I appreciate ur videos I'm subscribed to ALOT of youtubers on albion and alot of it is the same stuff over and over, but yours especially recently are much more helpful for an intermediate player like myself, much appreciated
Once again ,Vic Zane, this video and your comments on it are the most elaborate content I've found about pvp in Albion. I have learned almost as much from watching your videos as from fighting in pvp situation. So thanks again for all your analysis and precious advices. For now I'm learning pvp in YZ mists and Knightfall Abbeys. And start recording my fights so I can better analyse why I won and above all, why I lost my fights. And I would like to thank you for giving me and all of us confidence against higher IP players, that I used to flee from as soon as I see the (big) IP or HP disadvantage. When I'll get ready (means when I'll get richer) I'm eager to go in lethal mists, and why not, maybe meet you for real one day ! I have another question : what software do you use for recording ? In advance, I thank you.
Hey! I'm very happy to read this! The fact that you are recording and rewatching your fights is the best way to get better! And I've heard good things also about YZ mists but don't forget that people always act different in lethal and non-lethal zones. It might be that you get used to something and then turns out in black mists opponents will be quite different. I use OBS and just have the 'replay buffer' on so if something interesting happens I can take the last 5 minutes from there as a recording. I think Windows Game Bar actually does the same thing just with lower resolution.
i was the guy who asked how to fight against dual sword as spears and i really appreciate it. But my problem was the common dual swords build (hunter hood , mercenary jacket and plate boots. My set is assassin jacket , hunter hood and plate boots) my problems are 1-) if i take ambush to kite their mercenary jacket i cant brawl even if i dodge their E since inferno shield really helps the brawling 2-) if i take inferno shield i cant really escape from their bloodlust. if i try to E through them and run away im just gonna get rooted. i also realized how crucial is to have stalker hood for 1h spear. Otherwise even if you outplay your opponent you cant really execute them. I really agree your opinions on the hunter hood , its such a bait item to have.
Decent stuff my friend. Very useful explanation here. I mean, Iam a guy with a lot of 1v1 pvp experience, and still learning, taking some good tips from you. Keep do it!
First 🎉 I love these descriptive guides. I would like to see more guides similar to your spear series but for other weapons, think it would be helpful for many people.
as long as the defensive isnt some kind of unvunrability, there is actually a 4th counter, just so insanely much damage that it doesnt matter. this might sound dump but there is actually a lot of builds that do this, the boltcasters was a good example, if you proc keepercape boltcasterers, that is also enough to "counter" defences
I'd say that in 60% of the cases being patient is more important than being agressive, now with practice you can learn when to go 100% agro and when not, but at least for me as a main curse player, most of my best paydays I got by being patient, just last week I managed to bank 1 month of premium on an arcane spiderling by waiting and killing 5 players and cashing the spider too 👌🔝👑
5 players on same spider is crazy! Average curse staff moment I guess :) Maybe it's more personal than I thought. I am naturally too patient so I have to force myself to be more aggressive usually but seems like you have learned to be the other way where you focus on patience instead.
@@VicZaneGaming For the arcane spiderling is pretty easy if it's an area that has circulation like near one of the camps or it's an enchanted mist where people look for boss artifacts and the spider, the higher the tier of the spider the more is worth to wait for people to start it cause they'll get low and it's easier to catch off guard even if they are sweatlords. On Eu I made on avg 1.5M/H in the last played week even with sometimes being to agressive to make some content for yt but even when I die I have my investments so I'm not afraid of trying, curse can make miracles happen when the enemy is not prepared, so patience always pays off. With better ping on Eu is even better as is harder to miss your main combo and easier to kite.
Yeah, good spot! Well, I don't break it on purpose but if it does get below 50% I don't repair it which ends up dropping my average IP by 16 (and increasing its cooldown a bit).
Let’s go sensei great content as always I ve been playing the game almost a month and I’m about to get to 100 kills the thing about surprising the enemy is working good kinda ratty tho but hey Albion online I guess 😅 keep it up brother
Great video but my probleme is I'm too aggressive that I dont let much space for my mind to think properly should I switch to a kiting build such as bows to teach myself Patience or what do you suggest. Your videos are really helpfull not like other youtubers that just repeat the same thing over and over you're the best 👌✨
Thank you!! My approach is to be very aggressive in the moment but then try to learn more patience through re-watching recordings of my fights. This works for me and honestly there are many lessons that I've learned in painful ways but fast because of forcing myself to fight, chase and otherwise go for many risks. It's normal to 'not think properly' when you are in new situations but the more you create those situations the easier it becomes!
Great content as usual, as a fellow spear player it's really useful to get back into the game. I am currently struggling a lot against battleaxes while using your build. They have mercenary jacket and hunter hood usually so kiting them with impaler seems a better idea, however with first E they always poke me harder, and brawling seems a bad idea since they have hunter hood and mercenary jacket plus with second E they outheal me a lot even with roast pork. How can I deal with them? is it just a lost fight? (I use stalker hood - assassin jacket - plate boots - spear - torch)
It's definitely not a lost fight. I like fighting battleaxes. You are right that they excel at brawling but you should be able to kite them decently. And I also agree with you that Impaler feels better for this. Battleaxe E-s are much much easier to dodge than impalers so I feel good about fighting from 10m against a battleaxe. In my experience it's still the battleaxe's priority to close the distance and not yours. You can usually get 2-3 Q stacks before they are on top of you. Then you can choose to E through them and keep maintaining some space. One thing that makes this matchup difficult is the rending rage Q. Especially if your ping isn't ideal, it can sometimes feel like their Q has almost same range as your Q. In reality, however, they need to get quite close to be effective and you can abuse this a bit. If they have merc jacket, you need to either use invis on assassin jacket or avoid committing into a brawl before your E is ready so you have the option to E out from merc jacket. If they are using adrenaline rush, sometimes they will be able to just run away after you kite successfully but that's life. You still have good enough mobility to have a chance to catch up.
In my opinion, currently solo dungeons are only good to practice your spells when you are really new to Albion and going into the black zone the first times. They are not good for money or to get better in the long run. As for tracking, I have never even tried it so I don't have any opinion.
Corrupteds are quite different from the mists and my 1h spear build is going to be quite mid-tier there - not bad but also not very strong. You won't be able to utilise the flexibility of the spear and it's much more difficult to use spacing to your advantage in CDs. However, Daybreaker is very strong for corrupteds if you want to stick to spears in general!
In my experience there are plenty of 4.1 and 4.2 players in the mists that you can potentially fight with the IP you mentioned. Although it's a good idea also to get your specs up so you can have a better chance. If you buy like 10-20 cheap sets to eliminate the fear of losing money from your brain, you can start taking all kinds of fights, including those that are bad in theory but will still teach you a ton!
@@VicZaneGaming sorry i didnt reply to this until now. i dont really have gear fear, i come from escape from tarkov. i knew they were bad fights to take but didnt know if taking them anyways was a good idea. now that you've explained it ill take them now.
I don't think you need to be good in a competitive sense in order to enjoy something and have a lot of fun! But hey, if you are not feeling it, it's also awesome to go find something else you like!
bro there is no point to fight with db sword or carving sword with spear if enemy ip is same as yours and if he is not noob he will win the fight.just cripple sprint and run away.
Oh but I completely disagree! My favorite fights are spear vs carving - so much room for fun strategy and outplays. And don't forget that everybody makes a lot of mistakes!
In the near future I will create some way for fight replays to be submitted so I can include them in my analyses. Not yet sure about 1on1 coaching but thanks for asking about it - I'll keep it in mind!

If you are able to fail in fun ways, you've won Albion!!
