Thanks for the video. I am currently in Texas and that Lenta seems to be a combination of a Walmart Supercenter and a Whole Foods as it has the size of a Walmart but more upscale products. I was surprised at the number of Western brands (Like Nestle) on the shelves when we have been given the impression here that these companies have left Russia...
The likes of Nestle will never leave Russia. They love money more than anything. And this is not good news for Russia because Nestle have been involved in many toxic food scandals. Russians could do without their toxic products.
Believe me, Russians would prefer that almost all foreign brands producing food products leave their country, since the quality and safety of food from such brands is very poor compared to their Russian counterparts.

For convenience, I translate the text into English, I myself am from Russia. Russell, for all the time that you have been looking at stores in Russia, which ones did you like the most? In general. That is, by the beauty of the store itself, its convenience, prices, and the like. For example, over the years I have liked the Perekrestok chain of stores, although the prices there are not the best
Lenta are by far the best hypermarket chain I regularly visit. I've got a Lenta Pro discount card and the discounts and quality of stuff to buy is outstanding. 3 years ago I bought a pair of their own brand (Inwin) winter short boots, and they cost 1400 roubles minus the discount so I got them for about 850 roubles (8.5 euros) they've lasted me all this time for daily use and not only look stylish, they're as comfy as the usual more expensive brands I used to buy every year because they were worn out, such as Timberland, Helly Hansen etc. I bought a new pair this week and my old ones will be used for walking in forest. What's not to love about living in Russia? ❤❤❤
45:15 It is a sugar free chocolate with sweeteners liks stevia. Tastes almost the same as normal chocolate but 100-150 Kcal less. :) Something you'll buy if you're craving chocolate but you're on a diet.
3:00 This is a typical green mango, yellow inside. It never turns orange. Personally, I love this particular variety of mango, but I am indifferent to the classic orange one.
@@TravellingwithRussell I buy them ahead. And just let them lie for week or two. And they turning really good. And much cheaper then right away "ideal" ones.
The supermarket at which I regularly shop is just an average sized supermarket for my country & not a "hypermarket" - so does not have quite such a wide range of brands of products - but it has most things that I need. It was also interesting to note that some things like (clothes) washing powder/liquid are sold in quite large volume containers/packages - whereas some other grocery items are not (like ice-cream, for example - which is usually sold in much smaller size packages). I was also very interested to see the area where they process people's on-line shopping orders for either home delivery or pick-up. I had mentioned in one of my previous posts - wondering whether on-line grocery shopping in Moscow/Russia was popular - given that many people have good supermarkets within easy walking distance of their homes. I've never really shopped in a "hypermarket" before - but think I would really enjoy that & seeing the huge range & varieties of all the products. I could probably spend a few hours there just having a look around - of course, stopping in the cafeteria for a coffee & cake or a small snack along the way!
@@РыжийКот-ц5с9бYes - that's the case in many countries these days. Some years go, I would order groceries on-line from the supermarket for my father, & have them delivered to his house. But just for myself, sometimes it's more convenient to purchase a handful of items from the supermarket on my way home from work. Also, if I'm only purchasing a handful of items, it's usually not worth the additional cost of having them home-delivered.

For example, in the same network, but in different cities (regional centers, etc.), there will be different content of products released in this region. For example, in the Nizhny Novgorod region, you will purchase goods produced in the same region, and when you go to the Kirov region, you will see products with a predominance of Kirov production. I was convinced of this when I went to shops in different regions of the country.
