A wise man once said “don’t let other people’s problems become yours”. Easier said than done. Great video, good to see it happens to all of us and probably good for customers to see an honest account of what goes on. Keep it up.

Should write a self-help book for self employed tradesmen. Like what most comments say below your work ethic and enthusiasm is infectious.
I'm a self employed painter and decorator and give in on private jobs as it was sheer madness , not saying site work isn't but that's the contract manager's problems 90% of time.
Keep them videos coming and hope you and family have a good one this Xmas and New year.

Brilliant informative video Kirk, a superb idea for the customers to see what we're up against! An idea for protecting brickwork; tape to mask off then knife it once the plaster's dry. I'm a decorator and have to do that a lot, especially with high-end carpentry where I'm finishing right up to waxed timber or other sensitive surfaces in tight spaces. I'm loving the channel buddy! 👍🏼

Me mum and dad had their garage rendered in the winter a few years ago and it started crumbling and falling off in the summer. I don't live with them so I have no idea who the plasterer was but fair play to him he went back and fixed it at his own cost. Professional pride innit.

The only problem is when I’m in college all the other lads struggle to figure out my system back at the job and are ringing me up asking where stuff is😬😂

Kirk hello am not sure of your age ,have you d😊one much traditional lime and hair plastering, I have one more year to retirement after 45 yrs plastering first 30 yrs on sites that's why both my shoulders are knackered. The last 15 lime plastering much easier on you physically lots of waiting for it to finish and pays good money Only saying this as you might want to do it later in life to make it easier on your body .we all eventually wear up part of the job. Thanks alot love watching your vids brings back good memories. Adrian.

I do only outdoor stucco and cement restoration. And for the reasons you brought up, I've never figured out how to keep a schedule more then this week and some of next. So for years now with 30+ jobs at all times, I just keep a list like you mentioned... Also like you said I work 5 days a week but mainly schedule 4 days and fill in something small as needed (usually start booking Tues in case I need Mon to finish up something). Your spot on! Hearing it from you was refreshing so I thought I'd share too.

Love the enthusiasm and it's great viewing as I laboured for my pal for years and took everything in. I would look at the wall or ceiling and gauge it close to exact everytime and he threw me in the deep end and gave me the 3rd floor of a townhouse. He said to me that he couldn't have done better himself. Great teacher and young Nathan seems to be keen. Bless you and your family this holiday season. Keep the enthusiasm and good luck with your busy future.

Always buy the Refina paddles for Dewalt mixer. Think do best paddles. 200mm paddle. 🤙 did try refina adapter for easy taking paddle on and off but it takes a lot power out the dewalt paddle. Hoping dewalt can make a new improved cordless with a bit more juice in it mixing the renders and sand cement etc.
