I realize this comment is late. However I've been a fan of these cars for a few years. The detail on them is second to none. Yes you pay for it, but in many many cases it's so worth it. These cars are truly works of art. I do wish however they'd expand their licenses to include more classic or American cars. They took older "grocery getters" and made them into incredible castings that are must haves. My collection only has about 35+ cars but I love em all! My two top choices are a Mazda RX-7 and a Nissan Skyline both came in the bigger boxes, packed very well, and look amazing! The interiors are sick! So perfectly detailed!
I like how they included cars from Germany like the 328 BMW, Audi police car, 911 S, and 190E and then it was worth it because they tried something different.
That's an impressive collection you've got. But i don't believe that is all you've got for the tlvn line. Anyway that last piece is stunning! Keep the videos coming in!
Question, i collect so far only 1:43 scale models (well i dont have many at least seven or so) is 1:64 scale good and worth to collect, or should i stay with 1:43?
Zagoreni02A it’s really subjective. Just collect what we like. Most 1/64 collectors usually start off with Diecast like hot wheels or Tomica unlike model car collector who goes for bigger scale. I have pals who collect 1/64 too who has also has larger scale collection
@@HotKustoms I ask becasue i dont really know how good 1:64 models are, quality, details?, i like 1:43 models, i dont have space for larger scales, so i collect smaller, is it good collecting 1:64 together with 1:43,
Zagoreni02A that’s up to u of course the bigger the better the details. Most 1/43 are made of resin as well but only a handful of 1/64 is resin the rest are Diecast. It’s entirely up to u.
1:64 is a much more liquid market, easier to get in and out. contrary to 1:43 and 1:18 where you are stuck with them and need to sell at a discount to get rid of them. TLV (at least the Euro castings I have from them) have gained value over the years, I have doubled the value on the F40 and tripled on the 911s
Watching this at work makes me wish that I could go home early so I could admire my TLV collection. Also, I spot some cars with paint rashes on the side. Really cementing the fact that Southeast Asia's humidity is an enemy to TLV.
@@HotKustoms I saw that video. Since then, I wrapped all my regular Tomicas and Tomica Premiums in tea filter bags to prevent paint rash. As for TLV, one of my friend told me that displaying it in wooden display case makes it easier to develop rash and oil develop on the tire as wood attracts moisture and make the surroundings inside the case damp. Since then, I replace my wood display cabinet with acrylic one (which attracts less moisture) with sliding doors to prevent dusts from collecting on my cars. Also, I would like to know if the wheels on some of your models develop grease as well or not because some of my older release models are.
Bundi R. It’s v subjective majority due to weather and my Guess the paint itself. Rashes for mine usually happens with flat color castings. I have display quite a several in Tomica acrylic cases still it get rashes. My best bet is keeping them in tea bags. Not sure for grease but rubber wheels for some will get sticky over time and I can’t help that for my own collection
Which is your fave TLV casting?
probably evo 4
EK9
Mazda RX7 FD, the Lan Evos, and Honda Civic EK9
Pajero
civic with carbon fiber hood
Tomica Limited Vintage is awesome! For me, these are the REAL japanese cars, and the miniatures have incredible details for this scale!
RoMadCars yes! Thanks!!
