Hey Brucie. Love the channel. I am a recent subscriber who has come to you after searching MS3 vs Helix. And that is my question. At the moment I can afford to get 1 of the multi fx units, so I am wondering which to go with, the ms3, the helix effects or indeed the hx stomp, I am happy with my amp sound so don’t really need modelling, I would like to use a couple of my standard stomp boxes as well. I would value your opinion. If you had the choice of 1 unit only to use live with an amp/cab what would it be. Also where did you get those switch covers from that you have on the ms3 they look great. Best regards Jeff

I'd ask you a couple of additional questions which might be able to make a better judgement... 1) How many effects do you think you would use concurrently? 2) How many of your additional effects would you like to use concurrently in a patch? 3) Do you think you might ever want to gig without and amp in the future? No worries, thanks for watching. No idea on a brand, I literally have 100s of IEC cables from all the years I have been doing this, it was the closest one at the time (with a right angled end).
I'm considering replacing my Fuel Tank Junior as well, since I just got the HX Stomp. I'll probably sell my old one and get this, looks like a great slim option.
The FTJ is a great power supply. I still have mine in the studio. But the Truetone works flawlessly with the stomp, and because it has more outputs, I now have gone to having more pedals on the board (ooops! new video coming soon) just because I can! All the best, Neil
@@NeilSpencerBruce Yeah, FTJ has been absolutely amazing in powering my distortions, overdrives, delays, chorus, wahs or whatever I've thrown at it, with no noise whatsoever. Definitely wouldn't replace it if it weren't for the HX Stomp. Looking forward to an update on your setup!
Is that a palmer/harley-benton pedalboard? How did you stick the CS6, with velcro or what? Also, you feed the line6 G30 with one of the two 500mA outlets? Thanks.
Hi there, yes it is the Palmer/HB one and it is great. I stuck it with some strong velcro and it has been fine. Yes it is just powered from one of the free sockets, no problem. All the best, Neil
I know the video is kinda shot a little upside down and sideways, ha ha. But I wonder why he mounted it upside down. You can see the three mounting screws right there. I guess it really wouldn’t matter, but now the dip switches for the voltages are not accessible. Even though they can probably be accessed between the rails as well. Hmmm.
IDK if you're still using this setup, but you shouldn't have Y channel two outputs with a 1Spot. The current will change to meet demand. It's unique to 1Spot power supplies as far as I know. As long as your current isn't above max output, you should be fine, which with the CS6 is 1600mA total. So you can likely free up at least 1 output. The ratings are placed there, according to TrueTone, due to regulations, but they can far exceed what is written.
I'm still powering my HX Stomp with one output and no issues. The MS-3 is running off one output also. Did you see any problems when you tried just using one output? :)
@@NeilSpencerBruce The reason I was confused, was because you state in the video that you were using a current doubler for the HX and the MS3, so I thought you went back to 2 outlets from the power supply. :)

You can access the dip switches from above. It is mounted with velcro as I move boards often.

Hi sir.. This 1 spot is great unit? How if do comparing with other power supply like cioks, voodoo lab, and strymon?
I think it is great, I have had no problems at all with it. I think the Strymon are too expensive. I am happy with this!
