They never rebuilt the Trestle after the fire... You think they would have it rebuilt by now with all of the big money around now in the bay area... I went across the Trestle when I was a kid.. Now i'm retired and still no Trestle.. WTF. Well not really surprised with so much greed around now..
Well now with the switchback, they can say they have the steepest passenger grade in the world. But without a doubt the overlapping trestles were cooler.
