Love this. I was in my early thirties when Monstervision was on. My wife and I had just moved into our first house. My ritual was me in my recliner in the basement with a cooler full of Miller Lite and plenty of snacks and Monstervision coming on. Those were great times.
Thanks for these uploads. I loved the mid-late 90’s. Half this stuff would not fly today. Joe Bob is the man. I came here after watching his newer stuff on Shudder.
I'm from the UK and didn't have any satellite channels back in the day...just randomly clicked on this...what I have I been missing?! This guys hilarious! :D Love his persona... kind of reminds me of Al Murray the pub landlord...who is a comic here who adopts this sort of working class typical tabloid persona...but then proceeds to undermine it totally and throws in all sorts of intellectual references. Love it...was supposed to be working but I reckon Joe Bob will be on big time now boy!.
BelatedCommiseration. Me and the wife watched this most every week unless we were at the movies. It was hilarious. Nowadays TNT is just like every other channel
I remember he used to be on The Movie Channel and Showtime for a while back in the 80s and 90s. I think I was probably six when I first started watching him (too young, but nobody cared. Lol)
I LOVE that this was the episode the week before the Halloween Dusk to Dawn Friday the 13th Marathon I have on DVD:):) I remember first watching this and catching the promo at 15:00 to 15:30!!
Ha ha, his rant about new parents at the beginning is spot on. I'm at the age where my friends are all starting to have kids and it's like they get replaced by pod people.
Watching monster vision was how I spent my Saturday nights. I had a slight crush on Joe bob Briggs. I ❤ his snarkness , campiness, & bold one liners. Now I appreciate the fact monster vision was politically incorrect. I ❤ that. I don't what happened? People are so uptight now.
Lethal desert food. Joe bob is referring to one of my favorite horror movies The Stuff from 1985. A fun movie about white marshmallow fluff like stuff that mysteriously pools up out of the ground. When a company discovers that it is sweet and delicious they start selling it.
Nothing asshole-Ish about liking that shirt or the man wearing it. It’s the top half of a Texas tuxedo with the symbol of rebellious freedom on each breast. It’s a badass shirt for a badass dude.
The SOUTH PARK episode "Cartman Joins NAMBLA" had a sub-plot involving Kenny's parents expecting a new child. There's a dream sequence by Kenny featuring the child coming out It's Alive style
I say he's got to be Norm MacDonald's cousin. The voice and how they look are close enough for me to think 2nd or 3rd cousins. He's like the American Norm MacDonald.
Notice that Joe Bob Briggs, is an exactly the same as Woody on toy story? I think the artist for toy story liked watching Joe Bob Briggs like me ;) I miss watching him on shows, and Elvira......bring em back lol made movies so much better to watch, get all excited to watch the movies the whole family would gather to watch his movies. Yep yep
Was just thinking the same thing. It's like a totally different reality rather than just a difference of decades. If you said that now, casually or not, your career would be over immediately. Instead it's just like "eh whatever, it's the movie's title". Was a more reasonable era
Lol you can't get away with being white and dropping a hard N bomb like that even if you are quoting or making a reference. Definitely made my ears perk up haha.
There's no one I would trust more to babysit my child than Uncle Joe Bob
😂😂😂😂😂

Always tuned in. This and USA up all night. Born in 85

Woke and cancel culture ruined everything

Just his shirt wouldn't fly today. Joe Bob is awesome!

lol I love how specific his stories are.
one of the best storytellers.
Super specific. I love that too.
Ha ha, his rant about new parents at the beginning is spot on. I'm at the age where my friends are all starting to have kids and it's like they get replaced by pod people.
It’s all true. I have kids and yeah, once that happens, joining the pod people starts to seem pretty damn good.
lol, Joe Bob's rant about his friends having kids is awesome
this was my childhood and growing up in Atlanta made it even more special
Ian McAfee - thanks for posting these - I missed them when they aired, glad you've preserved them! Awesome sauce!
I remember watching this when it aired. I just watched both movies tonight, and am so glad that you uploaded this video.

I miss this shows so much!! Thanks for the upload. This show is the reason why i love horror films.

CrypticColors Makeup the lead character is one of my top 3 favorite anti-heroes in cinema
@9:11 - Quisp cereal in the back. That's hardcore.
Sweet nostalgia.
Paturtiny talk from Joe Bob Briggs !! Thanks for the the upload !!
I love Joe bobs rudimentary early 90s understanding of the internet lol.
This was late 90s but yeah. 😂
Not even trying to be asshole about it, but I do love Joe Bob
s Confederate flag shirt. So sick man. God I miss this guy.

What do you even mean. Also he is still around. The Last Drive-in is the main reason people have Shudder.
Good lord he was a snack in his hey-day! 😋
Needs to put this show in a box set and sell it with the movies that he takes about tnt wood make ton of money

I remember this when it aired! WOW ?! 26 years ago ! I guess much of JB would NOT be "correct" exposition! Thank GOD I experienced this then !!
Would love to see the full episode...but RUclips copyright bots amirite??
Joe Bob 2016. Running on the "Fu" platform.
Norm mcdanal
lol yes he does look like Norm MacDonald.
26:26 Rusty 👍😍
Joe Bob reminds me of Bruce Cambell as Ash Williams
Sort of but not really

Casual as you will...remember the days when you could read a movie title without getting canceled.
Simpler times.

Aren’t these movies similar to Cronenberg’s the brood? Which came first?
why don't they ever show cool movies on tnt/tbs any more? i swear the only good station for great movies is turner classic movies.
He’s tying to hook his female viewers up with potential killers from jail 😂 he’s not just watching horror films he’s creating them.

O_o
He said the title of the movie....so, guess that is awful, right?
@@captshamm9272 that actor also appeared in the sequel to that movie called "fk yo couch. . . !"
Also weird because he self-censors himself from saying "Dyke"...
I think the part where the announcer voice says Twins is Arnold's first comedy is more offensive.
wahhhhh he said a word I don't like even though black people call each other it all the time wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Dirty work???
"Joe Bob Briggs" is really a Jew. I'm serious.
