Join us in person for a Sunday service at 9:30amET at Grace Community Church located at Grace Farms (365 Lukes Wood Road New Canaan CT, 06840).
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

Students for years have been taught what to think, not how to think. It is very sad. You do great, Cliff. Your depth of knowledge and ability to articulately express your beliefs is impressive. These are just 3 of the commandments (Exodus 20), we ALL fall short (Romans 3:23) & rebel the God who created the universe (Genesis 1:1/John 3:19). We die bc of the wages of our sin, physically (Romans 6:23) & eternally (Hebrews 9:27). If God judges you by His standard when you die, where will you go?

@@robmc120 everyone lies rob, everyone lusts, those are basic human traits, we lie for all kinds of reasons, often to protect someone's feelings, it's not always a bad thing to tell a lie. Any healthy human being has lustful desires, again, I don't regard that as negative human trait, quite the opposite, being sexually attracted to a good looking person is one of life's free pleasures, our minds are free to conjure up any sexy thought we wish, it doesn't hurt anyone to have lustful thoughts if you keep those wonderful thoughts to yourself.
I don't see any harm in using Gods name in vain, is God really so vain himself that it would offend him? Jeeez! .. have I just offended God?, is he really that much of a snowflake? If I see something amazing, and I exclaim "Oh Jesus, that's incredible" .. am I using his name in vain? It's just common usage of a popular word, I dont happen to believe God exists, but I will often say "oh my God", because it's a common use of expression to describe how we feel.
Now prove to me how you know any or all of the miracles described in the New Testament are "objectively true" ?

❤ I'm in an evangelism class at my church. Although, it's to make our Street Ministry stronger, any believer should be able to talk about why he/she believes in Christ, to include telling our testimonies.
Thank you Cliffe and Stewart for your ministry, it has helped deepen my faith in Christ.

I have been struggling to attend church for months now. I'm going to a community college and have had my hands full with schoolwork, my job, and a whole slew of activities. I am so very glad to have found this as a supplement. I know it isn't a complete solution, but Cliffe has made me interested in hearing God's word far more than anything has in years. I pray he will continue doing God's work, I'm sure I am not the only one who has been touched by his work.

One thing many people forget is that God isn’t an it, he’s a personal being with value that is greater than any of us can imagine, and Jesus is a perception of God, He is simply God in human form. The Bible is history, and there were eye witnesses that wrote what they saw. God is good, Jesus is good, the Diciples of Jesus are good. We are all loved by God regardless of our beliefs, and I thank Cliffe so much for showing these people the potential they have ❤
Im so thankful this generation and the next generation have someone to educate them in the truth. They are getting the best class they possibly can at their universities, and its free. Cliffs son Stuart is learning from one of the best. Jesus Christ is providing for the needs of the world. Amen❤

Cliffe is a great man. him and his family taught me to look to the origin of morality for the answer. He taught me that the TRUTHS and falsehoods are laws, not something we decide. Those are the breadcrumbs, pieces of reality, and morality and truths are rational and fair, therefore God is fair and rational. God please bless Cliffe and his family.

Hell of a lot of theological study and he went to seminary, and if you can go through seminary and keep your faith like this man I think that person should be able to do this.

Hello my name is Justin and I'm a fellow Christian and Apologist but I'm also a college graduate. I'm not a closed minded Theist as I have nothing against Atheists or unbelievers as I speak to them often to understand their reasons for unbelief but we as Christians are convinced of God's Existence due to many real factors). I'm not trying to convert anyone or convince anyone to become Christians as that's The Holy Spirit's job to help people believe but only explain why I believe in Jesus Christ. There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't.
I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict.
Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers.

ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of macro Evolutionary biology whereas I accept micro Evolution like speciation and adaptation but not macro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word.
Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. From a pagan, I love this guy, he is not an asshole like a lot of people think he is. I personally believe in multiple gods but I don’t bash anyone for believing in any other god or one specific god. He is a perfect example of what it means to be a decent human being.

Hi Cliffe, it appears you skirted the second guy's question. Why didn't you answer with the evidence for the historical veracity of the Bible given the number of scrolls and fragments we have? And the multiple copies in various languages that all agree? I've heard you use that elsewhere, but perhaps being an earlier time, you hadn't yet come across or developed all that info into the compelling argument I've heard you use?

A lot of these kids are basically coming at this from a “let’s agree to disagree” standpoint.
Ask them what they’re doing sticking around to listen if they aren’t at least somewhat open to changing their mind.
I think “let’s agree to disagree” is inherently a non-confrontational philosophy. However such a philosophy only really works between two closed systems that aren’t interdependent on each other. An example would be two nations that can afford to disagree on something because they can both sustain themselves and aren’t reliant on the other for trade, and aren’t physically at each others’ border.
There are things we can agree to disagree on, but when the rubber meets the road, you can’t. You’re forced to make a decision.
Morality is relative. You have yours, I have mine, so long as yours doesn't interfere with mine or anybody else's. So what you believe right may interfere with mine or somebody else's. So may what I believe. We don't live alone fortunately or unfortunately.
If something is declared evil, it logically assumes good exists, necessitating moral law to differentiate good/evil, necessitating moral law giver (the triune God)

If anybody's going to tell me "Jesus never existed, Jerome made up Jesus or the pope in the middle just made up Jesus" I look them in the face & say "I'm sorry you're absolutely (objectively) wrong. The historical (objective) evidence is Jesus of Nazareth was a real person, He really lived a sinless life, He really died on a cross & three days later the historical (objective) evidence is He rose from the dead. People dont love the truth, they are children of their father the devil (John 8:44), they love the darkness (John 3:19), claiming they know more than eyewitnesses (Luke 1:2/2 Peter 1:16) who gained nothing to proclaim Him & gave everything for the unchanging truth.

The argument always bothers me that the Bible was rewritten, it's old, edited, etc. When all the books on that campus have been rewritten, they're old, edited, etc, and those same students buy into THOSE books hook line and sinker.
This is such a profound statement. I'm saving this as a response to others.
The books the students use are edited to be consistent as new scientific evidence is discovered. The bible has been changed over the centuries because of errors scribes made while copying it. There's a difference, see if you can spot it.

The errors were considered insignificant and never changed the true meaning of the bible
Textbooks, on the other, may be teaching PROFOUNDLY wrong information until someone decides to spend the money to update them (think about that a moment)... meaning: at any given time, a textbook can be fundamentally wrong.
So, it IS pretty silly when a college student is claiming the bible is inaccurate when their own measure of what is inaccurate (flawed textbooks) have far greater inaccuracies than the bible.
Sounds a bit hypocritical to me.

The OP poster was commenting on the silliness and hypocrisy of those challenging the accuracy of the bible when their own measurements are inaccurate (text books). But you're chosing to make a distinction between the two, by inferring that textbook inaccuracies are ok cuz they contain knowledge but the bible typos are egregious because its content is about history. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by following Jesus and the bible.
If you die and theres no afterlife, you're no worse off. But if you die and you find out that Jesus IS real and the bible IS real, and you spent your life denying and/or fighting him... Dang, that's a spot I'd rather not be in.
