I remember a woman who worked at a hospital. Every time our eyes met me and her would spontaneously start laughing. I have no clue about it. I just look back and wish I understood her character a bit more.

I just bought battered sausage for myself and fishcake for my elderly mother who lives round the corner from the chippy. I'm visiting from Scotland and have been popping in whenever I visit. Always had great food, had fish yesterday and I'll be calling in next week after trekking round the country before heading back to Scotland. I've been happy every time, and well fed
£15 for that lot, amazing - that'd be a fish supper alone at the chippie round here, lovely owners too, would be putting on the pounds if they were round here
In Scotland its often referred to as " The Chippy" and just as a point of reference and a trip down memory lane I remember as a kid growing up in the mid/late 60's the chippy came to you as the chip van drove round the housing schemes ........you could smell it for miles😛
In fairness to Danny I have a T5 and they are an absolute pig to park in a bay..If you do it's more by luck than design..🤣🤣 It's a major complaint to VW the A pillar is too wide and you just can't see.

I often watch you up and down the country from my home in Thailand. Today was a memory from my childhood Dalton fisheries was the only chippy for the first 22 years of my life. The phone box, bus terminus & the Black Horse. I noticed the buses are no longer red and the fish & chips no longer 5 bob. Probably about 40 years ago. Regards David 😮

Here in Newfoundland our top choice for take out is fish n chips. We usually have cod here and we love our fish and chips smothered in gravy and malt vinegar

I think Danny says something very close to my heart, there. 4:44 I'm 50 years old, when I was young I worked for massive corporations, making a lot of money and it was soul destroying. From the age of 30 I've never worked for any company that wasn't a small independent as the bog ones specifically target the small businesses, to destroy. I've witnessed it firsthand. Good on ya, mate. :)
In August is the Bolton Food and Drink Festival, which is apparently the biggest in Europe. Maybe you could go to that and do a mega video trying out all the best places there and rank them.
have been working in Germany for a time ,Danny you know how to make somebody homesick...my combination,Chips cheese and onion pie,mushy peas and curry, of course meat and potato pie comes a close second and obviously Fish, Cod is number one oh wait pasty oh no wait pudding ..I give up!
