How was that a worship service? How did she help draw people close to Holy God? How were people interested enough in true worship to come back? What a missed opportunity, sad.
“Some provisions contained in the executive orders, such as those focused on the treatment of immigrants and refugees, foreign aid, expansion of the death penalty, and the environment, are deeply troubling and will have negative consequences, many of which will harm the most vulnerable among us,” Conservative Archbishop Timothy Broglio
I agree that conservatives can't just throw out their own common sense and agree who heartedly with everything that President Trump says or does. His decision to once again block Medicare and Medicaid from being able to negotiate with Big Pharm for lower prices. is an example of a Trump decision that boggles my mind. I am glad the Biden nightmare is over but keep the few things that actually helped people
It doesn't happen often, but every now and then, I'm glad that Psalm 9:17 is true... The wicked shall be turned into Hell, and all the nations that forget God.
She reflected Jesus' words In Matthew 23:24, but was less critcal than Jesus was to the people in power like Trump. 23. You Pharisees and teachers are show-offs, and you're in for trouble! You give God a tenth of the spices from your garden, such as mint, dill, and cumin. Yet you neglect the more important matters of the Law, such as justice, mercy, and faithfulness. These are the important things you should have done, though you should not have left the others undone either. 24. You blind leaders! You strain out a small fly but swallow a camel.
Justice means "treated equally under the law". Since all "undocumented migrants" are in fact "illegal" and broke the law, they should suffer the same consequences an American would suffer for breaking the law. Jail or deportation. Mercy means "compassion or forgiveness". America far more compassionate than any other nation, towards those who break our laws. Try sneaking into China, Russia or Iraq. Faithfulness "Loyalty or trust in something" How about we stay "faithful" to the Constitution of the United States? You BLIND leaders! You preach "compassion" while emptying the pockets of the poor and rich alike in order to give gifts to those who break into our house, while those who fought for your freedom live on the streets! You have swallowed both the fly and the camel!
@ The Pharisees were not only religious leaders but also held social and political influence, since they enforced law, sat on the court system. So Jesus specifically rebukes all politics pharisee or not, if the policies neglect justice and mercy. To reinforce Matthew 23:23 (NIV), He says, “you have neglected the more important matters of THE LAW-justice, mercy, and faithfulness.'
In my segment, I anticipate this argument. If you're wanting to talk without listening, then I'm not really going to feel the need to reckon with much of what you have to say.
In "preaching truth to power" during a ritual service making a public community event there are ways that "unite" (her stated theme) and ways that divide and she chose to divide using the stick and vinegar rather than the carrot and honey. It looks intentional which to me means it was done with malice which isn't the way of a Christian disciple.
Great job, followed for a while, I believe with lifting of censorship and promoting "free speach" your chanel will takeoff. You had better buckle up for a great ride.
??? If you're gay wouldn't you feel as though she was speaking for your rights? Wouldn't you agree with the theological foundations of progressive episcopalianism?
@@thermioniks No. She doesn't speak for me. My approach to theology and scripture is not by accepting what either liberals or conservatives say, but what I believe is true faith. Of course that means not being accepted by either group and sometimes condemned by both.
Religious Progressives missed an opportunity here. If they wanted a "Karen" to lecture President Trump, the UMC has a Bishop Karen they could have called on. 🤣 Seriously, Bishop Budde did miss the opportunity to reach out to Trump/Vance voters, and maybe try and dial down the intensity for the next 4 years. Imagine Christians from the Left and Right working together on important issues. Regards, Dan
She went on the view the day after and a lot of other trump hating media tour. It’s all me me me
She could have simply asked for mercy for all.

The Episcopal Church has lost its way. I’m leaving it.
She came off as whiny. Can not see that she risked anything. She has no skin in the game. Simply not possible to take her seriously.
The Episcopal Church is the most Theologically shallow denomination in our country!!!
It has competition in the PCUSA and UMC.
@user-xp7ju2sd6o 😂 I stand corrected! Sadly that is very true indeed!
Thanks Jeffrey! You may be the only GMC clergy with the bravery to speak about this🤔 we will see.
Not appropriate for the occasion. If a conservative minister had done this to Biden, the left would have pitched a fit.

Like you are pitching a fit

Why anyone be afraid of declaration of 2 sexes? (Of course, it is a rhetorical question.)

So true how dare Trump and shame on this channel

If only you put chapters in, so we could skip listening to her voice...
Wheres your stamina - grow yourself at least one testicle
