In response to interest about Battleaxe PvP in Albion, I decided to make this video. This is basically everything I know about battleaxe; now you know it too. Here I teach you how to choose fights, how to gear up, and how to fight your duels as efficiently as possible to maximize your chance of success. Be sure to let me know your thoughts in the comments. I forget to mention two match-ups that are fairly important:
1) 1h Arcane - avoid - E has purge making your kit weak to it, and there is nothing great to reflect
2) Dual Sword - neutral - even after the nerf it is still pretty strong, but you can anticipate and reflect the E, so it is not overly difficult

This video is gold. The voice over is perfect. I see to many build videos that are useless. They read the abilities with a couple of random fights with music and call it a guide. i hope you can move onto other styles of play with your next guide (healer, Range kiting, Dtank ect.

The reason that assasin jacket is better with inferno shield is that inferno shield gives flat resistance bonuses and reflect. This makes you oponent do about the same damage to you when inferno shield is up and it dissincentivises the opponent to attack into reflect. The passive damage of the armor ends up being just an upside. This doubles down when you use hunter hood as well. With no buffs up they are about the same.

If i use moisac with mercenary jacket
I think this will give me the same damage as if i was running assasin jacket and i will get more survivability with merc
So do you think its still better to go assasin with second ability?
Its going to be alot more expensive like this but if its better i think it being expensive will be fine
Also you said battle rush is the best in the mists but i am not planning on playing mists i will just farm open world and try to take favourable fights if i find some and maybe contest cores or chests this is different content do you still think that battle rush is better in my case ?

I havent really done much PVP yet, so i need to improve, would you recommend doing corrupted dungeons in yellow zone to practise? Also do you have first three axes at max spec or just battleaxe. Yes, all axes to 100, baxe and Bear Paw 120. Yes, non-lethal CD is a great way to learn PvP and get some PvE fame in the process.

Good question. I have NEVER lost a fight due to mana. It just isn't a problem. As long as you aren't double Eing when you shouldn't, you won't have a problem.

Thank you for such a well-organized guide! As a bear-paw/badon main who recently returned to albion I'd like to hear your thoughts on how bear paws fare against the battleaxe. Back when solo dungeons did not close in 90s

How do you feel about Facebreaker as the offhand?
I've started using it a bit lately. It's not bad, especially after buff.
Nice video, i just gave up my spear and spec up axe. But why not hp+life steal food as first 2 q and first e do not benefit from cdr? For high ip, does this build still work?
You make a REALLY good point. Honestly I ONLY do the CDR for W and boots CD. Mobility is that important for Mists no-lifing =/
But the value of lifesteal food increases this next patch as the value of CD fades away, so I will probably experiment with your recommendation :)
I found it difficult to fight against merc jacket esp dg/ dual sword with purge, any tip?
It is definitely a difficult matchup. Just know going into the fight (if you choose to take it) that they have an advantage over you on the jacket front. I usually give that a 80-100 IP value. So if you are equal IP but comfortable fighting someone 100 above you, then go ahead and take it knowing they have a slight advantage. @@kychan6296
good video, im beginner at this build and what the best chest item out of mercenary jacket and hellion u suggest me to use for mix of pve and pvp?
They are both very good for either, so it's a tossup imo.

@@r84onow6 still a tossup lol. Also, it's situational. If you can kite to a large set of mobs with Hellion Jacket you will heal to full and win, but otherwise I like mercenary, mostly because it's so much cheaper and equally strong.
Tenecity jacket price is really low here in east server (a little cheaper than mercenary and assassin) would it actually be the best choice if I just want to use inferno shield jacket?
If it is cheaper, then yes absolutely. It might even have slightly better stats than assassin, not sure.
I'm playing battleaxe with mistwalker jacket fiend and facebreaker is that good too?
Sounds OP actually haha. I haven't tried Mistwalker; that would change up the strategy a bit I think.

Anyway, dude, what about both Specter Hood and Avalonian Cape? Specter Hood resets the cooldown (CD) of equipped jacket/armor spell(s) (specially which double Hellion Jacket is the hidden gem for 1vX) and Avalonian Cape for both Bridgewatch and Theford cape combine plus lower cooldown compare to these 2.
I haven't tried Specter/Hellion in Mists, but I'm sure it's viable. I just find too much value in the double defensive; to me this build is irreplaceable for the strength, cost effectiveness, low death fame, and versatility vs most other builds until it gets materially nerfed. We will see if this upcoming Hunter nerf is enough.
For Avalonian, yea that cape is the best hands down. This video was released before it existed. I may have to release an updated guide in the coming weeks.

What setup would suggest for mobile players for both pvp and pve, can be both different sets. I would prefer something that mechanically not as demanding as outplaying other players can be tough on mobile.
That's a great question, but I have never played on mobile so I'm not 100% sure. I would imagine cursed is a good tree because it's all point and click. Look at 1h curse, Cursed Skull, or Demonic

I'm thinking that back to back nerfs will, but I will be putting it to the test on release date to see. I think it will still be viable if well-timed.
@@ironlifegaming6689 yeah same. Been thinking solider helmet new buff might be a replacement, also been testing demon helmet with the kit aswell.
For cursed dungeon is this build also recommended or just for mists only?
I don't have enough experience in CDs to say definitively. I will say that when I (rarely) do CDs I do take this build, and I see LESS success in CDs with it. I think that speaks more to the fact that you are forced to fight whoever you encounter and cannot pick and choose your fights. Encountering purge in CDs is common, and it really hurts this build, so keep that in mind.
I think I would lean more toward taking purge on armor or helm for CDs, but I haven't put this theory to the test.

Still playing, jsut haven't had the time to make videos. I really want to rework the battleaxe guide or release a Carving guide, we will see. For now, Ill say: don't use Mistwalker on battleaxe :)

I still use 100% Hunter Hood, nothing else. I am very close to swapping to Fiend Cowl though.

Welcome :) Viable, yes, though parts are outdated. Badon is no longer a preferred matchup, for example, because Retaliate has been harshly nerfed. I still use the same build, though. Once Wild Blood releases I will make an updated guide.

what is minimum ip spec that I need for me to use this build?
Too general of a question to answer easily. To be viable in solo Mists, you prob want 1200+. Even then, you'll have to choose your fights very carefully. The more spec/fame you have, the more each fight is weighted in your favor, and your overall experience will increase exponentially.
I cant decide if i should use inferno shield, life steal aura or merc jacket.
inferno best for ALL circumstances, others are significantly better in specific situations. So it depends. baxe vs baxe or baxe vs dual swords the merc jacket wins.
@@ironlifegaming6689 is assassin jacket better than merc for inferno shield? I know you get more dmg with assassin but does that outweigh the loss of armor and other protection?
You can W for W against warbow you just have to triple Q before the slow wears off to keep them in range. Hunter hood there E and boots there boots. Also in warbow matchup you should always try to root with Q and double E since your not concerned with maximizing DPS through using 1 e. Mentioning this as a warbow player.

No bow VoDs =/ The only bow I fight is Badon. The others are hell, agile with slows, but not necessarily auto loss.

Yes, if you die in red or black zone areas.

My latest videos have some Arcane matchups. It seems to be pretty easy, but I think those opponents were not particularly good, so...not sure yet on that matchup.

Yea not bad. You could replace the hood with Cultist Cowl or Mage if you want more PvE damage.
Be really nice to get more of these with different weapons l really appreciate

I already know the construction of a purge coat, muisak and sandals.
I haven't been able to adapt, I've been thinking about playing as a torch, with a reflective hood, and soldier's boots.
@@Scrolls1 I still like leather jacket, but Fiend Cowl is growing on me since Hunter Hood suffered so many nerfs. Also, I've switched to Carving as main weapon. Neither of those are really low cost though lol =/

ooo good question. Prob high IP 1h curse w/ Demon Helm or Fiend Cowl and Wanderlust boots. That or a good Carving. Or Boltcaster w/ Noise Eraser and Merc jacket. Or ANYTHING with mage robe :)
