It is a shame Bret left for WCW and was out of the business three years later. I mean imagine if Undertaker went to WCW and got his career ended by Goldberg in 1999. That's 20 years of his career erased and that's basically the shit deal Bret got.

He has a point. Wcw had Benoit Eddie booker t. Why have him wrestle a guy that can't lose clean in Goldberg. Nobody at WCW thought about that. On how great some of those matches would have been with those other guys

Because at that time Goldberg in 98 - 99 was wCw's Stone Cold in terms of popularity especially 98 Goldberg DDP and the Wolfpac were their most over babyfaces. All the top guys had to wrestle him at some point.

hogan didnt want bret in main event booker t admitted it in an interview bret would have wanted a serious match but the main guys were doing quick matches for money, what they should have done is give bret the thunder show let him be main guy there on that show as u.s. champion make that belt important to workers let bret build up benoit and booker t others on thunder basically what vince did by making a raw champ and smackdown champ , bret vs hogan champion vs champion would have been a huge ppv show but hogan said he would never lose to a smaller guy that people wouldnt belive it was real but yet he lost to shawn micheals a guy same size as bret at wrestlemania shows hogan had full control in wcw had sank it went to tna company sank it also along with eric bischoff and vince russo bret needed an old school booker like dusty rhodes or jim cornette in control then he would have been champion

What a bitter, angry miserable hater.
    WCW did everything for him.
Put him over their Legend Flair, their Icon Sting, their new hot up and comer Goldberg.
Gave him every strap under the sun and let him win the big gold belt in Canada.
But yet he still whines and cries and plays a victim and martyr.
Scott Hall was right - Bret Hart couldn't get over because of Bret Hart - it wasn't WCW's fault - they did everything for him.

i love bret but he would show up about 20 minutes before the show and find out what was going on so bischoff just tossed him in a match and didn't put him in any storylines cause he wasn't willing to try and get himself over. bret had too much trust in management due to vinces genius and didn't realize that in wcw you had to get yourself over. bret wasn't good at coming up with angles. he was more of a genius inside the ropes than outside of them. he needed direction. wcw had none
