Perez was way underscored. The "judges" were trying to leave Italo ra chance to catch up. No objectivity in the judging at all.

That was complete, Italo still had control of his inside rail and the wave was closed out, with no point in riding further out, it was the correct place to bail just as any surfer would bail out there, rather than riding further out amongst the cobblestones. Completeness should have been properly credited, in the context of the manouvre, as Italo regained control more than once and from the most extremely radical position. Judges should give credit where credit is due, that was a 10, and as The Commentators said, there might be 3 people in the world capable of what Italo did there.

It was the correct time and place to exit, look again, inside rail was engaged, and if there'd been any kind of further section Italo could have reconnected, but with no further section it was appropriate to bail out there, using the last of his momentum, and yes he did still have momentum. A 10 here, and Italo would have won The Heat by a very small margin.
Brian’s air was one of best straight airs ever landed in competition how was that not a 10?!

Anyone notice Italo doesn’t go vertical. I’m sure it’s not because he can’t, he just doesn’t. Pretty ordinary a CT surfer doesn’t go vertical on his backhand. They are always under the lip half turns. Take some tips from O’Leary, Ramzi or Medina…

They don’t hand out points and surf competitions. They never have.
There’s so much subjectivity to wave riding and most of the time we see the same things, but sometimes not so
But nobody’s racist man that’s a made up bullshit term by social scientist, and there is no such thing.
