A friend gave me a set of printed pillow cases. I'll use that as my fabric. Thank you.

Beautiful. I plan to add small “handles” to the open end for hanging on the wall when not in use.

Great idea. Will try it as I have 3 different sizes. Makes a quilting room look neater.

I was just thinking of doing this.. I hate all the gray fibers that get all over everything...really like that you just pinned the end of it...can take off to wash or change easier! Great video!

I made a double-sided * pillowcase * for my Wool mat but, I did not close the open end so that I can easily remove it for washing.

Wishing your channel every success! I've got the cutest little drawing pins/thumb tacks that will close up the end beautifully. Will brighten up my sewing room this very day

Thank you! It is so soft, it feels like my iron glides on it now =)

Where do you get the wool pad and how thick is it?

Thank you for this! There is clearly some sticker residue on my mat (from the label) which has unfortunately ruined my iron. The iron's a loss, but at least I may be able to salvage the mat!

    Why cover it?

Wait a minute. You mean to say you leave the pins in there? That's not a great idea at all. I would wrap it like a present and sew on some Velcro. That way you can easily remove it and wash it if necessary. I would never leave pins in it. Seems like you did not finish this video.

The pins won’t do any harm being in there, and they could then be removed later if you needed to remove the cover to be laundered!
