It didn't hit her as hard as the DQ series, but man it's so cool to have a childhood memory where you remember your father playing it. It's like saying "I remember the time when I saw my father going on a far-off adventure when I was a child". The nostalgia is different, but it's just as deep.

    Man that music...
    That's my childhood right there.
Bittersweet memories. I will never forget that intro song.

When the music played, I was also overwhelmed by the nostalgia. Chrono cross and chrono trigger are best rpgs of their _time_ .

    Never change Danchou
Edit: just read the description, lol hopefully SE won't see this

As a kid, many of these classic jrpgs I watched my brother play until I played them myself as a teenager. So yea, the nostalgia can hit real hard. Oof when the chrono cross victory theme played....

Chrono Cross wasn't the greatest RPG there ever was but the soundtrack was and still is legendary. Even a baby knows.

I can get what she feels, tho it's not as good as Chrono Trigger, I had both on the PS1 and loved them equally so yeah, that intro punched me straight in the heart again. :')

they kind of messed up the intro to this.
The "percussion" after the chimes before the flute hits is the sound of a hardcover book opening on a wooden table. It's not part of the music, but part of the original cutscene. Without it, that sound doesn't fit.

Wow, this makes me sad and feel old.
Sad because it was the golden age of RPGs (PS1) and Squaresoft and those days are long past. SE these days is well, no comment. Well, two; utter trash.
Anyhow, CC was a great game. Not perfect but was very good. I'd say being fun and the music were it's best aspects. The *real story* wasn't very good and the character development outside of the 4-5 main characters was nonexistent.: (
Easily had one of the best OSTs ever. Especially the true ending. Hits you right in the feels. Every. Time.
Oh, and Harle is STILL one of the best RPG characters ever. I always used a gameshark to keep her in my party. She was the best.....and she never got an ending.
Not being able to do that on the remaster is one reason I can't justify getting it. It's too sad.
Ugh. The music is stunning and it was very fun but these nostalgia feels are quite painful.
