Prior to the pandemic and the temporary lock downs movie distributors had announced a much shortage exclusive window for movies. Many were premiering in theatres and on streaming services simultaneously or with very limited screenings in traditional theatres. This is independent of government support for small businesses during the lock downs or help recovering.

Carbon tax, inflation is causing price of everything to go up. Canadians can’t afford basic necessities let alone, going out for entertainment. Get things cheaper, and we’ll go out for entertainment.
Things will never get cheap as before. The only hope is wage and salary increase will catch up the inflation, which is not welcomed by the big companies.
