    I work on a charter boat out of Oregon inlet NC if y’all ever wanted to try for some deeper jigging for some groupers, goldens and even a sword I’ll give you my captains contact info, we run a 44’ L&H walk around so perfect for jigging. My goal this year is to try for a sword, pretty fishing buddies! (We’re also known for our meat fishing tunas, wahoos, dolphin) if y’all wanted to try for some tuna and wahoo too

      That’s epic man! Thanks for the offer- swordfish on the jig is a goal for next year most likely! Might have to add y’all in on the list 🤘

    What was going on with the red snapper at 16:10? Something didn’t look right with it. Looked like it had worms or something underneath the skin.

    • @CoastalWorldwide1
      @CoastalWorldwide1  7 месяцев назад +1

      They come up bloated (swim bladder expanding) and the pressure at times can be so much that on snapper it forces their scales to stand up around that area. Slow pitch jigging deeper spots over 300ft for ars you see most of the big ones looking like that

    What's the advantage to having the long assist cords?

    • @andrewrollins4898
      @andrewrollins4898 5 месяцев назад +2

      Try a descending device. The befits are much greater than venting. Even if the fish looks like it is swimming towards the bottom, dolphins and sharks often pick fish off, while struggling to get to bottom.

    • @CoastalWorldwide1
      @CoastalWorldwide1  5 месяцев назад

      Vent tool does the trick as well.

    • @CoastalWorldwide1
      @CoastalWorldwide1  5 месяцев назад

      Longer assist cords will cover more of jigsaw preventing missed hooksets

    • @andrewrollins4898
      @andrewrollins4898 5 месяцев назад

      @@CoastalWorldwide1 One more question, why use two sets of double assist hooks instead of one on each end?

      Not bad once you get used to it- use the rod to work the jig and the reel to fight the fish. Definitely a different technique but will help you advance as a fisherman

    • @thatvietnameseguy2468
      @thatvietnameseguy2468 7 месяцев назад +1

      Way more comfortable then conventional bottom fishing 100%. Especially you have the right tackle

      The rod and reel a super light. Lots of fun and have caught a lot of fish with this new fishing technique.
