My dad had a Crown Royal Saloon in the late 80s-90s...he also had a new Benz at the same time which was always at the shop for fuel problems associated with the Bosh system along with other glitches. The Crown on the other hand would only go for scheduled services no issues whatsoever even till the day he sold it.Toyota quality and reliability is real..and it also had a 'fridge' !!
I have the exact same car. A 1994 Toyota Crown Royal Saloon. It also has a personal cassette player in the back. The problem is once the airbags go out in this car. Especially the 1994 model G. It's a fantastic car. Looks wise drive wise. But it's costing me 5000$ dollars to replace the suspension, and that's just to standard shocks and struts, if i wanted airbags Toyoto told me it would be over 6000$ NZD, and if i wanted after market air bags, 8,000k and that's not including certification. It's a dream, and it's a nightmare. :)
5,000k minimum, not including cert, cert will be like 1.000 ish. Problem is the only shocks and struts suitible for this car are from a Supra body, the entire Toyota Supra suspension and shocks setup, it needs the lot, And if you know how much Supra's cost. Well. then yeah. lol
This has to be one of my favourite new interiours. Touch where you need it but also many buttons where they make more sense. Also, long live the analog speedometer

It's odd to see how the Crown has come along. I have a 206 Majesta with the 255kw V8. It's basically a small limousine with so many little touches that they're impossible to list. 5 metres long and the back seats are definitely where you want to be. These Crowns feel more like a Camry than a luxury sedan.
