  • This is a capillary hoop stove which is made from a normal spray can and a redbull can, it differs slightly from tetkoba's design. This stove has a tougher outer can and can be adjusted for a small simmer flame.

Very nice. Addresses my concerns about the durability of the normal CHS build.

    Yes, perhaps your right!
I was just thinking if your simmer ring has maybe four small holes,
It would allow for a little air keeping the flame hot even in the wind.
The simmer ring is brilliant, I commend you!
Recently I have made my stoves from the outer ring top burning to the tornado stove and Im getting some great results out in the field.
Now thats I too have a tornado I need to make a simmer ring!
    Thank you!

Thanks for your comments, I will try a few holes in the cap of the stove to see if any different, but I think if the holes are not large enough to let a flame to ignite in the bath tub there will not be any difference in the flame since the thermal feedback will be the same. As for out on the trial wind is always a threat for an alcohol stove and they will work best inside the tent.

    Brilliant work my friend.
The spring preloaded locking legs is fantastic!
Using the spray can makes for a very robust stove, good job!
I like the simmer ring, thats perfect for when your out on the trial, have you tried putting 2-3 holes in the middle of the simmer ring just to see if has any differences?
Just I think out on the trial with the simmer ring and wind might be difficult?
    However Brilliant stove!
    BoilOn!
