Interesting the way pieces of the soundfont and SFX have been repurposed, like the islamic chanting, laughing and chicken noises recyclced for the purpose of adding to that dreamlike peripheral noise-scape that BoC likes. I'm most impressed with that. A creative way to emulate something that is difficult to capture with instruments on N64 sounds. A big part of the OST of OoT is seemingly structured with compositional limitations in mind, so this remix is particularly interesting; truly faithful in more ways than one.
Def my favorite Boards of Canada song and I'm glad you covered it. Very different feeling at first but I think it captures the haunting lonliness of the original in it's own unique way. Another banger as always 💯
