*This is Awesome! Just What I need is more crap in my truck, clanking & making noise as I drive thru Kroger parking lot. Nothing is more important than having Black Nitrile Millennial Hand Condoms in close reach so I can wear them to put gas in my truck!*
Cool idea. For people that dont have a welder the could always predrill and use some self tapping screws to attach the cross pieces and knock off/grind the points flat to the flat bar. Should work fine.
Someday when my small inheritance comes in, I'd give u some money if u could maybe make me 1 of these, custom fitable to my sweet baby Tahoe. ('05, doesn't have a sunroof) I am currently looking for a hatchet holder so I can affix it up against the right leg part of the center console, since I'm right handed. Lol yep, gotta have my hatchet handy. Lol it's ok, don't be scared! Hhaahahahaa So I think ur overhead tac idea is fantastic!
Brilliant! I ordered the 5.11 covrt before your video even finished playing. Great idea. I would like to see if it's possible to secure at the front somehow so it's a little safer in an accident. Nut-certs maybe? Investigation required.
Alright. She’s in! That’s a nice tight fit. I don’t think it’s going anywhere. I did buy the 5.11 large covrt and it seems bigger than yours (or the sunroof is smaller). I have a ‘98 runner and it fills the entire opening front to back (19” long). Perfect fit with no left over space. Thanks for the video and walkthrough!
pretty cool actually. Just one question. Did you look at the possibility of trying to secure it using both your dome light attachment point and the existing screws of whatever that box thing is at the front? That way you can make it semi-permanent, access your sunroof and possible add another, smaller, molle cover or my a small molle panel. I've seen a few that are roughly 10" x 16" on ebay and amazon
@@TrailReady4Runner it's what I did on my 96 XJ. you might need longer screws, just a little if your steel flat bar is to thick. Made mine out of steel pegboard and a couple of rails all the way along the entire length with a couple of flat bars across the two at each end. I used my sun visor clip screws, but my done light only had one fixing point, so we added two 1/4" nutserts in the roof support rail. it ain't going anywhere
I was brain storming that myself, I'm wandering if bag ass magnets would work? www.amazon.com/dp/B071ZKQ2X5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_ZYNPQ393HDF5Q776P9HB?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Something like these on the corners and intersections, you wouldn't need to have the long legs you could have the entire skeleton contained in the panel.

That’s actually a really good idea I never thought about that but I’m almost positive it would 100% work I think.

Awesome idea, I might just have to make one since I don’t use my sunroof.
When macho guys start regularly employing Upspeak, you know we're at the end times.
IT IS HOLLOW TO BE ABLE TO INSERT AN ARMOR PANEL
But what if you get in a crash? Too dangerous sorry
