I have a two-day tournament up there next month(No Kayak). What colors do you suggest I should throw? I've heard that the colors red, Blk & Blu Flk, Blk & Red Flk work there as well as Grn Pumpkin. I've never fished the Delta so my inquiring mind wants to know. I see that you're using a Strike King lure. I have tons of their Rage Craws so I should be in the game. Right?

Yo chill with the hook set these are 2 lb fish not 40 lb fish
Watch any fisherman that fishes a flipping setup and you'll see the same hooksets. We don't use 50+ pound line and heavy rods to feebly swing the rod back. Not to mention those tules are tough and if you let the fish swim at all and wrap you up, you're done. Every hookset was to get the fish out of that thick cover as fast as possible.

Thanks man! It was a tight race between top 5 separated by 3 inches. 1 big fish is all i needed (and others needed) but definitely a tough day for everyone in catching those 20+ inch fish. I think maybe only 2 fish over 20 inches were caught of 82 guys.
