Good video! Thank you for posting, it gave me the push I needed to do this swap on my 2013 Road Glide Ultra. A few comments for anyone else viewing and thinking about doing it themselves....do it! I found on my install the reason the top threaded adjusting screw wouldn't snap in easily was because there was a slight ridge on the edge of the fairing itself (I think the reason a screwdriver was needed to pry the clip into place in the video install). I used an x-acto knife to trim and then the top threaded adjusting screw clipped into place as easily as the bottom two - no prying. I first installed the fairing without the headlights installed (much easier to see the fairing was firmly on the 'radio brackets' but doing it this way you can't install the thread protector cap over the threads of the upper adjusting screw.....so I removed the outer fairing, snapped the headlights in place, put the protector cap over the upper adjusting screw, secured the wiring then reinstalled the outer fairing (it's getting easier to do this making sure it's hooked into place properly after several 'off and ons' so to speak. The lights work (and look) great, turn signals work so I'm ready to go!! Again, thank you for all the hard work in posting this video...without it I probably would have had the dealer to it....but with the $$'s saved I have lots to spend on a beverage and wings! If you and your gorgeous red Road Glide are ever up the the Calgary, Alberta area I'd be glad to buy!
Thanks for posting this. I received the Daymaker LED headlights for Christmas for my 2013 Road Glide happens to be the same color as your. I headed out to the garage to install them this was a big help.
Thanks for the video. I'm building up an '09 road glide and am installing the Harley daymaker. Did something different from you, which was put the fabric head shield over the section of the main vehicle harness running underneath the left fairing hook rather than on the jumper harness as you did it, which is how I interpreted the instructions
Thanks, installed mine as well, pretty easy. Noticed on mine, when removing the original headlight plugs there's two little tabs to squeeze in on each side to release the connector.
Thanks for the tutorial. I do prefer LED's over stock as I believe they are safer/more noticeable. When grandma wants to turn in front of you, she may think twice with these blaring down on her. One side note, I would have tested the lighting before full assembly. May have to get back in there with a bad connection. Thanks again...
Is there more to the 3M adhesive tape than just holding the brackets in place? I recently purchased some made in China LED's that did not come with instructions or any tape.
Wish I knew…that was 12 years ago! That said, I still have the bike and love the headlights! Unfortunately that measurement is buried behind the fairing. Good luck!
Can you tell me which headlight bezel you installed at the end . You called it a beauty ring. Did it come with the LED kit or was it an aftermarket? thanks!
Thanks.. I have been looking for this same bezel and can't find one. I don't really like the aftermarket "scowl" or "mean mug" look that are for sale. And that is the only ones I see for sale. I realize it has been a while, but if you know where to get one, I sure would appreciate it! Matt @@FearlessMods
Sorry J Smitty, I moved out of the country and haven't been checking this. Probably too late, but the ring turn signals and tail lights are Kuryakn. Bought them with a load equalizer and installed all at the same time. Well, almost--at first I forgot the equalizer and the flashed about a million times a minute!
@@FearlessMods So it was the 2014 model that never came out? I know they stopped making them for a year or so around then. Was 2014 the last year for stock halogen headlights?
I believe so Jimor. No RGs in ‘14 for sure and then when they came back (in ‘16 I believe) they had the Rushmore mods including LEDs and larger tour packs, etc.
Here it is 2022 and this video came in really handy because Im replacing the stock lights on my 2013 road glide with LED's

It only took one hour to get them installed thanks to your video.... Thanks again...
Eddy Chance, a.k.a., "Fast Eddy"! Can't believe you did the whole thing in an hour! :) Glad to help!
Nice tutorial, thanks for making! I have the same bike in black, can't wait to get these installed this weekend.
Great video, don't know that I would have attempted it without the guidance

FYI, you don't need to remove windshield....

On measuring where your 3 tabs are you said the back, lower ones were at 1 1/8 what was the measurement for the top one?

Matt, I believe it came with the kit. It’s the same as the factory one, but it was glossy black whereas the original was a matte black finish.

I have a 2003 Road Glide shouldnt that be the same as a 2004?
Your turn signals, are those custom dynamics ringz or moonshines? Also did you need a load stabilizer with them?
