Why no male panelist ... Don't they have any say in issues regarding violence against women? Is it not a good step to have them here so that they can set good examples for others ? Why only all women panelists everytime on discussions regarding women ?

It's a social issue. It doesn't matter whether we're developed or developing country? How good our economic performance is? To deal with such kind of issue. The seriousness of the issue can be seen on the faces of our panelist. About which NEW INDIA we're talking? It doesn't matter whether we're rich or poor? We only need morality to deal with such issues. Think from a broad perspective when this image of INDIA goes to the world. How good we're? To deal with such issues we need to change our attitude/behaviour/ and mindset towards women. BE THE CHANGE WE WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD( IN INDIA CATEGORICALLY).
Lalitha mam's views just gave me goosebumps, the victim is often at the receiving end of all the judgemental views that is after the heinous crime has been committed and the perpetrators roam around with impunity. stalking, eve-teasing are a new normal for our society and acid is the best weapon for revenge. there is a serious need to have national-level movement as a civilized society to say NO to this kind of behavior against women.
At 14:20 ... our justice system is best in the country.... what does it mean ? every country boasts its justice system best...... .. overall not a good discussion... same old talks are repeated.. beti bachao beti badhao.. Female foeticide... working space crime etc.... & yes no male panelist included..... best points by Lalitha mam.

What about other way around. men also suffer lots of mental and emotional violence because of women.nobody is "cow" here. so, this old concept needs a human perspective.
I wish in this panel, one man speaker was also present in the studio, to take responsibility of patriarchal mindset they have. also, there need to be awareness for child abuse, child rape of both male and female child are similar, and it affects the mindset of the person for whole life
As long we mark day on the basis of gender nothing going to change. The larger picture is everyone ignoring the one gender and trying to protect and promote other this can create environment of disparity.
Totally agree with u.....it is bcoz of this approach of targeting one gender against the other no pragmatic solution has occured. The thing is to sensitize people about gender neutral society...whether man, woman, transgender- all equal. Then only a change could occur.
*All the panelists have described very well but they should also mention the reasons why today these violences against women are happening (specially sexual violence).* *The main reason which i think is girls wearing very short dresses and the movies, music videos, commercial adds, which are being displayed now a days on T.V. are full of nudes and sexual material which affect a lot to the youth from their childhood.* *You should also mention these.* Thank you!

The degree of civilization of country is reflected by the social, economical, political right enjoyed by women in that country.
