I spent the day with my 93 yr old mother. She was more of a father to me and my brother and sister than our father ever was and we owe everything to her for making us the stand-up adults we became.

words well said. My dad was the Mr. Rogers type,he would be happy reading about ancient Tibet. No hate on him,he did the best he knew how. taught me how to run a metal lathe-that reminds me-I need a bigger one!
Happy Father’s Day to you, child or not. My daughter now lives in Texas while we’re still in NYC. Even so, we’re still close. My dad was great. He died in 1998 at the age of 89. I still miss him and my mom.
Whether it be circumstance, life choice, or whatever, some folks don't end up having kids. I was fortunate and I cherish each moment I have with my kids. There is no doubt it can be frustrating as hell at times but when you sum it all up it's pretty amazing. I think there is little question that you would have been a most excellent father. Moreover, if we ever got our priorities straight, your vocation would be that of a teacher and you would make enough money that it was of no concern whatever to you. You're easy going attitude, willingness to address any question from all levels of welding enthusiast or professionals, and, most especially, your passion for doing the research and finding out if what x, y, or z says really stands up in the real world is a level of critical thinking that we should all aspire too! So, on this fathers day, I say hat's off to Greg for the million plus "kids" he has been mentoring with his welding and other knowledge!! 🙂
