Since the heads have to come off to do the Lifters and Cam, my preference would be to do it on the stand. I ain't wild about working over a fender, wheel wells and radiator cross member.
I would think if you put the motor on a engine stand would be easier to put the cam in the lifters in and all that. Set it back down on the ground and put the transmission back together thank you for the video
Drop the trans while it's out, and mount the engine on the stand before you think about it too much. Also, secure your garage - your neighbor gets in there WAY TOO OFTEN 🙂 #creepy
All I can offer is admiration, I'm not qualified to offer advice. Although that usually doesn't stop me. I'm sure you'll get it figured out. It may be time to put a carport next to your shop, for the young man's car.
Family stuff? And you're the fireman always going from one fire to another. Time for somebody to come and help you put out one of your fires. When they say we need to get this done I ask em are we getting this done with my hands?
hey mister heavy chevy saw the ford setting in the drive way whats in store for it or u thinking bout maybe selling it if i remeber right its a 4 doof isnt it just asking im thinking 2 door converstion
@@MrHevyshevy well I knew it wasn't running or driving what I'm thinking about is a 2 door conversion I have have 2 doors that are off a 2door car I've been thing about this for a while watched dan godspeed shop doingbthe conversions on the tri five's I've done a falcon already 63 and it turned out really good so it can be done on the fords too I know a guy doing a Pontiac too thanks for responding brakes would be ok but I'm not sure what motor and trans I would put in I have several options 390 c6 460 stroked c6 could do a small block and a car auto had one in high school 390 4 speed 9 inch 411 factory should have kept it lol
put engine in truck then change cam you have built in seat that way. or put it on stand and save your back. then you could do it the hard way cause anybody can do it the easy way....wait now i am confused????? you will do it the right way because you de man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I vote to keep the front accessories and run the electric fans. Oh, and pull the trans and do the cam and top end work on a stand. Us old guys gotta save our backs. 😂
MrHevyShevy, Sounds like you need to get away for a week or two, or have a friend over to help you out with an engine swap or two. Probably have more fun having a friend over, and you knock your workload down a notch. Seems you’ve forgotten where you placed your sense of humor too, you’ll find it soon! Have a good week my friend!
You two work so well together 😊 use the electric fans
Brett at Halfass Kustoms has the diagrams for the computer connections, Haywire has awesome harness for the throttle by wire and not silly spendy
Cool to see you messing around with ls stuff! They are pretty awesome
Sunday morning with the Hevyshevys. Love you guys!❤
Thank you

ah family! dysfunctional as eff! love them till death!
I think all family members should have synchronizers installed so we could mesh with them better. lol, neighbors too sometimes.
It’s true.
Go with the mechanical fan. Never seen one fail. Anyone else think the "neighbor" looks like she could be Mrs hevyshevys' sister?
I asked. They’re not even related.

I have a 80 c10 long bed straight six all original that I’m thinking seriously about ls swapping and I’m following along with you on this one
The neighbor 😀

Did you see Bruce wilson’s video? He bought 28 box-van chassis with LS motors
Keep up the grind
Thanks for the vidya 🐾
Our pleasure!

That’s a thought
Talk to brent from halfasskusoms
Drop the transmission put in on a stand and do the work. Save your back from leaning over the fenders for that part.
It's a job for sure
Do the engine work on a stand might make it easier for video.
Take the trans off easier to work on since it’s already out
Family stuff?

I stay electric on the fan,and get rid of the wire throttle body, and visit your neighbor !

Would you be interested in a 1995 Ford F150 Flareside with a 302 it does need some engine work for $1,000
I thought that was little miss lol

For sure
You got to do more work and less talking if you going to build your fan base back up. Rolling cars around ain't gonna do it.
Don’t hit a man when he’s down, there’s a time and a place for all good things.
