- Too much/Overfilling Engine oil in a vehicle can cause some of the vehicle’s vital parts to malfunction and it can cost you a lot to repair these damages. That is why it is so important to detect the first signs of oil overfill early and take the necessary steps to resolve this problem. Overfilling your engine oil can cause serious damage to your engine. Some common symptoms are oil leaks from the engine and blue smoke from the exhaust pipe. If you have only filled it a couple of millimeters above the max sign, there is no need to worry. But if you have filled it a centimeter above the sign, it can cause severe damage to your engine.

Here are some of the most common symptoms of oil overfill:
Bad Engine Performance
Driving your car with too much oil is going to cause the oil to transform into a frothy foam that cannot provide sufficient lubrication to the engine’s moving parts.
As a result, you will notice one or more of the following symptoms:
The engine makes more noise than usual
Speeding up the vehicle becomes more difficult
Engine stalling and misfire
The engine won’t start
The car is overheating
Overfilling the engine with oil isn’t the sole reason why any of these issues might occur, and you must perform additional checks in order to rule out other potential sources of these engine problems.
The Smell Of Burning Oil
In case you sense the stench of burning oil in the engine compartment or in the rear section of the exhaust pipe you should check the car’s oil level immediately.Smoke coming out of the engine or exhaust system.
Seeing blue smoke coming out of the car’s engine or the tailpipe is yet another indicator that you have too much oil in your car. The oil burns as it gets in contact with heated car parts which in turn produces the distinctive blue smoke.
Oil Leaks
Adding too much oil to the engine can cause the oil to leak while the engine is running, however, oil leaks can also occur when you’re not using your car.
Check the oil level if you notice an oil puddle underneath your vehicle. Don’t drive your car if you notice an oil leak, because it is bad for the environment and your vehicle.

Please Note : 50 ml se 100 ml engine oil jyada daalne se koi problem nahi hota hai.
Filling 50 ml to 100 ml extra engine oil will not create any problem.

I was so shocking what happened..but after watching this video, i am happy.
bhai maine bhi apne gaai aie 2 litr jyada oil daaala hao taki smoke aaje white wala pr aaya hi nahi kyu aisa bhai engine capacity is 1.2 and total amot of engine oil is 1.4l = 1.2 litre + 2 litre extra engine oil

Don't use motercycle engine oil in scooter. Scooter oil are different use motul LE Scooter

I approach for your expert second opinion for my observation in my car Caren with Turbo charged petrol engine
1). Recently Engine oil filled by Service Centre is 1.0 cm more than Full/Max. Level
On drawing their attention, they say to us not to bother.
Is their assurance correct ?
Because Read somewhere that excess engine oil can damage system.
In that case does it applicable to engine of Caren also.
2). Normally observed cabin as well engine sound of a petrol car is SILENT.
But in my Caren it is noisy.
Like to know Is it normal in Caren bcoz while drawing attention of Service people, they does not find it unusual.

my personall experience.
100ml me kuch khas fark nhi padta.. kyuki 900ml recommended wale engine me mobil ki actual volume 1000ml tak hota hai...company mid level guage tak hi mobil dalne ko kahti hai par top level tak dala ja sakta hai jo ki recommended se 50ml jada ho sakte hai...engine pe load toda jyada padta hai jo ki pickup me pta chal jata... over dalne pe airfilter box me chala jata hai.. speed pe chalane pe oil ka level automatic sahi ho jata.. extra mobil filter box me chala jata hai..mujhe nhi lagta 100_50ml me kuch khas frk pdta... engine ki ability hai ki wo over dalne pe maintain kr le...

There is a great confusion regarding filling of engine oil in yamaha FZS fi V2 where it is recommended that one should fill 1.1 liters in each oil change ( of course with the change in oil filter) but the service guies fill only 1 liter of it which strictly violates the ownership manual instructions given by the manufacturer.
Pls make me clear how much oil should be added in FZ V2 .
One litre sufficient I have that model but make sure u use Motul 300v for best results
