I can see how this would make the sandpaper last longer as well. When I fold it in half, the paper tends to rip along the crease. Will definitely be trying this next time

This is one of little things that makes a huge difference when building things. I wish I knew who to credit this to, but I have been doin it this way for as long as I can remember. Now all you need is something to build so you can try it out. Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting.

I’ll give this a shot. Several years ago someone showed me how to fold quarter sheet of paper into 4ths so it could be gripped easily and not have grit against grit shortening the life of the paper. I like the size of this method better for some situations. Thanks Todd!

I was not sure about mentioning the 1/4 sheet method. Similar idea. But I think this is quicker and does not force you to rip the sandpaper. Hope it is helpful. Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting.

Sometimes the simple things can make such a huge difference. I have noticed they now have sandpaper sheets at the big box store that have a thin rubbery back that accomplishes the same thing. But costs more. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I like to fold it square and CA glue both leafs together it makes a nice sold card for sanding. Card sander I call them.

Yes. This is not so much about the type of sandpaper, but rather a method to fold and hold sandpaper so that it does not slip around so much when you are sanding.
