Never flown this short hop..I live in Vancouver,and usually catch a flight from Seattle or Bellingham Wa....I love the drive from Canada to Seattle too much, stop and get some coffee and eat at tulalip casino resort..Buffett and off to my flight at sea tac

Because Seattle is Alaska Airlines hub so they feed passengers into Seattle who then connect to other flights to other destinations, very few people are just flying between the 2 city's the vast majority are connecting in Seattle to other destinations. Same reason Delta fly's the route. Air Canada in reverse, they bring people from Seattle to YVR to connect to other AC flights and vice versa.
