- After cleaning of 15 inches of snow, I wanted to see how far I could move the car. Not far, it seems, on the Mabor 135/15 radials. Snow tires might be all I need, but they're hard to come by in the US. I have ordered cable chains.
I love that particular shade of blue on the 2CVs.
I hated hearing him race that cold engine in such a classic and neat little car!

Einen 2CV so zu behandeln ist absolut unprofessionell. Wenn ein kalter Motor gestartet ist dann ist es unsinnig, ihn mit hoher Drehzahl laufen zu lassen. Außer, man möcht ihn killen. Das Manöver, ihn aus dem Schnee zu bringen, zeugt von absoluter Ahnungslosigkeit. Schade für das Auto. Viele Grüße aus dem schneereichen Schweden.
It must be amazing to drive a 2CV in the US! Luckily they're still quite common here in the Netherlands. I've owned one (as well as a Dyane) and I still believe it's the best car in the world.

Bloody hell! Don't rev it so hard from cold... The oil is not warmed up yet, you'll destroy the piston rings & most of the engine if you carry on taking it upto what sounded like 3,500rpm when it had only just fired up!! These little m28 engines need time to warm up 😱👍🏼✌🏼
The 2cv is one opf my favorite cars. It6's so weird and different compared to other cars.
I come from Finland. - 30 degrees Celsius, and 2cv starts well. The original (from owners book) engine cold start procedure, where you need both hands :
1. Do not push gas pedal.
2. Turn ignition key on.
2. Pull the choke knob out as it comes and hold on.
3. Press the red start button.
4. When the engine starts, release the choke knob.
5. When the engine has warmed up, press the choke knob completely down. (off)
I had been driving 2cv over 10 years and and then I noticed that choke had two positions.. :D

Not the most exciting video I've ever seen, but a great car.
Your wonderful condition 2CV, your rocking technique, and your patience is admirable. I also liked the Yakkety Sax scenes, too. Not so fun is the lack of traction due to the tires and open front differential.
Air cooling system the best in cold temperatures because no problem with frozen cooling liquide. Also the old vw beetle top winter car with the right wintertires. 👍

Revving a cold air-cooled engine and mistreating the clutch like you do is the dumbest thing you can do.
... and what about winter tyres ?
You needed to clear more snow from the front of the car so you could get a bit of momentum going before hitting the deep stuff then floor it till you got on a clean road.
Very nice car a good color I think they look goo in grey as well.
Winter snow tyres are not to help in such deep snow, 4WD is the magic
Quand on ne sait pas conduire, on s'abstient. Il est très facile de conduire la 2 CV sur la neige, en plus elle a une très bonne tenue de route et passe partout.

the tyres of a 2 cv have no profile whe, this happens to you you have to turn the steerwheel left and right when you hammer it i was stuck in the snow with it and that wahs how i dis get out of it and your solution was the best. Or you park it in he oposit direction in rear gear you can not stop them,

The Snow is too deep! Even a 4x4 wouldn’t have gone through that amount of snow!
how to wear out a clutch!!!!
sorry but mistreating the clutch this way... 2 cv is not powerfull enough to beat ground clearance issues this was the perfect storm for the 2cv able to overcome many things but hammering a hard snow pitch with on top a negative slope is to much .. what we do here is we use rethread tyres with mud and winter profile mixed , works really well... with only the driver on board...:-)
You need to put two kids on each fender, this way the tyres will have have more grip and will be able to climb mountain of snows !!!

To be honest any car would struggle in conditions like that. Especially without snow tyres. Widely available in the US but maybe not in the 2CVs size.
And the modern 4x4 owner snickers. Yes, a good set of snow tires or chains would have greatly aided your vehicles ability to move w/out a shovel. However, with the abuse you are putting on that clutch(being old and unreliable and all)you will find you are pushing, dragging and plum going no where more than sitting inside it driving it in those conditions. By all means enjoy the nostalgia of it on dry sunny days. But I would not abuse it in those conditions.

lastima que lo tenes tan decuidado lo podrias tener guardado en la cochera y a parte para que hacerlo hacer fuerza si con una pala podes limpiar y hacer un camino para que salga bien, y otra al arrancarlo le hace mal acelerarlo a fondo, lo aceleras pero poco no mucho hasta que caliente.

Good on Snow ! Une voiture qui roule à 40 à 60 km/h sur la neige ! Le type ne sait pas se servir de la Deuche car je serais sortie de la neige ! Il fait exprès ! En dégonflant un peu les pneus elle adhère à la neige !
Stable dans les Virages ! Test à 90 km/h virage à 90° = Bascule des amortisseurs spéciaux = elle tient ! ...
