Wrong...china already has one 075 heli carrier on duty and another 7 coming along. The 055 cruisers are at least 8. Two are already in service, the Nanchang and the Lhasa....

The only British dominance to the other countries in 2021 is the Strategic nuclear submarine. Their destroyers are being repaired, only one of them is in service. And there are not enough f35 for their carriers. Therefore they must lean on the American military support. And British naval strength Has been overstated

You are wrong, they are not over stated unlike the other navies that reach 100-700 assets listed. It's because the royal auxiliary fleet are not included. In other navies their auxiliary fleet are listed among their navy assets. And also the size of navy depends on tonnage and quality not quantity.
We have loads of f35s in order but the yanks are slow builders. The UK is currently building 4 new nuckear missile submarines, 3 atack submarines, 18 frigates and loads more.
At the moment the Royal Navy is getting future generations of warships built. By 2030 24 modern Frigates and destroyers. And new nuclear submarines are all ordered.

Taiwan-84 ships, Italy-48 but more advanced?, South Korea-just over 100, India-just over 200, France-80 plus, UK-80? (Oh Dear), Japan-100 even (Too Few), Russia-250 plus!!, China-300 plus (and more coming), U.S.-200 only but the most advanced?. So the numbers of aircraft round them up, I see now. The whole combined modern fleets do not come close to the numbers of the combined fleets of WWII, but they are more modern in comparison.
Yes of course, naturally. A single US Fleet could wipe out the entire Pacific Fleet of 1945 without a single sighting of the modern US fleet. That is how much more powerful the smaller more advanced Navy of today is.

Add up any of the figures for any country on this list and it doesn't match the total number because they only list certain types of ships.
True, but that under counts the total because of so many support ships. These are not in the "official" count and are not "USS" ships, but "USNS" ships that are considered "auxiliary" vessels run by the Military Sealift Command and similar groups. An example is the fast command support ships, designated "AOE". There is one accompanying every Carrier Strike Group. There are about 130 of these ships not counted in this video. There are also several dozen ships in the "Ready Reserve Fleet."
You can make a bloody destruction with all these boats.
A good video, but it missed out several classes of warship. For example, the Russian battlecruisers, which are considered the biggest surface combat ships in the world and the main threat to American carrier groups. In addition, there is American cruisers which are larger than destroyers. They provide a command platform, as well as possessing very large numbers of anti ship missiles. Plus two of the helicopter carriers of the Japanese Navy are being converted into true aircraft carriers.
Light VTOL aircraft carriers. They wouldn't even have ski jumps. But yeah, the rest of JMSDF is pretty damn terrifying.
Battlecruisers were retired after ww2, and they suck as they are big ass boats with big unreliable guns and very slow. It is a cruise missile paradise.

Russian Navy have very old ships poorly maintained, When war breaks out, they aren't as reliable as you thought they are. See what happens to their Tanks in the invasion of Ukraine.

Most of the French Navy sits at the bottom of the sea, courtesy of the Royal Navy. Often at times of conflict they had more ships and bigger ships but when you're led by donkeys!
The US Military has Machine shops too, ( plus over 18,000 CNC non military machine shops in the U.S.) If needed, the Military could give them work.

This top is based on the number of ships? So why is the UK ahead of France and India when it has far fewer ships and a navy that is not really as powerful as it was a few decades ago ? Its only advantage is to have two aircraft carriers. Even if it's useful, I have a hard time seeing how it can make a navy much more efficient than these two competitors with twice as many ships. (Especially since France has 3 Helicopters carriers). If someone can explain it to me, so that I can understand it better, thank you.
Naval power is generally equated by tonnage. The French have a lot of small craft, patrol boats etc. It looks good on paper to have more hardware but it is how effective it would be in a naval encounter.
British Navy was the strongest Navy in the world.
But now, it isn't.
United States has the strongest Navy.
My favorite ships are (USS) Gearing, (IJN) Yamato, Bismarck, (USS) Iowa, (USS) Des Monies including (HMS) King George V and (USS New York.

China has 0 helicopter carriers? What do you call the type 71 or type 75? China has like 7-8 helicopter carriers which have like 20-30,000 ton displacement, larger than some carriers from counties not called USA.

@@zaurakdigis I included the type 71 also, which can launch 4 and probably more in wartime. They can reduce tanks or ground vehicles and put more helicopters instead. Even type 71 is more than the 1-2 you were talking about, which basically every destroyer or frigate can launch also, which china has scores of. So china can transport troops from 100 or more helicopters if they need to for amphibious assault.

What does fighter jets have to do with helicopter carriers? Absolutely nothing. You were wrong. China does have helicopter carriers.
As for fighter jets, that's what aircraft carriers are for, which china has 3 currently, with more on the way.
Those helicopter carriers can also launch drones. Vertical or horizontal lift after they install catapults, which the type 76 will have. China also has autonomous drone mother ships, unmanned autonomous sailing ships which launch dozens of drones for recon or attack.

Interesting list and I would agree these are the top 10 though I disagree to some degree on the order. It would be useful if you defined the criteria by which you determined the order. Key disagreement: I would put France and UK ahead of Japan because they have nuclear attack submarines. These are infinitely better than diesel subs. British nuclear subs basically eliminated the Argentine Navy as a factor during the Falklands war. I might also put the Indian Navy just ahead of Japan because it has nuclear subs as well.
This is a list of "Top 10 navies", not "Top 10 nuclear sub capability"
Im Indian , but i would agree that Japan is slightly ahead of us due to an overall superior Destroyer and Submarine fleet, though we are better when it comes to Carrier capability, Frigates and Corvettes.
But India is well ahead of both France and Uk.
There is the competition about tonnages and the best show-off. GB has many things going bad, but I'd never bet against someone who has the most real big fights under the belt and never really lost. I'm not from any of these places.
GB and JP navies both benefit greatly that they are island nations. It makes their governments, Admirals and navies take matters seriously. Britain has naval bases to use everywhere around the world for example. A big tonnage fleet needs naval engineering tradition on design, maintenance, repairs, the military industrial complex, drydocks, allied intelligence, concealment, real experience.
British navy can intercept, begin and support many kinds operations as the fleet isn't sitting in one well known area. They can pop up anywhere... I'm not sure all smaller british ships use their Union Jack -flag either.
India is more stronger when 6 scorpion in full duty.

Several thoughts: 1..In terms of leadership, training, tactics and technology China is untested militarily. The world is not beating down their door for their hardware. 2...Regrettably with the US involved in recent conflicts their hardware is battle tested and proven goods to customers as reflected by the US military sales to other countries.

India have large no. Of petrol vessels because we have responsibility of safety of whole indian ocean trade route due to no bigger or effective navy. There is no competitor of India in Indian Ocean. We have Three unsinkable aircraft carrier (Andman, Nicobar and Lakshdweep) which aren't far away from Malakka straight (1/3 of total trade in the world)
