I don't blame you, that's why I fly my planes away from clubs because I feel more comfortable standing where I need to in order to land my toys' safety.
No but I painted a foam before you can use regular spray paint but at a distance because the propellant will eat the foam like acid. so several layers of light dusting is need as prep. You end up wasting a lot of paint but the result if done carefully is awesome.

I really do, you can change light patterns and when the battery starts to drop to low the burner will pulse giving you a bright visual clue that you really need to think about landing soon. And they are MUCH brighter than Freewing brand. now Freewing afterburners are solid and good . I have many but prefer the KM model ones.
