Unless Austin Matthews stays healthy he might come close to 850 900 goals and when we sign McDavid in 3 years Matthews will definitely have a good chance to be the leading scorer of all time. I personally think Pavel Bure would of been top 3 all time if he played on a decent team and was healthy but if my aunt had nuts she would be my uncle. Bure was so good and I believe he is top 3 in goals per game but just couldn’t stay healthy!!!

But comparing him to others by cherry picking one stat isn’t fair…to any player. Each of those guys could do things the others couldn’t, different skill sets. It’s hard to argue against the fact that Ovi was an amazing physical talent and could do things no one else could, esp in his first 8-10 years or so. And as he still has one of the most lethal snipe shots ever…amazing power and accuracy. Can’t we all just be grateful that we were able to see such a talent during our time? The man is an all time great.
