I believe it throws you in a world of awe and wonder at first then the struggle of reality and unpredictability of life. It basically shows you’re childlike innocence and splendour against like seemingly insurmountable odds and obstacles that I believe truly make this show unique in its own rights. Whether or not you believe that child like innocence remains after the battering of its own ideals it drives us to see it grow and mature, whether thats to persist itself on its own beliefs and strengthens that belief or tears it down to build a better one makes the entire arc both splendid and terrible in a sense. One I thing I know for sure is that an anime where they always face decent to downright unreasonable people this arc showed a monster that could have easily killed them but chose to be human for a purpose simpler or maybe even more wonderful that its very existence and I truly love this anime.
A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one. I haven't finished the arc, but it's amazing how Gon was super innocent after just leaving NGL, saying "Kite is alive", but now he's found that his innocence betrayed him. I wish Killua was a little more like Kite, but he serves his purpose as the brains of the two. This is hard to say, but... this arc (idk if the NGL part is a seperate arc, but I didnt like those pre-king episodes) may be better than Phantom Troupe arc for me, I can't tell. They are both good arcs, but this one takes you on more of an emotional rollercoaster.
I love the detail when Killua is running to Gon that you can hear Killua’s footsteps. Because earlier he says that he doesn’t think about moving silently. But he was just trying to get to Gon as fast as possible, just to help him.
This is one of the best scene in HxH I never get tired of watching over again... One o the most epic scene in the history of anime'... Yoshihiro Togashi is the best mangaka in history...

In any anime, this episode is the ONLY time where I was clutching for my heart of how painful this transformation is. Seeing the happy go lucky gon, succumbed in anger to the point where you cannot even recognize him but see him crying. This is the only time where the main character absolutely destroys an antagonist, but instead of overpowering joy, you feel pain, just the most painful event that have ever happened to a main character in any anime in this genre.
This just made me think of how netero was like “You think I can’t pray with only one arm” Gon like “You think I can’t Jun Ken Rock your world with only one arm”
Do you remember the ball game netero played with Gon and Killua from the beginning? He used one arm and one leg to hide and control the ball. He lost the same arm and leg fighting with Merueum. Same ball game but different result. You can assume the main character is shifting from gon and killua to Merueum because they are all playing ball game with netero.
he wasn't really an innocent person by this time in the CA arc , even at the beginning he watched people die and befriended a murderer . In short he doesn't give a fuck . As long as he personally likes the person he doesn't care how bad they are.

There is something so intense about the last episodes of this arc that those who haven't watched the series won't understand. I have never watched a show that builds as slowly as HxH and then delivers so powerfully. It is a masterpiece in slowburn storytelling.
