Shogo Sakai clearly knows that tango and mariachi are different things, as he talks about this song being a tango in the MOTHER 3i notes, or so I recall. Does this mean that he's just messing with us?
Seems like it LMFAO he's very smart when it comes to selecting genres, there's no way he intentionally called a tango/bossa mix a mariachi song knowing they're two different things 🤣
And of course the remixed versions of songs which make the timing for combo's harder... The first time I heard Toppling March I thought it was a bug, and didn't know about combo's yet lol
This is a really good restoration, just a couple things I'm pretty sure It's meant to be those guitar samples at 0:20 not the acoustic guitar And I don't hear those bongos at 0:53 in the original song Just wondering what's the reason for these?
they are inclusions from the MOTHER 3i version of the song. The extra percussion is carried over from that, as well as the strum guitar just being the midi guitar. It's like a personal fusion between the two
@@irikachana ah yeah, that makes sense now if you're able to, could i have a version without the extra percussion because i prefer just the triangles I know that you guys can't find a higher quality strum guitar because Sakai strummed the guitar which is fine
@@sonc07 OH for sure dude, I'll include variants in the drive download pack once I get around to finishing some other restorations. Also one of my good pals who goes by "Pinci" recreated the strum guitars so those are all covered for

Maybe he wasn’t the one who named it

I love all the battle music in this game
It has the best variety for the mechanics provided on top of so much musical history per track... Love it 💜

@@Masupups even strong one and dry guys?
restored, and yet still not mariachi
I'm surprised nobody told you this is genius. It's unspoken, but nice to hear.
I take it's meant to sound similar to the instruments played in the original
Its Spanish sounding music who cares what its called

Shogo Sakai has a very good taste in music
Great restoration :)
He has the most arrangements in the Super Smash Bros. series, that should tell you something.
This is one of my favorite mother songs, and it sounds amazing restored as well
honestly i think castanets are my favorite instrument to hear in music and this song has so much of them. its incredible
I am addicted to this 0:53
Who isnt?
I believe that's called bossa nova, it's pretty awesome
Give “The Girl from Ipanema” a listen. Bossa Nova is a great genre.
Yeah its catchy lol
I've played M3 since the early days and these works of art are always appreciated and welcomed. :D
Next you have to do And Yet, El Mariachi
I forget the name, but I could picture a wolf with a cactus on its head.
Battle against Lalo Salamanca
does anyone else think the part at 0:54 sounds like 5pm from animal crossing
They are both Bossa-nova, the music genre at the part of the song

Ole!
