- This is not a sound demo, just a walk-thru of my 3 pedal boards that I've recently upgraded with Truetone 1Spot Pro CS-6 and CS-7 power bricks. I plan to do 3 separate videos of me playing thru each pedal board in the near future, but for now, this is just a discussion around the Truetone power bricks, where they're mounted on my boards, and my pedals. These power supplies provide more than enough power for all of my boards, they mount easy, and they're quiet. Really diggin' them so far!

Hi buddy! Love this. Quick question: Would you be able to use the 1Spot CS7 with the GPB 2000 mini? How do you mount the power supply under the GPB?
Very informative. I see little activity recently but I am taking a shot asking for which ports you are using to split them so you can power many more than 7 pedals. I am guessing the 500 mA. Hopefully I can get an answer which would be for both CS6 and CS7. Thanks
I'll do individual demos of each pedal board soon so you can hear how each pedal sounds. Wanted to get this out there first so you can see how easily they mount to different types of boards. Thanks for watching! Dan
Hello Stratodan27, i've been using the 1spot daisy chain for a while (wich is great) but more pedals coming to the family so i need more power.
2 Questions:
Which cables are you using to split the signal from the TrueTone CS7? Seems like the only solution so far is Voodoo Lab Output Splitter Adapter
Do you get any noise from splitting cable for 2 or 3 pedals? Im aware of the mA from all my pedals.
Kind regards!
Hey man. So inside the box you get additional adapter cables to split/daisy chain into your pedals. So from only 1 power output jack on the One Spot, I can power up 2 or 3 pedals using a daisy chain cable. So if I'm using a 200 ma output jack, I can power up a few low ma pedals like overdrive pedals that only consume say 10 ma of power each. No issues/noise whatsoever. At least that's my experience. Try to keep the daisy chaining to pedals that only consume a small amount of MA's and you should be good. And also, try to keep the daisy chaining to only 2 or 3 pedals. It's worked well for me. Good luck!
Hi sir.. This 1 spot is great unit? How if do comparing with other power supply like cioks, voodoo lab, and strymon? Mine are hx stomp and more external pedals.
Hi. I wish I could tell you. This is the first "brick" type of power supply I've used. Never tried Voodoo Lab or any of the other ones. So far I've had no issues with these 1 Spot "bricks". No issues with noise or anything else. Very impressed.
On the small pedalboard using the cs6 power supply there are only 6 plugs. Did you have to buy a splitter? Any noise or issues splitting the power?
Hi, so these power supplies come with various connector/adapter cables, daisy chains, etc. so you can power up more than one pedal using only 1 output jack from the power supply. I was surprised how many different types of connector cables they include in the box. You can also buy additional 2 or 3 pedal daisy chain adapter cables from Amazon, etc.
Hi, how you use the 18v output of the CS7? In to 18v pedal or you use a converter to 9v? Thanks, cool video
Hi. I send the 18v power jack to the Barber Gain Changer pedal. The Gain Changer pedal can take 9v or 18v and it sounds fuller with more clean headroom at 18v. I tried the 18v going to my Suhr Eclipse pedal, but the distortion didn't sound as good at 18v for that pedal, so went back to the 9v. Thanks man!
@@stratodan2745 thanks!
Hi Mr. Do you know if I can run Boss 500 and 200 Series with the CS7 Pro? Thanks in advance!
Yes most definitely you can.
@@therangersinger Thanks man. I really don't know. You just have to find out the MA draw on each pedal. I would think if you're under the MA output for the jack you're coming out of on the power supply, you should be fine.
Do you use splitters or daisy chsims for the board with the cs7? Cause I see too many pedals for 7 outputs
In the Truetone box they provide you with some daisy chain adapter cables/plugs, so that's what I used. Also bought a few extra 2 jack daisy chains and 3 jack daisy chains online in case I wanted to switch things around a bit down the line. I tried to limit the 3 jack daisy chaining to a minimum and used extremely low mA draw pedals for those (E.g. I would daisy chain some of the overdrive pedals like the Boss SD-1, Timmy, etc. which consume between 5-15 mA each). So even when you add up all the mA's those pedals would draw if they were on at the same time, I'd still be nowhere near the 200 mA being sent from the power supply. For the pedals that consume much more power like the Ditto (100 mA) or the PolyTune (100 mA), I would try to put them on their own isolated power supply connection. So on my boards, some pedals get their own isolated connection, and some are shared by daisy chaining with the least amount of daisy chain connections possible.
@@stratodan2745 thanks a lot, very useful, great pedalboards you have there
Hi Dan, are you still using the jdx direct drive?
Hi Juan. Yes I'm still using the jdx dd. I mostly use it for recording at home where I plug my pedal board into the jdx and then an xlr from the jdx into my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 computer interface (just as I did in my video). I also always throw it in my gig bag as a backup for live gigging (if we ever get back to gigging once bars and restaurants open back up). Who knows maybe some day I'll ditch my amp completely for gigging and just always use the jdx dd to go direct to the pa system.
Stratodan27 thanks Dan!
