hahahaha.. Yes , you're starving and homeless so you call the elder gestapo ..they tell you : Take it to Jehovah in Prayer 😂😂😂😂😂.. yeah , I know first hand how that doesn't work..
Love how they portray all "worldly" people as a-holes. Nobody acts like that. The cashier in the propaganda skit might get written up or fired if they really treated a customer like that.
Actually I have been treated like that for nothing by service people and wish I was able to get them in trouble some way. Most of the time I would never go out my way to get anyone fired. Those times they didn't give a shit.
(I've never been JW) As a kid my JW friend was genuinely so shook and mortified when I told her I wasn't JW, she started saying how we can't be together in paradise unless I convert and she was super distressed about it...this was my first experience with JWs so I was very puzzled. Looking back I feel so horrible for her. ..imagine how she must have felt when her parents told her that her new friend was doomed and wasn't going to have an afterlife :( hope she's doing good now♡
Damn.. I couldn't even imagine that poor child not allowed to be friends with someone because someone else isn't apart of the same freaking religion. :(
@@danaj-b9452 Awh. Their parents seem so mean. I mean, it's just a child. It just feels like the parents were trying to push negative stuff towards the kid, and that's wrong!
@@1Sunny0 Yep happened to me. AS the child of a newly studying JW mom. My friend wrote me (we wrote letters because no cell phones then) to teller she was not allowed to associate with me. Her family wa Baptist. I had told her about this new religion my mom got into and I guess it scared her mom. She could have at least told me WHY as it was the early days and I knew nothing yet about it. I was 12. My other friend , stopped writing me for the same reason. Their moms could have told them to warn me. I had no idea. I was just a kid.
I had 2 girls knock on my door, and they were JWs. I didn't know until near the end because i ended up asking them. I didn't have it in my heart to be mean to them because they were young, probably in their late teens early 20s and I just couldn't imagine having to do that knowing they probably get really horrible interactions. Well, they showed up again and gave me a flyer and told me to look into the religion. Im obviously not interested but I wasn't even angry for them bugging me. Those girls should be enjoying their summer, not putting themselves in danger by knocking on strangers' doors. The weird part is I loved talking with them other than their religion it was always a positive interaction, they can do so much more than becoming indoctrinated.
@turkey4802 Wow that's really scary. I was concerned when I saw it was just 2 young girls. Like why would they allow for them to knock on strangers doors alone? There's weirdos out there. Mormons I believe, just have the guys go door to door.
If you remove the sappy music, this looks outright evil. A bunch of men on suits talking about how the constrict their people, like, I don't get how they can think they are the good guys, even in this short that despict them as the victim, they look bad.

@@mrprocrastination25 You have been misinformed about the Bible passage being mistranslated. It is a common rumor being spread recently. The Hebrew original text uses the word זָכָר which means man, male. It has no specific meaning of boy or younger person. Interesting fact: Jews take this so seriously that to this day men are not allowed to sleep in the same bed even if they do not touch each other. Additionally, in the New Testament (which was written in Greek) Paul reiterates this. He does not use the English word "homosexuals" (because English did not exist yet obviously) but he did use the word ἀρσενοκοῖται which translates to "male-bedders". You may support lgbtq if you wish, but please do not distort the Christian and Jewish peoples' word of God in order to do so. Also, I should point out that in the western world, homosexual people have access to wealth, food, shelter, health care, even marriage and pride parades, so it is disingenuous to say that they do not have "basic human rights".
8:23 As a gay guy... When I saw this on the meeting... Damn, I cried like half an hour... I felt so... Humiliated, guilty, like crap... My God, the Watchtower isn't even trying to make their religion look appealing to outsiders. That skit where the old lady was happy to be reassigned to the other congregation, and the elder in the background smiling when he heard the old lady shut the other two women down, made me cringe so hard.
Cold, clinical and sterile. If you've heard one JW you've heard them all - what they say and how they say it is the same no matter where they are. When I was a pioneer the manager of the local Christian bookshop told me, you JW's are like sausages - all the same.
This. Also I love how the "elders" characters are sitting around talking about people who aren't present. Sharing their private life experiences and challenges around the table as examples. I know they are fictional characters and maybe gave permission for their challenging personal stories to be shared in meetings like this, but to me it feels so invasive and gossipy to be talking about other people's experiences like this.
@@nathanhaines1721 Depending on the country I'm pretty sure that is illegal, at least on paper. Granted it's insanely hard to prove so the company or union or government branch would have to behave egregiously, document it, and fail to hire lawyers who can cover all of that up.
This is the comment I was looking for. The guy pushing and threatening the guy’s job is setting himself up for such a lawsuit. No labor union worth joining is going to put their cause at risk like this.
I vividly remember the bracelet video. It was the first thing they put out that made me extremely uncomfortable, embarrassed, and disappointed. I was a fully believing witness, and it would be years before I woke up, but I never agreed with their views on gay people, women, and abortion. Cognitive dissonance hit hard when I saw this hateful trash.
saying no to the bracelet is okay and saying yes too, i dont see any problem with not wearing it, imagine you dont wear a pride shirt does not mean you are homophobic,.The other women overeacted for no reason.
i grew up with a mom like that. She always has a fake smile and is very religious. She even hops religions and left my dad for a few years to be with a man from...i think 7 days adventists? and he too had that horrible fake smile. I hated him so much and never understood how my dad could not punch him and bann my mom. But i think thats because he genuily doesn´t care about her and feels sorry for her because shes very sick (body) and knows religion gives her comfort. She currently lives in my dads house again. That must mean she left the 7 days adventists and is now in some other sort of christian religion/cult.
That's what indoctrination does to people. They act like this in real life too. They shut down any critical thinking, and believes blindly in whatever their leaders tell them. After some time, it takes a toll on their own personality, which is replaced by JW teaching.
I've been away for a month and am catching up. This is awful. They're all speaking like mafia dons and creating a state of fear that is actually non-existent. Thanks so much Panda. Excellent as usual. ❤

The manager who’s asking for the signature was genuinely looking out for him, just signing the paper could save his career cuz at least his chance of getting laid off are equal to everyone else. It looks like he’s a blue collar worker and if people find out you didn’t sign they’ll assume you don’t want your job that badly and they’ll ALL jump on you and say you should get laid off first. When I was younger I thought that the manager was super worldly and pressuring him but the whole thing is out the managers control. He’s just trying to get thru to him

The bracelet incident is more confusing..she goes to a market and there are only women shopping? Where are the men shopping? Subliminal message..only women do domestic tasks? Also, Sister Spencer hasn't aged in 15 years...the JW should be bottling what she's taking
What do you mean subliminal message? Did you see ANY woman in the directors' board? Men must lead, women must stay at home and obey. It is so in your face, nothing subliminal about it.
That one where the lady didn't want to wear that lgbt bracelet had me laughing. It was giving me some serious flashbacks to that episode of Seinfeld where everyone gets mad at Kramer because he didn't want to wear the AIDS ribbon.
The real answer is that the governing body wants weaker bonds to the family in favour of stronger bonds to the governing body. Plus, if you get people to blindly obey small, inconsequential-seeming rules, you can crank gradually crank up the blind obedience to more insidious things.
The video about the bracelets hurt me so much as a kid, I could feel my heart aching in my chest. I was a closeted Trans Queer kid and now adult, so needless to say, I cried when I first saw that, realizing I would never be able to come out. I have now, so lmao, that's good (I left)
That segment with sister Spencer, the brother is comparing being nervous to her traumatic experience of getting threats of being mauled by an aggressive dog. I HATE when they say “we all get nervous” like NO, people have real social anxiety and trauma from terrible experiences knocking on doors. It’s literally the absolute worst having to walk up to people and tell them their religion is false, it’s insanity!!
The crazy thing is, in the same book that says you can't be gay, it also says you can't wear mixed fabrics, they don't seem to have a problem with that
Wait so let me get this straight, these guys were basically raised their entire life thinking they were going to witness THE FUCKING APOCALYPSE in their lifetime and that they have to prepare for it, my god that sounds like a very deeply traumatizing way to live.
It always strikes me how negatively they portray "worldly people". Like we're all corrupt and hostile, and they want to terrify their members into staying in the fold. There's a JW meeting hall near me. I see them frequently, out on the street corners with their literature stands, on my way into town. I always make a point of meeting their eye, giving them a warm smile and saying hi to them as I walk past. I know they've probably been given this extremely negative portrayal of "worldly people", so I try and counteract that in the hopes that if any of them are having doubts and wanting to leave, maybe it will make the "outside world" feel less scary. I genuinely worry for young people in this religion. It must be tough.
Do they think that the justifiably angry householder is just going to accept it when religion is destroyed? It doesn't make sense since he's obviously passionate about it
Fear is great motivation to continually give money to a small group of men so that they can have both money and power, just like a kind and just God would want.

I cringed at the point when the guy suggested not signing a petition would result in the boss firing someone - bosses aren't exactly font of workers standing up for themselves.
I was the union representative for the company I worked for. The portrayal of the guy who refused to sign the papers is spot on. We had one particular guy in the JW, and he was a huge zealot. He always wanted the benefits, but he always wanted to "stay neutral," so I made sure he couldn't distribute or bring anything from the JW at work. In Canada, and especially in Québec, we have laws preventing anything religious at work. Even in lunch/break times. As an elected union leader, it was my job to ensure these laws were respected. Let's say I got both eyes on him at all times. Guys elected me at 98% (493 people, from 1995 to 2015, so almost all the years I worked for the company) exactly because they knew that I would make sure everyone was treated equally.
9:25 I can proudly say that I once got a JW to the point where he got as loud as the gentleman here. As a practicing Germanic pagan, I have to listen to a lot of nonsense from Christians and as a result I have become relatively versed in the Bible. He really freaked out when, as an "idol worshiper," wo sacrifces Chhildren, I brought up Yehovah's baby slaughter in the OT, the story of the bear that killed the boys because they laughed at a prophet, and what Lot did near Sodom.
Would I have to choose a particular belief, that's the one I would choose. At least, it's based on nature and the cycles of lifes, equinoxes and solstices. That's very similar to what my ancestors used to practice ( I'm from Alsace, France Bas-Rhin or 67, as we used to says, but I live in Canada since 1993) before catholics and other abrahamic religion usurped their places. I visited many places that were used as worship by older European people and these places still have some kind of energy into them, even after thousands of years. It's hard to describe. The dolmens and stones are still there.
Believe me when I say that using a "what about the Old Testament" is nowhere near as good of an argument as you think if you admit that paganism also used to practice the same bad stuff
I never can understand why non-Christians think the examples of God taking back life in the Bible is somehow the equivalent of pagans and modern pro-abortionists sacrificing their children. God is the one gave life to all in the first place, He has the right to take it back whenever He sees fit. Child sacrifice, however, is done by the people to whom God entrusted the children to raise, who are failing the duty God gave them in the worst possible way. The prophet Elisha called down the bears on the mob of boys because they were threatening him. It was a large crowd of youths - not little boys - young men aged around 14 to 20. The same age the majority of the most troublesome criminals are. And they were insinuating he was a leper or something similar - that's what the word "baldhead", refers to. The bears happened because Elisha was in danger, not just because a prophet of God had to hear a few nasty words. The Bible doesn't condone anything Lot did in or near Sodom except leave it; the rest is just describing what he did. Doesn't mean it's what God approved of.
@@Renan-n3y Fun fact: We don't deny that our gods aren't a dear heavenly father like Yaweh. I left out when the first story The guy didn't let us know if the man remained on the job or if you got let go because he refused to sign the petition. I mean can you believe what Jehovah would think if you just start writing your name down and sheets of paper with other words on them. Some of those sheets of paper with words may have good things and they may have bad things but it's best not to sign anything as Jehovah has stated many a time. When the bill collectors come calling he always tells them "the checks in the mail". Even though only a couple of thousand of us will be sent to heaven the other 99% of us will enjoy Paradise but bland. It's like drinking a flat lukewarm pop that's been sitting there for a day.

How do they define the word neutral? He picked a side by not signing. The second one with the girl not wanting a bracelet is weird bc not a single person would react like the woman yelling at her. The persecution complex of these people is through the roof.
I feel like even if that psycho dude did set his dogs (!!!!!) on the two women, they'd have enough of a case against him to have him put away for attempted murder. But then again, I don't know. Do JW also have a weird policy against interacting with law enforcement/courtroom stuff?
JWs are free to take the matter to police if they are physically assaulted by worldly people. Even when out in the ministry. btw I woke up 19 years ago, so my knowledge might be out of date.

So here's my little story My parents never were fully JW, but we lived with my grandma, who is THE MOST devoted JW i know. That bracelet story is 100% cringe. Most stores don't force LGBTQIA+ pride on customers - heck, most usually _hide_ it due to the fear of homophobes destroying the store or assaulting service workers (like what they did with Target).
I agree too, it is so cringe, LGBTQ should not be forced on people- In Kenya🇰🇪🇰🇪, where I am from, it is unlawful to do that, it is viewed as Western Propaganda by the Kenyan Gov't and most people in my country are homophobes

The JWs came to my house, they were doomsday on how the world was depressing and current event. Recognized the bullshit and told them I wasn’t interested and was a practicing Catholic. They gave me a pamphlet that I promptly ripped up and threw in the trash.
9:17 That skit didn't make me cringe, I thought it was so over the top that it was funny. It's been so long since they didn't have any contact with people outside of JW that they always portray outsiders as ill mannered bullies. Nobody care this much about what they say, that they will get this angry when they read something from the JW. But the JW tends to get angry very easily when you're telling them that theirs books have absolutely no grip on you, and that you don't want to live in fear. They almost plugg their ears like a child would do and refuse any logic arguments. "But but the bible says.." The bible or any other book have no power on what I do or think. For them, it's unthinkable.
JW's could counter with arguments that are allegedly supported by the Bible. Unfortunately, that opens up an ugly can of worms. Numerous biblical passages have been omitted from the JW New World Translation that are found in almost all other Christian Bibles. A prospective convert also could ask why the JW faith currently follows the 2013 edition NWT, though it lacks selections of "the incorruptible holy Word" that were in the 1984 edition NWT.
I want to talk about 17:16, The kid looked genuinely scared as he looked at that picture and I really don't blame him🤷🏾♀️ I'm 14 years old, a Lutheran (im kind of questioning my Christianity right now.. Idk) and I remember 7 years ago, my mom gifted me this JW book, I was raised in a religious family but it wasn't that strict compared to other families so it wasn't odd to get religious books from time to time, anyways, I had this book, I think it was called 'What does the Bible teaches?' But it was translated to my native language. Okay, so as a 7 year old, I was excited to get that book because I thought I would receive the typical colourful Bible stories for kids... It was the *COMPLETE* opposite, it was dreadful, I didn't enjoy the book as it constantly spoke of feelings and the duty to preach before it's too late. In the later chapters it started to talk about the end of times and the Armageddon. The pictures and the drawings made the 7 year old me scared as fuck, I remember there was a deadass picture of a woman and a child crying and injured. Like HOW THE HELL!? and it looked very realistic, fooling the 7 year old me straight up. I can recall crying in the dining room because I was scared of the upcoming 'doomsday'. My mom left for a business trip and I was scared that something might happen to her, I became more anxious and paranoid after I finished the book. That I would get destroyed in this 'doomsday' unless I joined JW. Ugh. Mind you I was 7 at that time. Now, currently as I get more information about the Jehovah's Witnesses. I feel an immense amount of pity and sadness for these people and especially the kids in this cult who go through this everyday and have a very few chance of being free... Truly saddening.
I just wish my JW friend won't have her soul taken by this religion before it's too late. She seemed so nice and respected the fact that some within the friend circle are Catholic and have an atheist within it. She doesn't try to convert us or anything. Just wish she steps out of that cult, though unlikely considering her family is religious

Teens/Young adults*

Silence is Golden. Shouldn’t mean neutrality, just that you’re going to walk away because you’re not about to get into a conversation with a stranger that could become passionate. Period. You might have strong opinions but are wise enough to not get engaged in other people’s bull 💩at the moment.
figuring this out takes critical thinking though
@@ftwjo I agree with that. “Thinking” is silent before it blurts out into words.
I cringed in the persecution complex part lol
So, Watchtower wants these women to get mauled or attacked by either that man or his dog and that being terrified to the point where she doesn't witness, she's the bad guy?
Their safety isn't important compared to the ego and will of the church leaders
6:29 major cringe. That's unrealistic, too. I've never heard of anyone forcing someone to wear a rainbow bracelet.
"It takes a lot of courage to remain ignorant, indoctrinated and indolent"
The JWs came to my house, they were doomsday on how the world was depressing and current event. Recognized the bullshit and told them I wasn’t interested and was a practicing Catholic. They gave me a pamphlet that I promptly ripped up and threw in the trash.
9:17
That skit didn't make me cringe, I thought it was so over the top that it was funny.
I want to talk about 17:16, The kid looked genuinely scared as he looked at that picture and I really don't blame him🤷🏾♀️
I'm 14 years old, a Lutheran (im kind of questioning my Christianity right now..
Ive never seen someome get yelled at bc they didnt want a gay bracelet
I just wish my JW friend won't have her soul taken by this religion before it's too late. She seemed so nice and respected the fact that some within the friend circle are Catholic and have an atheist within it. She doesn't try to convert us or anything.
Just wish she steps out of that cult, though unlikely considering her family is religious
6:44 WTF? I’ve never ever seen anything like this happen and I’m 63.
Same, I'm 42 and people do not behave like this. No one gives af if you don't take a bracelet or make a donation or whatever.
can confirm that i woke up one day and said "I'm gonna be queer now"
Same here🙏
I knew JW’s families who lived in Government low income housing and had Welfare benefits if they were to be Neutral they shouldn’t be using Government assistance programs… Double standards at its finest !!! 😂
Queto mi ha dato sempre fastidio ,dire di non fare parte di questo mondo, e poi prendere tutto quello che il governo da ,come la società Watchtower prende volentiri soldi statali tipo Svezzia e altri ,m
Norway has taken away WT organization state money because they’re now considered a CULT And not a religion !!!
That's NOT a double-standard. Being neutral means not voting and/or getting involved in political and social controversies. Jehovah's Witnesses pay taxes as the Bible and the law require, so they're entitled to the benefits the government provides.
@@CoolBreeze250 Theses were Able bodied JW’s who could work for a living but chose not to instead use Government assistance programs and waiting on Armageddon to happen !!!
These JW’s were able bodied to work for a living instead they chose not to by using government assistance programs because they believe Armageddon was just around the corner or thought we’re living in the Last Days so why bother getting work when in their minds they’re looking at the reward of living in paradise earth !!! 🤨🤔
16:00 "the level of control you get here is crazy precise!"
I swear they think retail people care that much. There is so much about real life that turns into one just doing their job.
Oh god, this one is gonna be wild
I'm telling you guys, if the whole _"Oohh that one world government is going to remove all other false religion and then persecute us"_ happens, they are most likely going to be on the one world government's side, not the persecuted side.
15:10 JW cult, separating families at every opportunity.
How can you remain neutral when your livelihood and those that depend on you for that income to survive is at risk? There are times to remain neutral and times where you just have to take a side.
@@Neku628 Many JW’s would rather be on Government assistance programs instead of working for a living because they’ve been told over and over that Armageddon is just around the corner or we’re living in the last of the last days of our final days !!! 🤨🤔🤣
Many JW’s would rather depend on Government assistance programs instead of working a job…WT GB’s make them believe Armageddon is just around the corner and we’re living in the last of the last days !!!
Being Neutral doesn’t pay the Bills or put food on the table !!! News flash if you think WT GB’s is going to help think again the JW elder’s will tell you to seek out Government assistance programs !!!!
12:20 damn, didn't know PTSD could be resolved that easily * takes notes * /s
The victim complex is insane. I cringed way to much.
All this out of fear of dying from fire balls from an invisible dude that no one has ever proved exists. It’s good to be an atheist.
That's a gross and oversimplified explanation of God and hell
@@AtALossForWords ok and?
@@Djentie that's not accurate
@@AtALossForWords if not like that, how would you describe it?
@@azrmnn. Well actually read the thing you are trying to make fun off
the 5+ ppl who disliked this video are probly elders
Yeah but they sure didn’t mind writing to Putin in mass protest.
These JW short films are like movies from another planet, cause this is not how the real world works
6:08 I'm literally trans, and nobody in THE DAMN WORLD reacts like this to 'no thank you'. There so MANY reasons why you might not want one, like maybe you already have some of these, just don't like such bracelets (I know I don't), your skin is very sensitive to such things, etc etc. Oh my freaking gosh
I had forgotten how creepy that was.. you made a good point about writing letters to Russia.. I remember doing that in 2015.. yeah we're not political right?? Unless the Borg tells the drones to comply.. Yes the rainbow bracelet scene , hahaha.. as if anybody would act like that 🤣🤣🤣.. Super Cringe 😬
I remember our congregation divided while I was little . New one was at one of the dangerous area in our city and elders talk with us to obey it and give it a try . We had to use transportation to go that place 4 women (my mom and my 2 other siblings). I was thinking my dad was being mean to us because he is not JW but obviously he worried about us .
Anyways even 13 yo me was telling the elders how dangerous that property and building is not even safe for the earthquake. 1-2 years later They finally closed that Kingdom Hall lol
9:45 the dude with the dogs had the correct reaction.
