I still recieve them from time to time from brands, but I always feel guilty using them. I'm way more concious of my weekly trash since starting to compost in the last year or two. It's inconvinient and expensive, like.. why?! lol
I have the anastasia beverly hills sun dipped glow kit, only 2 shades matches my skin tone and I use the deeper shades as eyeshadow, and they performs so much nicer than shimmery eyeshadows
That's a really good tip! I love using bronzers and blushes as transition shades in the crease or all over shadow. They are easier to work with. It really puts things into perspective!
This was a brilliant content video! One more comment about makeup remover sheets; they have to include chemicals to prevent mold. Yep, mold like warm, damp places. Eeeuuw! It drives me crazy that makeup is so expensive when there hasn’t been an increase in pigment. Also, fragrance has also increased in price over the last few years.
I'm not surprised they have preservatives. They come in a bag that keeps them moist for immediate use. That alone sounds gross. I recently received the new biodegradable ones from Bioderma. I appreciate the effort at least.
Yes yes yes! I’m not much of a makeup person but I’m a multitasker kind of person. So yes to the lipstick as blush or even eyeshadow if it’s a good shade. Yes to eyeshadow as eyeliner. Yes to eliminating single use plastic masks and cotton pads.
Absolutely, I've really cut down on single use products in my makeup stash because it's really not that hard to do and it makes a difference. Also, it saves a bit 💸👐
Love your tips, we sometimes fall into the trap of thinking we need to have specific products for specific tasks but I have learned to multi task my products and it has saved me a lot of money. I do use eyeshadow as eyeliner, I only buy neutral lip liners( they go with any lip color ), I use hair gel to comb my eyebrows and set them, ABH got too expensive for me. And thanks to people like you I keep finding other ways to save and multi task what I already own. Thank you
Thanks a lot for the comment. I never got into ABH brow brow stuff, I only bought one of their eyebrow crushes which I honestly never use. My mom's broke - to be fair, she's got thin brows and does them everyday. Being resourceful goes a long way and why spend more when you get the same results and now one can tell!?
Great video we makeup shopaholic need these reminders now and again. I don’t buy concealers anymore as it makes my under eye look so dry and forms wrinkles that I never had. So I just use foundation under eye too.
Do you have dry skin? I feel that if I'm not careful to use concealer sparingly, it does exactly that to me too! I skip it a lot these days. Truthfully, the handful of times I've purchased makeup in the last 2 years have been the Wet N Wild fundation and the new L'Oreal and CoverGirl concealers that look like dupes for shape tape (only because I wanted to review them). Other than that, I recieve some pr, but much less than I did years ago and I couldn't be happier about it. Too much is too much.
@@elma_gnt Yes! Cheek palettes are 10x more likely to have colors that don't work if you are medium to deep! I have a blush palette that has a blue toned bubble gum light pink. I can only wear it in the dead of winter IF I mix it with something else and I'm definitely not deep. It's pretty much a shade that's exclusively flattering on white people. I can't even imagine what it's like... I used to be really into eyeliners, now I just can't look at that section. It doesn't take a lot of space but I easily have 100. I don't even know that to do with it. Most of it is PR now, but I had a serious problem buying them in the past.
I love your video ;) I wish I saw videos like this years ago I would have save a lot of money. I guess is never too late. The older I get the more careful I am spending my money. We work so hard to make and its so easy to spend it. Thanks for your tips ♥
I love my Mac persistence lipstick, but I don't like matte formulas as much as before so I often use a lipbalm on top or a lipgloss and it makes a really nice lip combination

Yup I've stopped using sheet masks too. Bad for the environment plus its more expensive anyway.

Thanks Danielle 😛💸☺️
Love the red lip
Thank you! It's from CoverGirl 😋 I filmed this right after preparing a CoverGirl swatch video
Love this video!! Great tips! I haven't purchased blotting paper in years because I usually use tissue paper too hehe
Thanks, Nazra! That and... I like dewy skin now, especially in the winter when it's minus life outside 😭😂

This video spoke to me so much 😅 I'm happy to say that lip liners, sheet masks and the likes are no more part of my buys!
...and contour kits and the blush/highlighter kits. Especially the one from hourglass... It's so not brown skin friendly

Sammmmeee thanks so much. I really wish my 20s weren't so spendy

👐 Mixing lip products is a lot of fun. I'd do that a lot with lipliners and lipbalms. Thanks for the comments 😘
