Too bad it wasn't real. If you disbelieve and want to argue, I ask you only: first rewatch, for real. Moynihan didn't goof; quite the opposite. He's a *good actor*.
Wow, didn’t realize how much I missed Bobby until now. When he called Colin Seth I had to pause the video because I laughed so hard and didn’t want to miss the rest lol
I assumed it was either scripted or a great improv’d line I felt like it was too perfect/part of the characterization to do by mistake and not miss a beat but if so even more pro level 😩❤️
the conflation of the 1980s mcdonald's "hopscotch" commercial with "we didn't start the fire" was both hilarious and brilliant, and so perfect for a gen-x drunk uncle.😂😂😂
"All Hallows' Steve" deserved a bigger laugh. Drunk Uncle is such a chaotically brilliant bit. I wish more of it were a two-shot so we could see Colin's reactions.
The masterful way that SNL out of nowhere had Tom Hanks introduce the musical guest, only for in the next segment had Bobby Moynihan pop up as his Drunk Uncle character on Weekend Update was such a wink to the fans foreshadowing that there was about to be the return of David S. Pumpkins in this episode. So well done!
The Return of the Drunk Uncle made my night. "When I was a kid we were shoeshine chimney sweeps extra extra paper boys." Having Tom Hanks on as David S Pumpkins was a nice surprise, too.
I literally could watch just Bobby and Collin. He totally killed it with this drunk uncle sketch! I do wonder though if he called Collin “Seth” on purpose or just a hilarious accident.
When both Tom Hanks and Bobby Moynihan appeared in separate sketches, social media immediately began speculating the return of David S. Pumpkins. They were not disappointed.
How did they have Bobby and Cecily back on the same episode and miss the opportunity for the ultimate pairing between Drunk Uncle and Girl You Wish You Hadn't Started a Conversation With at a Party?
I could see it being tough to replicate. It must be tricky to find the right balance between drunk ramblings and actual pop culture references that are usually slightly incorrect lol.
Lorne called in some heavy hitters. Moynihan had me rolling laughing on this one. The entire rant was perfect, but when he woke up talking about Jan 6th. I lost it 😆🤣
Some of my all time favorite sketches are the Holiday Candy ones(Easter w Michael Keaton is the best) with Bobby. They are so stupidly silly. 😊 Oh, and of course the kitty on Mars sketch. Basically I miss Bobby so much. And Drunk Uncle 😅
Dude called Collin "Seth" HAHAHA You know Myers is gonna love that!
This will definitely come up in the next Corrections
I laughed out loud to nobody over that!
The way I completely missed that and was just as confused as drunk uncle as to why they were laughing more lol
@@louisjones2653 a jackal should correct Bobby via Seth’s comments section when he comes back eventually 😩 this break is killing me
Too bad it wasn't real. If you disbelieve and want to argue, I ask you only: first rewatch, for real. Moynihan didn't goof; quite the opposite. He's a *good actor*.
Bobby Moynihan is a star that deserves so much credit for his SNL tenure. One of a kind performer. Hope he gets hosting duties in the future!
Please tell me he's back as an SNL cast member! 🙏
Literally had this thought last night… he plays the straight man as well as the lead.
This reminded me of why I miss him so much on SNL. He did not disappoint in this sketch. I laughed until I had tears.
I ship this. I wish I was around when he was a cast member. I was just a tiny little Jared back then.
Bobby Moynihan hosting SNL !! YES
"NOT MY MARIO!" 💀 loving the cameos tonight!
So much shade 🤣🤣🤣
I laughed so hard - the way he said it!
Chris Pratt is #NotmyMario Either!
Good thing this came out in 2022 because the Kevin Afghani jokes write themselves😅
This was a such pleasant surprise. Now we just have to get Bobby to host.
Next season should have all alum hosting.
That's a great idea, both of them
agreed! I miss him
Seems like the first three shows of this season were hurting for hosts no?
Right, like when the devil came back. I damn near lost my shit both times 🤣🤣🤣
The genuine surprise on Colin’s face when Bobby grabbed his lapel is my favorite moment. But really, this whole thing is just the best.
Anthony Crispino also grabbed Colin violently lol
@@shc3754 Who?

He called Colin Seth and didn’t know what he said 😂 So wholesome that he just slips back into that time
This moment!
I couldn't tell if that was scripted or not. Weird that they didn't even pan out to Colin's reaction there.
I was wondering what he said... he said so many things that were off that I missed it.
@@svscared I don't think it was. It was a slip and it became instantly more hiliarous for it

I though for sure he was gonna break into the Big Mac song!
That was 24 karat, PURE GOLD!
I haven’t heard someone sing that song since… the 80s maybe?
That part killed me. As you said, hilarious and brilliant. Love Bobby Moynihan.
Nailed it!
The "excuse me, quit" is so funny to me. I love you drunk uncle.

So glad they brought Bobby back for Drunk Uncle!! One of the most underrated characters on the show, each one over the years is a classic, pure genius
I wish it was twice as long!
We need more Bobby
They brought him back for David Pumpkins and said, "While you are here, how about some Drunk Uncle?"
The huge applause break he received was so sweet. So great to see him back.

When he called Collin "Seth" I died. I just heard Bobby say on the Dana Carvey/David Spade podcast it was an accident! Made it even funnier to me! ❤
So good to see Bobby. The way he never breaks character always amazes me. Love how "Seth" is cracking up.
What a delight to see Bobby back. I don't know how many times a surprise on this show has been so wonderful. I hope he can host too.
Bobby hack 😂
Amazing! The McDonalds' 80s commercial leading into "We Didn't Start the Fire" was the best! Two songs that replay in my head to this day!
When he does quiet quitting I'm in tears 😹
They really brought everyone back this episode 🔥👏👏
He was so in character he called Colin Seth and didn’t miss a beat. Like he never left
"All Hallows' Steve" deserved a bigger laugh. Drunk Uncle is such a chaotically brilliant bit. I wish more of it were a two-shot so we could see Colin's reactions.
I never get tired of Drunk Uncle. So happy they brought Bobby back. Hope we get at least one appearance a year.
When he called Colin "Seth". I love when he freestyles.

The calling him ‘Seth’ and “what did I do?” Confused look is such a drunkle move. It’s effortless now😂

I'm thinking about how many millennials have no idea what he was talking about
this is like an early Christmas present and I have greatly missed drunk uncle! so good to see you on here again Bobby! more drunk uncle!
It's awesome to see Bobby on SNL again. Next we need a reunion with him and Dwayne The Rock Johnson on SNL.
Yes! Loved that WM skit.
Please, God, NO! Dwayne is everywhere nowadays and like Kevin Hart, he isn't funny...or interesting.

They were not disappointed.
Bobby casually calling Collin "Seth" was great
OMG. Bobby is so great. I am going to be replaying this skit many times because I'm sure I didn't absorb everything.
OMG I'm "Drunk Uncle" age. I knew that McDonald's jingle word for word when he started singing it LOL. The 80's were wild if you were born in 1980.
Omg I have tears running down my face
That was a hell of a thing, one of the top moments of the season this early
“Not my Mario”….😂😂😂Bobby’s a legend💪🏾💯
We want Bobby back full time!!!
the best and worst thing about Drunk Uncle is that there isn't more of it
If only we had someone to give us an insight in to the New York club scene this halloween
I just love Drunk Uncle. Bobby is amazing👏👏👏

Bobby brought the heat. Too good.
I missed drunk uncle so dang much! Thanks Bobby for coming back for this one!

Classic sketch! I used it as a project to try and write a version based on the formula a year ago and while I failed, it was so fun!
It sounds fun! Wish it worked out for you.

Very few comedic characters encapsulate the tensional forces in our current society. So glad to see him back.
