In this explore we meet up with Matt to visit Brown's quarry aka Sally in the Woods. A victorian stone quarry used primarily for the excavation of Bath Stone.

The stacked rocks are called gobbing. It was done so the waste rock would not have to be taken out of the mine to a waste pile outside.

You mentioned Brian, I was down there with a friend the other night ,it was quite late past 11pm, as I walked past one of the little rooms I noticed a bag with tools and collected rubbish. I assumed it was Brian's. As I walked back past that area 5mins later the bag was gone, so he must have been down there although we never saw him .I imagine he knows the place like the back of his hand, was strange to think of him down there alone so late at night though. Perhaps should be renamed Brian's Folly .

$250 US? I could do that. And I'd bring food, 6 torches and 50 or so glowsticks...maybe one of those collapsible ladders, and an inflatable raft? Not to mention a plane ticket to the UK...lol.

Half of it was used by MOD during the war, now its Restore a storage company, this bit wasn't used by MOD
