My uncle was a Ping rep and salesman/fitter for 25-30 years until about 5 years ago started in Phoenix and finished in San Antonio and growing up I can tell you how hard individually these ping guys work to fit everyone perfect...they really do a great job (some problems when the sons took over the company just younger ideas but he had a good run and I had a good childhood with ping clubs lol don't get the free stuff anymore lol but I still play Ping irons anyway) great video thanks mark and guys from Ping!
Was very fortunate to play against Dominic and Danny Willet at Walton Heath when they launched the new tour truck. Excellent day out and really enjoyed the truck. Great videos mark. Keep them coming.

I watch ur videos all the time mark and learn every time! I'm 15 and shot 47 on 9 holes last weekend, my usual score is around 55-60 so was so happy! Keep making videos as it helps so many people's game get better
I was fitted at Ping HQ in Gainsborough a couple of months back. You really do get the same service. I ended up with KBS shafts in my i20 irons. They give you what's best for you backed up by Trackman/n flight info. I also went G25 driver, 3 wood and hybrid and Gorge wedges. There is nothing like KNOWING everything fits you properly. Does improve confidence. If you hit a bad one it's you not the kit!
Last Year when the Fedex Cup tour was at Eastlake. I was an intern for the PGA and got to go on the a Titleist van
I emailed Ping directly about 8 weeks ago as I felt my K15 3 Hybrid was a little too toed up for me and they replied saying that the K15 Hybrids were the ONLY Hybrid clubs they could alter. Not sure whether older versions also apply but that's straight from the horses mouth.

I've been 4 wedges for over 15 years now. No guess work required when it comes to approaches and my 3 iron isn't missed now that a 3 hybrid fills the gap between my 4 iron and fairway wood quite nicely. Interesting about the driver loft too. I've been using 10 degrees, but was thinking it was launching too high (maybe not now!). Will arrange that appointment with my local fitting centre soon ;-)

I have a 49° Pitching wedge, a 52° gap wedge, a 56° sand wedge an a 60° lob wedge. I love having 4 wedges for use around the green and within 100 meters.

It would be interesting to know pro's preferences on the hotmelt in their driver. It changes swing weight, flight, feel, and sound, but how much? It would be interesting to get not only their perspective, but also their common settings. I know for most golfers adding glue won't be ground breaking because small adjustments won't lead to us making contact out of the middle, or change our swing path, but more knowledge about equipment is interesting to me and probably others.

I worked at the factory in Gainsborough on the Irons G10 etc about 2007-2008. Do you know Cedric Taylor & Dean Sewell and his mum? 3 very nice people, Cedric, I think retired a few years ago.
Your videos help me so much!!! I was getting new clubs and getting reviews on clubs! That is how I found you! I got the Nike VRS Covert Driver and the Nike VRS Covert Irons!!! I LOVE THEM!!! I am a junior (13 years old) and I got standard shafts. I hadn't gotten new clubs in a while so I was still hitting junior shaft.. Now the standard regular mens shafts help me so much!! Your thoughts on why? btw I have a high swing speed for a 13 year old
I just started playing golf about 5 years ago .Got my self a set of G10 ping golf clubs . I changed my 3 5 6 irons for ping hybrids which has helped a lot . My driver is a R11s ( a present ) which is set at 8.5 after watching the vid Iam going to change it to 10.5 I live in Belfast where would I get fitted for a new set of png clubs ? Best on the net chum . Thanks

Interesting. Tom Wishon insists that the equipment the pros use is very different. IIRC he references how the addition of the glue in the head changes the weight distribution and the sound and feel of the woods. As well as their lofts being exact as opposed to the tolerances we are subject to - i.e. we may get fitted for a 10.5 but the club we get sent is a 12. Same for lie angle tolerances. Plus none of the tour pros use the standard issue Ping shafts.

Yes, i would be very interested in a discussion on this. Also, if mark ever gets to interview another guy like this, i'd like to know why the shafts they offer are over 45" when the average on tour is something like 44" or 44.5". If they need a shorter shaft for more accuracy, surely we do, too? We're not all mugs who get seduced by hitting our longest drive with the longest-shafted driver (in amongst all the wild misses) and think this is the best driver!

Might I suggest your video photographer slow down his pans. By the time you finish watching this particular segment you're almost nauseous; way too much camera motion. Slower is better.
