Look at the turn at around 3 minutes crazy understeer if you did that in a alfa Romeo quad you would be going the opposite way

Seems to be an experienced driver and not just some random dude who thinks he knows what he is doing. The driver has very good control of the car even in more difficult situations.
The pilot is unbelievable, so much skills, so relaxed.
But the car ... well ... it need better tires I guess.
Never did understand the word Pilot when talking about driving, last time a looked the car was on the track, not 2 mile in the bloody air.

Im sorry to say this. But the driver isnt that great as people are saying. The car understeers because he just throws the wheel in and causes the car to lose all grip, which is why the tires scream so much. Had he been more gentle on the entries, the car wouldnt suffer and he would go much faster. If you dont believe me, theres a video of a 7:48 min laptime done by a proper racing driver on the A45s on which you can see how it really drives, and there is no tire screaming at all.

Look at the way the entries are done. You should be smoothly turning in the car, then give it the full turn in when on the corner
This car is really well know to understeer like crazy, it doesn't suit very well it's style as well but, when you are at 180kph in a turn, you can be as smotth as you said, you have to don't miss the apex or you are lost, that's why he tried to give the car that rotation it needed so much, 4x4 not really a surprised, even Lamborghini had the same issues

Believe me, driving this car hard is a total different experience!!! You get suck in at the turns. It is almost as the car is driving for you. The outer wheel acting towards the turns. Impressive!!!!!

First: the driver is very sensitive and aware of what he is doing, without a doubt. Second: I noticed that the cars were slipping a lot. I don't know if it's because of the tires or the track. But it's really cool to learn from someone who knows what they're doing.

Or the chassis settings are not that good? Megane RS or Civic Type R seem to handle this course better. RS300 Trophy with the same driver: ruclips.net/video/8ayymVUcNvU/видео.html A touch of understeer but no weird body movements. The Megane has a much more stable front end. It's like the front axle of the A45S is too soft.

Not everyday you get the see a Hot Hatch run down a couple of 911 GT3s, and then pass them, that 45 AMG is a weapon. Also good to see talent can make up for power.

Excellent pilotage ! Par contre ça glisse vraiment beaucoup un peu déçu par la tenue de route de cette A45S
C’est un choix voulu par le constructeur, pour garder le côté « puriste » de la propulsion, malgré la transmission intégrale. Mais il est possible de limiter les glissements de la voiture, via le sélecteur (tout est paramétrable !). N’oublions pas que nous avons à faire à un vrai pilote, qui lui, préférera une voiture plus joueuse. 😊
@@lensoprezole5322 hmmm non je pense qu'il parlait bien de survirage, le type de glisse le plus présent dans la vidéo 😅. Mais en effet le pilote de l'A45 sait très bien ce qu'il fait en bon habitué du Nurb ... et provoque l'auto pour tester ses réactions aux limites... pas (uniquement) pour claquer un chrono :)

fan2lexus je ne pense pas que ce soit un choix du constructeur , sachant que la concurrence sort justement dans ce créneau les voitures les plus joueuses (m2, ttrs et on peut même aller chez Porsche avec la gt4). Ça a l’air d’être une bonne voiture mais il faut avouer que le comportement reste très typé traction et ça manque clairement de charme...
fan2lexus La ça n’a plus rien avoir avec une voiture « joueuse » c’est clairement inefficace au possible ce genre de comportement sur le Nurb. Le châssis est clairement dépassé par le moteur / la puissance et ça ne suit plus du tout. Le pilote arrive à des vitesses très élevées grâce au 400+ chevaux et dès qu’il faut tourner le volant le châssis dit merde 😅

I love AMG but this understeers like crazy and tries to correct it by making it oversteer with torque vectoring. But its a possibility the tires suck.
YNWJ 63 I disagree when you say understeer! The new A45s has a total different behavior. You get sucked in by the turns. It makes you feel comfortable playing with oversteering.

7:31 - frighteningly. I guess A45S will be quicker than M2 CS on Nurburgring, despite M2 is better driving car.
Plus 48sec to Start/finish line. Round 8:41 with traffic. Good Job. Clear Track 8:20 to 8:30 is possible

Chapeau l’artiste 👍 serait-il possible d’avoir la confirmation du nom du pilote essayeur ? On sent bien qu’il maîtrise cette A45s à la limite, ce qui implique de surbraquer en entrée de virage pour déclencher la glisse, et de ne contrebraquer que lorsque l’arrière prends vraiment trop de dérive 👌🏼 certains évoquent un châssis en mousse...je ne vois pas une GT3 qui s’accroche : ça va vraiment très vite 😱 je demande la vidéo du même pilote dans une GT3 : et si il y a une place en passager, je suis client 😉

It seems like the car suffers from its weight as a hothatch. Yes it is definately a fast car, but as a sports car it supposed to be lighter. In every corner it struggles with the weight.
Great skills with that nervous car! You maintain good speed in corners despite the fight with the machine.

Bon Pilote mais très grosse erreur de pilotage à 2:54.il a du se faire une grosse frayeur.et pour les gens qui nous parle de châssis(les pros renault).es ce que la Renault prend feu a 4 ou a 6 min de vidéo mdr?le chassis est très bien c est une 4×4 sa sous vire souvent.y a qu a regarder les Audi rs elles ont toutes ce comportement.oui les chassis Renault sont pas mauvais mais avec 200 ch en moins a faire passer au sol c est beaucoup plus facile.pour moi le pilote n est pas du tous exceptionnel c est un bon conducteur rien de plus.c est la voiture qui fait le boulot la

Super confident and aggressive, but turn-in is too quick generating instant oversteer on corner entry forcing a correction, too much throttle too quickly generates power oversteer on exit. Fun to watch, but it's a crash waiting to happen. In the meantime you're unnecessarily wearing out the tyres. You're driving style would probably suit if it was track prepared i.e. stripped out, racing springs & dampers and slick tyres..

In the carwow review of this car, Matt showed that the car has a trick rear diff that allow the rear and to slide quite easily.
The rear sound like it started screaming before the front end starts to understeer heavily. I mean the understeer is still there, the nose just doesn't react well, and then the special rear diff compensate by losing more traction than the front. It only works most of the time, not all, so the front end IMO is still too dull.
You can see that when he 1:40 tries to step on the power early hoping to a rear wheel drive like oversteer at mid corner. But he just got a truck load of understeer instead, so he had to let off the power and just wait until it is straight again before putting power.
Also, I really don't like the sound of this engine. It sounds just like a Japanese 4 banger. Where is AMG rumble?
The cabin is very quiet though.. Would be a nice daily commute car.

The driver ain't stock.. lmao. This dude is right on the edge of grip at all times through the lap, he frequently enters a corner slightly too fast and too aggressive and the car understeers, loses a bit of energy, then the dude gives it gas to kick the tail out with it's clutches in the back 2 wheels. He's incredibly aggressive and obviously knows the track really well since he's constantly testing the limit.

Au début je me suis dit, tiens, le pilote est un peu optimiste... Mais plus la vidéo avance, plus je me dis bah non, il est juste sacrément bon... C'est cool d'avoir la vitesse en numérique au dash, ça donne une idée de la vitesse de passage en courbe... Psychologiquement, je pensais qu'il était 30kmh en dessous partout... Les courbes a 180 220 😱

Mercedes cool the engine with the AC so no Problem. Engine Temperatures are extremely low because of that
They got that much power by increasing the compressed air inside,which is not damaging with their components...the question is why didnt they use that technology on their V8s

le département AMG m'a toujours impressionné par la puissance des moteurs et le bruit sensationnel, la classe A ne déroge pas à cette règle. Le comportement de la voiture parait facile et typée gt plus que voiture de course. Petit clin d'oeil aux gt3 dépassées sur la piste et merci au pilote.
@@lensoprezole5322 Je suis juste un lecteur et fan de jolies carrosseries; c'est une voiture sure pour la majorité des conducteurs qui ne sont pas des pilotes et n'iront jamais chercher les limites sur routes ouverte... Les autres commentaires tres pertinents sont certainement des professionnels qui essayent et poussent les voitures au dela des limites raisonnables...

why is it that there are basically zero A45 AMG cars on the ring in general? also same with RS3, 5 or whatever Audis except R8, and those also very rarely.
I don't know about why rather few AMGs but Audis, except for maybe the TTRS are better for the Autobahn than on race tracks. Yeah, it sounds cliche, but it still holds some truth to it, looking at the track times. They are said to be fast but less fun also. Fact seems to be, that there are better brands and cars for race tracks than most cars of what Audi offers. I own a Megane 265 Cup and once drove a S3 and the difference is huge.
