interested in a deeper dive, Knox Hill did the most complete breakdown of the lyrics I have ever seen. This is just 1 song, so perhaps you can try some others later on. The diss with King Dotta and Knox Hill battles were very interesting plus a video where Ren does speed lyrics, going faster and faster, it is breathtaking. His collabs. with Chinchilla are also great but he has so many great songs. The video you were talking about sharing with us, Blind Fury, sounds very interesting. Yes, please.👍 🥰🥰🥰Hugs from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦
Ren was misdiagnosed for years they had him on meds for depression bi polar and chronic fatigue he had a recording deal with Sony in 2010 why working on his album he started getting sick and couldn't finish it so they parted ways he move back to whales he got so sick he became bedridden for up 23 hours a day he has brain damage Organ damage Joint damage because he went so long misdiagnosed he has Lyme disease he had stem cell therapy done he in Canda getting treatment he has ADHD Too you should watch his video Ren what a day like for me he has to have IV take hand full meds has a thing put on his head to open path ways in his brain
If you look in the comments of the video- Ren did post the lyrics so in a pinned post, it definitely helps after that initial watch to catch everything!
Done live but not one take. This is an amalgam of the four takes plus some extra hand held. Great reaction though guys and looking forward to seeing more.
A decent voice? Lol. This dude has a great voice. He could sing a cappella and everyone would love it. “Decent voice” applies to singers like Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift. They’re not what anyone would call having amazing chops in the vocal category but they’re good enough for what they’re doing to make it enjoyable. And making money hand over fist because they are very good at that. They know what they can and can’t ‘pull off’.

"Where's your top ten hit..." Ripping on himself... but this week his new album hit #1 on the UK charts and #3 in the world. With health issues, with no label promoting him... Congrats Ren.

REN is an utter genius, talented& gifted. He has been through so much himself.
He literally now is saving lives& changing peoples lives.
He is a golden soul who comes along once in a generation.
Welcome down the REN rabbit hole
Love him ❤
Great reaction! Ren will blow your mind with his talent and versatility if you continue down the rabbit hole. He has an album dropping tomorrow called Sick Boi. The title track Sick Boi is a great video to do next.
I bought the album in October pre sales and its unbelievable!
Peace and love to you all
Chalk Outlines is amazing and The Tale of Jenny and Screech - genius storytelling!
P.S. Apologies for the lack of paragraphs. I didn't start with the intention of writing this much, lol. :)
Great reaction guys! Keep it going! Welcome to the RENiverse!❤️🔥❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
Glad you found this ;-) Thanks Renee! 😉 Welcome to the Ren rabbit hole. Dont worry, ure in Great company ❤️🔥 new sub
Cheers.
Thanks! We appreciate that.
@@millennialxreactionshello je me suis également abonnée à la réaction de REN salutations depuis la France fan de REN depuis quelques semaines je ne le quitte plus merci
The Tale of Jenny & Screech (Official Music Video) 13:30 min
3 parts all put together in the right order. Every part is a one Take live video. I'm pretty sure you are smart guys and you will get the twist.
The Hunger, Murderer, Loosing it, Humble, Money Game, Genesis.....
Chalk Outlines Live and How to be me Live Performance with Chinchilla
The Big Push (The Band Ren was playing before he went to Canada for Therapie)
Cant forget about his band trick the fox
I like NF but he has nothing on REN. REN has no genre, no limits to his talents, and is artist for the ages. Welcome to REN rabbit hole!
No, not a Ren rabbit hole.... HE IS A BEING WHOLE!!!❤
Yeah, it's addictive, eh?
I really like Chalk Outlines. It's a duet with a singer named Chinchilla. Thank you for your reaction to Ren!
It is perfect. He's a one take prince!!
And welcome to the Ren rabbithole!!
I suggest The Tale of Jenny & Screech and Violets Tale. Watch them in the video that has all 3. It's like 13:30 long.
Welcome to the Reniverse. Should you choose to go down this rabbit hole, you will likely never be the same again.
He is an odyssey …
Glad you’ve (finally!) found him 😁👍
You’ve got such a lot to discover - enjoy! X
Got to love Ren i really enjoyed your reaction ❤ thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
This is from another post on a different reaction
Stages of watching Hi Ren:
This looks creepy
Guitar sounds nice
Oh he’s singing
Will the whole song be like this?
Here’s the beat
Ok he’s rapping now
This guy is scary
Now he seems nice
Oh I see what he’s doing
This is interesting
This is intense
The mean guy is a jerk
This is INTENSE
Make it stop
I haven’t blinked or taken a breath in 2 minutes
Go Ren!
YES!
OOO-OO-OO-OO-OO-..
I need some time to be still…
Welcome to Ren's Rabit Hole.
Please do MORE Ren!!!
You won't regret it!
THAT was a great reaction. Thanks guys.
Guitar? React to some of Ren's band The Big Push! I shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/HipHop mashup
You don't really need the closed captions (they're distracting and sometimes incorrect) with Ren because his diction is superb, no matter how fast he's singing or speaking.
You need to go down the Ren roller coaster ride, he does most songs in 1 take like this one, it took 4 takes multiple cameras to get this take.
Is multi talented and pure artist, very humble and helps reactors too.
There is no "favourite" to take/suggest...every single track of Ren has the "it-factor" so far...which is honestly kinda daunting in a way, in a very good way of course
It is simply "a rabbit hole" to experience Ren´s artistic work..because you´ll experience different styles and genres of music performed by one artist
He is a musical gem...which makes me now sound as like as being "a Ren fan-boy", I´m aware of that, but I´m truely don´t, because I´m way too old and therefore way too experienced for "unconditional cheering for something or someone"...I just very appreciate good music especially when combined with deep topics no matter which style or genre and no matter from whom.
Well said
"There is not a person that cant relate to something, i mean unless youre a psychopath!"
I wish that was summed up enough to put on a hat
Hi! I talked to you about Ren in a previous video (the one you were thanking Dears), so glad to see this reaction!!
Hello, hope you enjoyed!
Hi guys, Ren big fan here, loved the reaction, I've subscribed. If you like good rap, will go for Illness of our time as next song reaction 🙂❤️
Thank you!
There is no bad Ren song, there is also none the same as the next. Subbed to see more Ren ❤❤

If you continue to explore the Reniverse, and I hope you do, you'll discover that he was inspired by everyone! He pays homage to so many artists from the Beastie Boys to Django Reinhardt to Shakespeare to George Orwell. He's a true artist and he comes with an important message
I highly recommend the Tale of Jenny and Screech, full version, if you like incredible storytelling. AND his new album Sick Boi drops tomorrow!!
Great reaction, guys... subbed! 💜🦇💚
Thank you!!
I would suggest "losing it" (fisher rap retake)
The hunger which are both rap heavy but also humble, Oceans, Blind eyed either the vevo video or the live jam session, enjoy lad 👍
I think it was brilliant when he mentioned Jimi Hendrix. Jimi Hendrix, Queen, Bob Marley, Janis Joplin, as well as Tupac are a small number of truly legendary performers, and none of them ever received a Grammy...💯🔥
Just found your channel today I think that Hope, Hi Ren, and Best Rapper Ever Tom Macdonald all are the Artist brain ❤️
Edit: saw NF in August amazing show
Nice!
So glad you guys got to this! Dimash and Ren are my two fave artists these days. More of both please!!
Not gonna lie, I busted up laughing at "you can give the middle finger to a lot of people who say they've got your back" while wearing an "I got your back" stick figure joke shirt! EPIC.
Well played Bill, Well played... Lol
Ren is therapy for so many from one song he helps so many people open up in ways therapists struggle to do in person.
First time i watched Hi Ren i had a panic attack but thought i needed to watch it again so i watched someone reacting to it
that was the best thing i could do i have watched many times since. One thing i think about this song is it needs to be seen
by every one even in schools after a certain age, because how many children kill themselves because of the negativity
towards them from nasty comments and bullying to them believing what is said. I went through hell, bullied all through
school to the point i attempted suicide twice, and to many issues in my life since then I am a recovering alcoholic 11 years
clean I suffer PTSD and other health issues so the majority of bad days over good is high, if this bullying had been dealt
with i may have had a reasonable life not the existence i have to deal with now
Glad you guys watched this and had open minds! Got my sub!!
Thank you!
Go down the rabbit hole. You will be amazed.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it
Great first reaction to Ren's music! 🤠 Forgot to mention that I subbed, not just because you reacted to Ren, but because your reaction was deep, thoughtful and entertaining.
if you enjoyed this you would really like the tales of jenny and screech. You should check that out. Hope to see it soon.
It’s called the tale of Jenny & screech
Sick Boi would be a good follow up to hear his feelings/frustration about his decade-long misdiagnosis. Otherwise it depends on what type of music you want to experience from Ren:
“Tale of Jenny and Screech (full version)” if you want to experience his “Bardcore” genre.
He's a GenreBender for sure! Rock to War Pigs mash up by his band The Big Push. You'll love it!❤
Definitely interested in that. Thanks

Here is some further information on the UK's Ren Gill (courtesy of Jens Randolff who is probably trying to catch up with all the reactions!)
Ren is in Calgary, Canada for at least six months (Summer of 2023), undergoing treatments such as IV therapy and other interventions five days a week, as well as surgeries (wisdom tooth removal and cavitation surgery).
Haha thank you, and yes we are brothers. But we are 10 years apart in age.
All live and in 1 take
Hey guys this has been one of my favorite Ren reactions..thanks
Thanks we appreciate that!
Subed for more Ren!!!
We will definitely be doing more!
Sick Boi, chalk outlines. The discography runs deeper than you would expect. And you never know what to expect on any given track! Ren is a genius
I'd love to see you react to Ren doing "Suicide" I've never seen anything like it. Ren is amazing.
Shakespeare would be drooling at Rens talent and proud that his words get put to good use .
Great reaction. You've got to watch "the tale of Jenny and screech" next (full version)
He has a great catalog of songs
...NONE are the same.. you will be surprised every single time...
Welcome to the Renaverse

you'll find that every song that Ren does its totally engaging but in some many different ways, other then Rap its hard to categorize his genre of music because its all different.
Your tshirt made me laugh. I got your back 😁
Let me know what kind of vibe you'd like next from Ren I'll offer a few suggestions. Happy, sad, silly, serious, rap, rock, country, beautiful? Ren covers it all.
WoW. This was an amazing reaction. 🤘❤️🔥🤘
You are actually the first guys I heard to notice and comment that this was done all in one take.
Did you notice the use of light to highlight the 2 different voices? Likely will on a second viewing.😉
I am sorry that Ren's accent made it so difficult for you to catch many of the brilliant references in his lyrics. Those of us who listen to lots of accents get used to it and forget how challenging it was at first.🌹☹️🌹
If you are interested in a deeper dive, Knox Hill did the most complete breakdown of the lyrics I have ever seen.
Yes, please.👍
🥰🥰🥰Hugs from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed!
Beautiful reaction guys
❤❤❤
Guys you didnt have to pause the video so much. He is an indepentment artist, he wants you to share and react to his videos..
Sick Boi!
Please more Ren!! He just released a masterpiece earlier today!!
Wow where have you been.
All done in one take, I would ignore the subtitles lots of errors. Ren does the choreography on all his videos.
Done live but not one take. This is an amalgam of the four takes plus some extra hand held.
Great reaction though guys and looking forward to seeing more.
loved ur reaction!!pls do money game part 1,2&3 & the tale of jenny and screech FULL VERSION.masterpieces❤️
Sorry, a great voice
