So the Indian ppl were slaves to Africans who in turn were taken by the Americans to be there slaves ? Iam adopted from India but very interested to learn how slavery made its ugly mark on the Indian culture .In Africa were Indian ppl indentured to white ppl or Aficans ?

But when European s outlawed African slave trade crossing was the word coolie or endentured servant used to justify replacing them with Indians instead ? I never realized that indians were used in the Caribbean and the islands as well as S.america ( I think ) slaving away on the sugar plantations ect. Thats so interesting to see how one group of ppl could originate in one area then w migration populate to create a whole other culture in another i thought Indian servants only were enslaved in India only when the Britsh took over .Yes call me ignorant & sheltered but I seriously have never had a desire to learn about the ppl , or culture of India or how they came to be who they are but also I don't think i was ready to appreciate and really respect the knowledge either. I was adopted and didn't really engage w another Indian person till middle school 😐. I want to read this book and learn more now !!!!
