You may have dropped the analysis of the century with this one. I give it a few weeks before this video blows up. Truly fantastic work tying George Lucas’ analysis of historical and current events to his universe. It’s incredible that, based on modern election outcomes worldwide, even after seeing the bad guys spelled out so clearly, so many Star Wars fans would side with The Empire
Those are some very thoughtful comments of yours. I appreciate you. Exactly. While I undertand that many people are shocked at the results, the signs were clearly pointing to a Harris loss. I can't find the paper, but a group of 4 political scientists predicted the electoral map outright. So did many historians. And so did an anthropologist . . . . about 40 years ago. If we are okaying genocides as a society, that says 'welcome evil'. You welcome hate. You welcome destruction. If you want it blunt, we are embracing it. In our case, Israeli, Palestinian and other Muslim civilians will suffer the most and pay for our inactions. This is precisely why the genocide is bad, it fuels anti-semitism and Islamaphobia and says "I'll have your democracy to go, thank you." Nobody wins. Unfortunately, Americans just got their reality check on Nov. 5, 2024. Brave students, professors, doctors, journalists, military veterans, prime ministers from other countries (mostly women), artists, humanitarian organizations, educators were telling us to stop. OUR OWN ELECTED OFFICIALS here, again mostly women, spoke out against the genocide in Congress but we turned a blind eye.
@ Thanks for the thoughtful response, I really have to reiterate how excellent and detailed this video is, truly fantastic work you’ve produced here. Compare it to the big breakdown channels or even other historical comparisons and they don’t even hold a candle to this. The timing also couldn’t have been better with the election results. Gained a subscriber out of me, excited for your other projects! But in response to everything you mentioned, I have so many thoughts, but I will summarize them. Capitalism is a monster that must eat and grow forever to survive. We have allowed a financial system to become our identity, corporations to become people, human rights to become bargain-able commodities. We have been turning a blind eye to our global impact for so long, it’s only a matter of time before the modern Palpatine arises 😬 But like the Empire, it certainly seems like some unknown Darth Sidious behind the shadows is puppeteering the outcomes we live with around the world, it certainly seems like we’re culminating towards something as a global species. But to what? The Empire, or whatever comes after Episode IX 🤔
Dude, @@atomlabs, I cannot lie, I stumbled upon this video today and could not stop going "holy shart that is literally America today 😭". Intentional or not, you basically spelled out the reality through the video perfectly, and this response to OP's comment really just seals the deal for me. You, good sir, are a fucking genius.
Your analysis is highly flawed. The ruling, which I added below, says immunity is only granted to actions that fall under under official duties and responsibilities . They are guilty of almost everything the Empire did in Star Wars. Argued April 25, 2024-Decided July 1, 2024 A federal grand jury indicted former President Donald J. Trump on four counts for conduct that occurred during his Presidency following the November 2020 election. The indictment alleged that after losing that election, Trump conspired to overturn it by spreading knowingly false claims of election fraud to obstruct the collecting, counting, and certifying of the election results. Trump moved to dismiss the indictment based on Presidential immunity, arguing that a President has absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for actions performed within the outer perimeter of his official responsibilities, and that the indictment’s allegations fell within the core of his official duties. The District Court denied Trump’s motion to dismiss, holding that former Presidents do not possess federal criminal immunity for any acts. The D. C. Circuit affirmed. 1 Both the District Court and the D. C. Circuit declined to decide whether the indicted conduct involved official acts. Held: Under our constitutional structure of separated powers, the nature of Presidential power entitles a former President to absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for actions within his conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority. And he is entitled to at least presumptive immunity from prosecution for all his official acts. There is no immunity for unofficial acts. Pp. 5-43. Determining whether and under what circumstances such a prosecution may proceed requires careful assessment of the scope of Presidential power under the Constitution. The nature of that power requires that a former President have some immunity from criminal prosecution for official acts during his tenure in office.
I used to be a diehard supporter of the Empire in Star Wars fiction. Now? I am for the Rebel Alliance. For so many more reasons than the fiction. We won’t go quietly!
@@thespecialist3608 I think one of the most beautiful thing about star wars is that you can support both sides, while the rebels are our heros fighting an oppressive regime, the empire had very real motivations, causes, and support for very human reasons that being security and efficiency. If you look at the structure of the empire they were scarily efficient, and provide much security and rule to the citizens, while they did do some despicable actions, they were all around a very believable government. But as Benjamin Franklin once said, "those who would sacrifice freedom for security deserve neither".

worst part is. Star war's message is easier to see outside the US.. It was a lot easier for me to equate what was going on to what happens in star wars due to the fact i wasnt part of it. Its nearly impossible to see the mistakes of your country and its authoritarianism untill you leave it
Indeed Ineed. Reflecting on your comment brings me back to what Lucas said in the beginning of the video. I am thankful for having lived and studied abroad, it definitely challenged my exisiting perspectives and world view. Being critical of onself and, of others, is what progresses humankind. Thanks so much for your comment! (:
The greatest tragedy to me is all of our history being so available to us, all of our media like Star Wars showing us these parallels, and yet ignored by so many. I truly didn’t believe history would rhyme. That we would continue to repeat the same mistakes of the past. But it is inevitable. There’s too many people that these messages simply can’t reach. People that grew up with it. It’s gen x and boomers, who lived through this and somehow their only response is to double down on the hatred of others. I’m dumbfounded. There’s legitimately nothing left to do but to watch it all come down.
Well schools and parenting plays a big big part. And by parenting mean treating childrens like property and narcissism. People do not take these aspects seriously as i see it.

Honestly, I think that it was meant more to save his skin and job in front of the President instead of reflecting his own beliefs. I am by no means a huge fan of Kissinger but I'd give him the benefit of the doubt here. After all, he has a reputation of favoring diplomacy instead of military solutions
It’s sorta weird that in movies we get Palpatine as Nixon but in the original novelization of the first film, Star Wars (later Ep. IV), we have Trump; a tool for a small group of politicians. Creepy sometimes how art and life mirror each other.
Funny, when I was expirementing with this for my title cards I was like, mhh what if I added the Clone Wars guy. I heard the first one and was like oh yeah, this is a must! It adds just another layer, so glad you loved it too. (:
@@atomlabs especially given the context of both the show and your very well produced video. Still, Nixon got off light, we should have booted his ass in the reactor shaft. Funny when I saw him board Marine One that last time, I thought that would be the only time we would be close to impeaching a President of the United States, and now to our shame we seen three in my lifetime.
@JoshuaKevinPerry OP is talking about the ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas, what does a leaving president have to do with those talks when the US isn't directly involved in them? Netanyahu could proceed with a ceasefire if he wanted to, but it's obvious that the Israelis don't care given how they openly assassinate the people trying to negotiate it. The continuation of the war hurt Harris since most democrats recognize it for the genocidal ethnic cleansing that it is and are angry with most democratic leadership for continuing to support Israel. Ironically, this helped the GOP secure one-party rule in Washington for at least the next two years even though they've been zealously cheerleading the genocide from day one.

When I started this video I was worried you were going to explore this topic in a similar manner as Arken The Amerikan’s video. I’m glad you gave more parallel real world examples and there was enough different information.
Aha! I loved seeing his video and that of many Star Wars geeks. As a political scientist in training, however, I wanted to bring in a more refined perspective to Lucas' commentary on democracies. American politics also being in my research agenda, I took it upon myself to continue building on this Star Wars literature. (: And you nailed it, that was exactly my goal. To parallel his commentary to the commentary we make as researchers, using real-world examples. ❤️
Oh no Julian, I am glad the video made a turn around. We are actually taught as political scientists, and frankly all phd students are taught, early on to not plagirize. It is a huge no-no! Hence why I cite all my sources. (:

Welcome to the community Myke!! (: Exactly, although I will say I didn't catch these messages when I was young. It takes time, open-mindedness and a willingness to learn to be able to make these connections. So don't be too hard on yourself!
I was born in 2005 during the war on terror several month after Revenge of the Sith came out. When I had the dvd copies of the prequels, I skipped all of the so called "boring talking parts" to see space wizards fight each other with laser swords and epic intense space battles. Now I am 19 years old and I find the most captivating parts of any part of the franchise is the politics . Republic, Empire, Rebellion, Separatist, they speak to us who grew up with those movies in a way that we can now see how the world is and the kind of government we lived under. Lucas never warned us about what was going to happen, he was spelling out what was always happening. Now as we grow older we begin to take the subtext and apply it to our world. The prequels may not be perfect, but they do get you to think.
Great video by Arken! That was intentional since creators have to cater to the algorithm and democracy because my video was on the concept of democracy and its spectrum. (:
(Legends) When the Republic was converted to the Galactic Empire, any HoloNet channel not dedicated to Imperial propoganda was shut down entirely. Communication for citizens without synchronized commlinks became functionally impossible. The Tarkin novel restored some of this to Canon, but censorship was a major theme of Legends in this era such as in the X-Wing series
Out of the 100s of RUclips videos I've seen about Star Wars this is the best. You made connections to politics I never thought of as a Star Wars fan. Excellent visuals, narration, quotes, and even listed references at the end. I learned about a few events I was unaware of and it reinforced how history tend to repeats itself. I feel like I better understand why and how this election turned out now.
This was a pretty good video and I learned a bit. I always knew that Star Wars was a critique of American politics, but I didn’t know how often George looked at his own country and its current events for inspiration. just a small critique that you could take or leave (I personally would find it helpful although maybe you have better reasons to do otherwise), but when they was up on screen, I think maybe you took it off the screen too quickly. Watching from TV while cooking dinner, which made it more inconvenient to pause (maybe that’s on me). Anyways, good job on a really good analysis and also you had some really cool graphics and edits.
Thank you for watching Infinitedonuts. This is all great feedback. I did want people to pause it because I didn't want to force the viewer to deal with the text/footnotes as much, kinda like easter eggs. If they are interested they will pause it, if not they won't aha. But your perspective about cooking and being away from your TV is something I have to consider! And after some reflection, I will consider making those texts a bit more visible/longer! And I'm glad the graphics and editing was enjoyable. I spent a year+ on this so it's nice to see the great feedback. (:

Honestly, this video makes me appreciate the sequels a little bit more-- the flawed *new* republic allows extremism and authoritarianism to fester beneath the surface, thinking they had won, which then rears its ugly head again because the people did not learn from their mistakes.

Well done! Excellent use of historical clips to make your argument. As a recent graduated Ph.d in political science with a specialization in comparative politics and a huge star wars fan, this is the content I crave. My dream would be to teach a Comparative Politics thru Star Wars course. My only little comment would be that, although it's true Lucas was thinking very much about US politics of the time, incorporating other regions of the world into the allegory connects with a wider audience. I loved how Andor spoke to a more international audience thru echoes of imperialism, colonialism, indigeneity, industrial prisons, and more.
Congratulations on being a doctor! What was your dissertation on? I am really please to find your comment!!! Not only because you are a Star Wars nerd but because I am very intentional about educating the general public but also learning from and empowering fellow scholars who care about producing knowledge to make the world better. So hearing a fellow political scientist comment on this is inspiring. (: That is a great point and I know I left out a lot. The military state, slavery, racism, attack on indigenous peoples, and the other Star Wars content outside of Lucas. These are big topics, but since I'm preparing to do my dissertation, I don't have the time and had to take a middle ground decision finishing this aha. When I have more time, I'd love to revisit this and incorporate those elements. Thank you!
I am kind of shocked you have such a low subscriber count because this whole thing was terrific!! SUB from me, sir! Now we need to see the connection between DC Comics and Politics of today. Because you'd have a lot of fun using footage from some of the animated shows for that. lol

Thank you! Progress and consistency is my focus but I appreciate your eoncuraging words. Is Slevin short for 7/11 (I have a buddy who calls it that and now I call it that)? Cool name!
Obviously, there are thousands of DIRECT, almost one for one similarities between Star Wars and Nixon/the Viatnam War as that is the era Lucas himself lived through and used. Which is terrifying to know how close America was to becoming a Nixon dictatorship and that he tried to use a nuke on Viatnam which is just insane to think how the world would be if that had been allowed. But what's even scarier about the direct ties between Star Wars, Nixon, and Vietnam.... is just how much MORE CLOSESLY TIED project 2025, Trump, and the republicans have with the Empire AND the first order in comparison to the Nazis, Hitler and world war 2. Because sadly that is where we are very quickly heading is DIRECTLY back to how the Nazi party first started. They began by being the loudest voices that spread nothing but fear, bigotry, and Us vs. Them no matter what the truth really was. Exactly what the republicans and Conservatives in america are doing RIGHT NOW. Then they started to ban certain ideas and knowledge by BANNING BOOKS on TRANS medical science and culture, gay or anything lgbtqia+ and so on. EXACTLY what the republicans and Conservatives are doing RIGHT NOW. Then they started spreading lies about the Jewish people to fear monger and make people begin to hate the Jews and black people as well. They would call non white peoples "barabarians and savages." They would say that all Jewish people were sickly and dangerous to young women and everyone else could get diseases from them. They made up ideas that every Jewish or dark skinned man was a violent greedy ra*ist that was trying to "invade the white mans homeland." WHAT A SURPRIZE... LITERALLY every single thing the Nazi's said and lied about the Jewish and darker skinned people is the EXACT SAME thing conservatives and republicans and especially Trump have been repeatedly yelling about brown and black people in America. Then the Nazis round up all of the jewish and black people and started putting them in Concentration Camps...... YET AGAIN another DIRECT tie as to what project 2025, Trump, and the republicans are (SAYING OPENLY AND PROUDLY I might add), that they are LITERALLY going to do the SAME THING to Anyone who is remotely latino or hispanic, black or just dark skinned. They are going to round up all the "violent rap*sts that are carrying diseases and invading America and destroying white culture," and put them in CONCENTRATION CAMPS and "deport" them. Which if you think that through for just 5 SECONDS..... You realize... of yeah, huh... funny that the Nazi's ALSO said they were going to do the same and that the Jewish people and black people and non Aryan people were just being "sent back to their own homeland." Oh but thats right, the Nazi's lied and said they were deporting them when they instead were just on mass killing and dumping millions of non white people. There's no way that could happen again, right?! Oh, that's right... OF COURSE IT CAN! Anyone who tries to argue that calling the republican party of the "United" States of America Nazi's or facist is "over used" or "just ridicukous to compare them to what the Nazis did!" Those people are either completely ignorant and believe every single Nazi had "no idea" what was truly happening, which is just utter garbage. Or they are willfully and purposefully lying about the OBVIOUS comparison to try and manipulate people into believing that to be "crazy." To compare how evil the Nazi's BECAME to how republicans and conservatives are today. But the truth is very simple, and the Nazi's didnt just go from one day Hitler was a soldier, and then the next, they were "deporting" and murdering MILLIONS of people. It was a gradual change and rise over many years, and each of those steps is a very distinct DIRECT action conservatives and Trump are doing and even DIRECTLY using the wording the Nazi's used in many many examples. The Republican party of 2024 is almost beat for beat, word for word doing a speedrun of the EXACT THIBGS the Nazi's did. If it quacks like a duck, gooseteps like a goose, and rounds people up and puts them in concentration camps to deport them while simultaneously trying to eradicate lgbtqia+ from the world... then they are a Nazi plain and simple. If you don't like to be or want to be called a Nazi, THEN DONT DO EXACTLY WHAT THE NAZIS DID. Okay rant over. Sorry this video just got me heated remembering that there were somehow enough people in America that were actually STUPID or IGNORANT or purposefully lying about them know the extent to allow Project 2025 to be DIRECTLY AND OPENLY SHOWN TO THE PUBLIC. Yet still enough sad pathetic and ignorant people voted DIRECTLY FOR project2025. That means MORE people thought. "Yeah, we can make trans and gay people ILLEGAL and possibly FORCEFULLY STERILIZE THEM. That's okay cause at least I'll get the ONE ISSUE I do agree with by banning abortion!" That they would just ignore the ACTUAL ramifications of what project 2025 would do to this country and democracy. Because there is a VERY HIGH likelyhood that democracy doesn't survive after what they are planning to do. They want to make what I BELIEVE IN MY OWN brain, atheism, as a CRIME PUNISHABLE BY DEATH! That may sound too extreme to be true..... but I truly wish it was just an overreaction... but it's actually not at all and is the DIRECT words of one of the main authors of Project 2025. They want to make NOT being a Christian a capitol offense worthy of the desth penalty. So despite them BLATENTLY OPPOSING the CONSTITUTION... the paper with some ink on it written by slave owners and atheists.... that these conservatives constantly claim is a "perfect document and should be taken literally" is yet again another example of republicans, conservatives, and christians in the USA using only the parts they agree with only when it agrees with just them. But for everyone else.. well, no, they don't deserve the same rights as white christian american conservatives. We are quite literally heading into what could very quickly become a white christian nationalist ethno state governed by a religiously appointed dictatorship of America. Where lgbtqia+ are stoned in the streets according with biblical law. Where atheists and non CHRISTIAN faith believers are burned at the stake or hung from a gallows or just tortured for the glory of their magical sky fairy. That is what Project 2025, republicans, and Conservatives are AS I TYPE THIS currently trying to make happen. Okay okay now Im actually done. 😂😂 F**k America though, man... we suck and are only powerful because we got lucky with natural resources and geography and not because we are the best. We are NOT the best in any category and are the worst by far in many...
That was a great and interesting watch, I love Star Wars world building and story telling being used as allegory for real world politics, subjects and discussions. And thank you for understanding that my Imperial propaganda video is in subtext mimicking the American and British military propaganda recruitment videos. Take care
One of the problems I have with Return of the Jedi is that if you're going to draw parallels between the Ewoks and the Veit Cong, you don't really get the sense that the Empire was giving the Ewoks much of a reason to fight them. The Empire wasn't cutting down trees or destroying any of their natural habitat beyond the space they needed to build the shield bunker. They weren't enslaving Ewoks or hunting them before the Rebels came along. By and large, the Empire was being very respectful towards the Ewoks and the land by leaving them alone. So what stakes did the Ewoks have in this war exactly? C3PO tells them a story and now they're willing to risk their lives and fight the Empire who hasn't really done anything to them? Just comes across as hollow motivation for getting involved in the Rebellion.
Yeah great point I wonder how much Lucas had to cut off because of its political undertones? I also think that the political messaging in the original series were not as a dark as they were in TPM, CW and ROS. That is a very good critique because yes it makes the rebellion's purpose a bit more diluted. Do you like Andor, I have heard great things about its political messages?
I haven’t started this- and idk if you saw the other channel who made a video on this a long time ago - Excited to see if there’s new commentary in this one.
NIXON was palpatine?! That means Trump... is SNOKE. A Nixon CLONE. Wait. Does that mean Nixon was waiting for Trumps arival? If Trump dies, we have to go and find the rivived Nixon?
Excellent video. Can we talk about how Germany pre-invasion of Poland is basically the plot of Revenge of The Sith? I mean Operation Hummingbird and Operation Knightfall had the same exact cover story in-universe & irl.
The glaring latent homosexuality in that propaganda piece is hilarious. 20:26 Even at its best Vietnam is no tourist attraction. Very creative video man! I will say lots of the comparisons can be deconstructed easily and differing examples could be supplemented with the old republicans and the new democrats in the U.S.. Subscribed to your channel interested to see you grow!
Absolutely. Couldn't agree more. I actually wanted to make this video longer because of this but I do have to my PhD work too aha. Nixon single-handedly reshaped the Republican party since he left. I appreciate your kind words brofesta and thanks for your thoughtful remarks. (:

If i could make a small critique, there are several points in this video where the music is much louder than the people speaking, making it very difficult to hear, especially when the clips are very old and low quality recordings. A bit quieter music in the fututre would be much appreciated
This is precisely why the genocide is bad, it fuels anti-semitism and Islamaphobia and says "I'll have your democracy to go, thank you."
Nobody wins.
We have been turning a blind eye to our global impact for so long, it’s only a matter of time before the modern Palpatine arises 😬
But like the Empire, it certainly seems like some unknown Darth Sidious behind the shadows is puppeteering the outcomes we live with around the world, it certainly seems like we’re culminating towards something as a global species.
There is no immunity for unofficial acts, and actions that are unconstitutional, such as democrats packing the courts, removing gun rights, creating departments of misinformation banning speech, ignoring Supreme Court decisions, changing laws to prosecute political opponents, and removing the filibuster. The lack of understanding you have of the real threat to the Republic is alarming. The democrats have decided they are the party of war mongers so much that they have gladly taken endorsements from all the warmongers they used to admonish like Dick Cheney. They are guilty of almost everything the Empire did in Star Wars. They control the media, want to remove your basic constitutional rights, change laws to go after those who disagree with them, and want to make the courts a political weapon through unconstitutional means. Wake up people. Trump isn't the threat, the establishment is.

TRUMP v. UNITED STATES
CERTIORARI TO THE UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA CIRCUIT
No. 23-939. Argued April 25, 2024-Decided July 1, 2024
A federal grand jury indicted former President Donald J.
Pp. 5-43. (a) This case is the first criminal prosecution in our Nation’s history
of a former President for actions taken during his Presidency. Determining whether and under what circumstances such a prosecution may proceed requires careful assessment of the scope of Presidential power under the Constitution. The nature of that power requires that a former President have some immunity from criminal prosecution for official acts during his tenure in office.
We saw the Bad Guys spell out their plans and voted accordingly. W for America

You left out the last bit of that quote. "... and will probably lose both"

Bro Trump literally told Netanyahu to hold off peace talks until after the election 💀
There's no point to agreements with a leaving President, or did you forget Afghanistan already?
This is similar to the Iran hostage crisis - Republicans delayed the negotiations and release of hostages to make Jimmy Carter look bad.
@@JoshuaKevinPerryon top of what someone else has said, it’s also illegal for him to do so. You cannot speak on behalf of the US to other countries without being appointed to do so. He’s objectively broken the law by delaying American brokering and influencing other countries while not in office.

Maybe you’d like Andor more than all other Star Wars
Thanks so much for watching dpr1984!
I have a shorter vid prepped for January that complements this so, I appreciate your kind words. (:
@@SigFigNewton I need to see that more thoroughly
People rave about Andor and I hear its politics are very visible and substantive !
God damn dude this video was amazing
Eyy Rex! I am glad you enjoyed the vid. Any part your particularly enjoyed?
As a hopeful creator and communicator of political science, this puts a huge smile one my face!! (:
We will have to check this out in 4 years when trumps second term is done.
God-Emperors don't retire
You assume he'll give the left the chance to ever regain control. He's effectively a king now, and we're all the hapless peasants...
@JoshuaKevinPerry Nope. Obama got voted outed finally.
Ppl said that about Palpatine too.

Big fan of your graphics and editing style, subbed
I love how canonically the Empire’s theme is literally the Imperial March.
Loved this. I wish I could like it twice! ❤
dude how the hell do you not have more subscribers?? this video is a monument and centre piece for star wars political analysis. underrated channel, i'm wishing you all the best of luck going forward with growing it
Thanks for the encouraging words and for your positive feedback on the vid!
I am happy with progress (:

I can see this blowing up by just the start of the video.
Hope this goes far
I appreciate you teethmafia!
What a usernmae too!
23:11 - that sounds like the line Israel uses against Palestine.
Honestly, this video makes me appreciate the sequels a little bit more-- the flawed *new* republic allows extremism and authoritarianism to fester beneath the surface, thinking they had won, which then rears its ugly head again because the people did not learn from their mistakes.
instant follow. i’ve been waiting for you.
Ready, for you I am.
Let's call it how it is: Trump's victory was met with a roaring applause from America, winning the popular vote...
so this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause…
Your analysis is highly flawed. The ruling, which I added below, says immunity is only granted to actions that fall under under official duties and responsibilities .

Pp.

That is a great point and I know I left out a lot.

Because you'd have a lot of fun using footage from some of the animated shows for that. lol

I added to my list of topics. Watched a couple episodes over the weekend and forgot how direct their references to domestic and global politics are. Great point!!!
@ I'd especially recommend checking out Young Justice. The whole series is good, but the third season is FULL of stuff. Especially when they use Lex Luther & Granny Goodness.
amazing video honestly I thought this would have a lot greater reach you put a lot of effort in and it shows!
Or they are willfully and purposefully lying about the OBVIOUS comparison to try and manipulate people into believing that to be "crazy."
To compare how evil the Nazi's BECAME to how republicans and conservatives are today.

All of this is so true
you know youre satan himself when kissinger tells you to calm down
I had to do a double take when watching the tape. I was like, "Kissinger? Kissinger is teeling Nixon to relax?! Good lord Richard."
Yeah great point
I wonder how much Lucas had to cut off because of its political undertones?
I also think that the political messaging in the original series were not as a dark as they were in TPM, CW and ROS.
That is a very good critique because yes it makes the rebellion's purpose a bit more diluted. Do you like Andor, I have heard great things about its political messages?
