Tom Hanks hamming into the camera and shouting ¿PREGUNTAS? gives me life.
Once you saw Hanks in the earlier sketch, you KNEW it was coming -- having Bobby there too was great. Loved it.
But there have been times where a cast member or favorite host has returned and doesn't do their most popular character, like when Christopher Walken hosted in season 33, there was no Continental sketch. Or when Dan Aykroyd came back to host in season 28, he didn't do any of his characters (there was supposed to be a sketch featuring his one-time character, Fred Garvin: Male Prostitute, but that got cut after dress rehearsal). My point is: it's a 50-50 toss-up on whether or not a cast member or favorite host is going to reprise s popular character they did. Be happy that Lorne decided to do it for Tom Hanks.

Essentially identical sketch as 6 yrs ago and still perfection. Kenan and his smirk (in almost every sketch) is as necessary as Mikey, Bobby, and Tom. I missed this last night since I can't stay awake, but to discover this tonight brought a big smile.

Not to diminish this at all... but three are lots of trios more legendary since this is the first time I've ever even heard of David Pumpkins and it's a 6-year old thing! I went and watched the first one. I like this one better, actually.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but Michael Longfellow is the guy playing the 2017 "IT" clown and James Austin Johnson is the guy playing Freddy Krueger, proving once again that SNL's hair, makeup, and costume people are the unsung heroes of this show.
Yep, I spotted both of Them as well. Also, this just goes to prove how fast-paced the SNL* Wardrobe Department has to be in Their jobs to get Everyone ready for the next upcoming sketch. No doubt Michael Longfellow had to have His Makeup quickly removed after He briefly showed up as 'Pennywise', the Clown from the Horror Movie 'It'.
I just did a dress up party at work on Friday and my friends and i did David S Pumpkins and the two B-Boy skeletons. Most people didn't get it so we introduced a whole new wave of people to this glorious Halloween legend, and it seems it was just in time to become slightly more culturally relevant then we expected!! Haha

I have a David S Pumpkins suit. About one in ten gets it.
The first time i watched the original one was a few days after it came out when someone showed it to me saying they didn't get why it was funny and like other people were either immediately on board or didn't get it/hated it. So we watched it and i was like helplessly crying with laughter
No one got it because nobody has watched SNL since Will Ferrell left back in 2004.
Someone at work dressed up as him a year or two ago (sadly no skeletons) and that's how I got introduced. 😂
David S Pumpkin is truly the king of Halloween, thanks SNL for bringing him back!

When I first watched this live, I cheered so hard! By the way, I love Tom’s enthusiasm in this one. And this timing could not have been more perfect. I’m dressing as David Pumpkins again this year like I did a couple years ago.

At first he didn't even want to do it! He thought it was bizarre and maybe Chris Hemsworth (the weeks host) should do it instead. After being convinced to do it he ended up cutting a bunch of dialogue which ultimately was probably for the best.

Even though I’ve seen David pumpkins og sketch a million times this one genuinely had me laughing way too much. I also feel like an idiot because of course they were going to do a David pumpkins sketch. I LITERALLY just came from a Halloween party.... and arguably, the most loved and talked about costume of the night were of these two guys and a woman dressed as DAVID S. PUMPKIN AND HIS CREW OF SKELETONS (the girl dressed as David P - the guys dressed as the skellys)
