@@Sonicfan10193 Honestly, I think he just made the entire thing in a software synthesizer first and then created each video clip to match the sounds afterward. He could basically play back each track individually and create each video clip to match accordingly. It's basically lip singing at that point. That would still require a lot of work, but it's easier than how he makes it seem. The number of takes it would require for this to get this this perfect would astronomical. Plus, having to keep track of where in the timeline each video clip belongs. A software synth would make it a lot easier since you could just listen to what playing in the clip, and you'd know exactly where it belongs. I'm not a youtube creator, but if I was trying to make something like this, that's what I would do. It would also make it possible to get around the thing you said about catching your breath, since if you're only moving your lips to make it seem like you're making the sound, you could easily be breathing through your nose as you're doing that. I could be wrong and maybe he did do all that. He could have used a metronome to keep himself in sync between each sound track or simply synced it through video editing. It just seems like a lot more work doing it that way than using a software synthesizer, recording each sound, and playing them accordingly, and recording the video clips after the music is complete. It also allows you to be more creative like dancing on some of the clips, like he did, which is pretty hilarious. I just don't see how he could do that without listening to the music as he's recording.

Okay so I did some math... there are 20 screens of different A cappella takes in this video and it goes for five minutes so in counting all the takes that are presented in this video it’s 100 minutes of footage not to mention all the other takes that weren’t included in this video. add in maybe up to an hour or a lot more of editing and you have a whole ton of effort for a FIVE MINUTE VIDEO. You deserve so much attention and recognition, thank you for putting in this much effort for us viewers!
I thought its a still image of his background and he'll just add up a clip of him entering with the same background, that makes up the illusion edit: and that makes him adjust the clip so it will sync in with the rest
Well this is a medley so he 'made' this and had to learn when he was going to jump to a different song, which one that would be, his back up voices, and had to learn the lyrics to multiple songs

I joined the Army 1996. I served three tours in Iraq. Lost about 30% of my hearing. Making out words in songs is my greatest loss. Whatever reason I can clearly make out the words you sing. Thank you! This helps me sleep because I can picture your words. I don't know why it's so clear. Maybe it's the mixing. The words are crystal clear. Thank you. I wonder if I am the only one who finds this true?
For those of you who think, "This looks pretty easy to do, I could do the same thing and post it to RUclips." *Think again.* I can't imagine the time it would take to write and musically arrange a piece, not to mention having to stay in tune for hours on end. A lot of people who do covers wear headphones, presumably to hear the music. This beautifully fantastic man wears no such thing as far as I can, which is probably a hell of a time to be on tune. Not to mention the absolute patience to record up to 20 small screens. That's recording *at least* 20 times, each time the full length of the video, assuming he doesn't do more takes in case he hears a mistake. Assuming he edits these videos himself, it's probably even more a hell of a time. 20 different little screens, and he has to make sure they're all in alignment with each other. Not to mention the timing for a head to disappear and for at least two other heads to do so at the same exact second. I'm not jumping down anybody's throats and I haven't seen any bad comments about him, but can you tell me that some of you haven't once thought that you can do this yourself? I mean sure, if you're dedicated to starting a RUclips channel and singing with the drive to follow through with a video even if you don't feel like it, go ahead. Myself? The first time I started listening to him 8 months ago I thought, "huh. I wonder what would happen if I did this myself." It made me sit down and seriously evaluate myself. I have absolutely no video editing skills and my singing is rusty. If I can't find the drive to start even vlogging (not to mention I'm pretty crappy at sticking to things), then was it really my business to think I could do the same thing and be as good as Jared Halley? Absolutely not. Jared, you are a phenomenal singer. It is an absolute pleasure to hear your hard work.

So let me get one thing clear first: I would absolutely love a full cover of literally any Green Day song ever. However, right now, I think we really need a cover of Pollyanna, even though the original like just came out. It is an amazing song and I feel like it's kinda perfect for Jared, especially since it fits with the motivational theme that his original songs have.

I'm not jumping down anybody's throats and I haven't seen any bad comments about him, but can you tell me that some of you haven't once thought that you can do this yourself? I mean sure, if you're dedicated to starting a RUclips channel and singing with the drive to follow through with a video even if you don't feel like it, go ahead.
Myself? The first time I started listening to him 8 months ago I thought, "huh. I wonder what would happen if I did this myself." It made me sit down and seriously evaluate myself. I have absolutely no video editing skills and my singing is rusty. If I can't find the drive to start even vlogging (not to mention I'm pretty crappy at sticking to things), then was it really my business to think I could do the same thing and be as good as Jared Halley? Absolutely not.
Jared, you are a phenomenal singer. It is an absolute pleasure to hear your hard work.
