I have appreciated Dr Heiser's channel explaining the entrance of the supernatural in Genesis. His take on the heavenly council is worth taking. It really makes sense - don't you think ? Helps us determine why there is so much spiritual warfare. Thank you for sharing this.

These are troubling times we live in. Hide scriptures like Psalm 91 in your heart and know your authority in Jesus Christ over darkness 😊

Josh, this may be my favorite so far. Really liked your break-down of the four qualities needful in effective ministry. Your coverage of how to take hold of Bible verses as personal promises from God (e.g., Ps. 91) was excellent, and very practical. Also, Michael Heiser's insights offered some fresh revelation for me. Thanks!

I have walked in Psalm 91 for the past 45 years and even before I came to know Christ. He has protected me from most every danger imaginable. Here is a more recent, less dramatic example of how God can protect us (especially with our cooperation).
I was walking along the same park trail that I have for almost 3 decades, when I began to remember the times that God has spared me from the attack of large, aggressive dogs (at other locations). As I pondered what the meaning of this could be, across the creek I noticed a large Pitbull break free from its owner’s lease and run straight towards me.
I then realized that my daydream must be a vision from the Lord, facing the rapidly approaching dog, I had no fear and did absolutely nothing (not even bracing myself). This dog could have easily leaped through the air, knocked me down and gone for my throat. As he was almost on top of me, he ran past me, rubbing hard against my right leg.
After running past me about 30 yards, he turned around and had another go at me. I did not turn to watch him. I had absolutely no concern. Again, he ran past me, rubbing hard against my right leg, as if something kept him from going further than my pant leg.
He ran across the creek, the owner’s put his lease back on, and apologized. I was just about to fuss them out, when I remembered that I was never in any harm, so there was no reason to be upset at them.
Now, the dog is another issue. I have noticed through the years that people, domestic and wild animals have tried to attack me. Maybe the devil wanted to take me out (possibly entering or influencing these people/animals). It may have to do with my unique calling.
But God knew ahead of time, and possibly had his angel there to protect me. One day I will better understand these things, and should I run into you, possibly we both can watch these things together. In the meantime, we can trust the Lord to protect us from our own unique dangers.

We can walk in the blessings of Ps 91 today BUT we must first meet the subtle preconditions of these conditional promises.

What do you see as the pre conditions 🤔

Whoever "dwells" in the shelter...I will "say" of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress...in whom I "trust"...if you "say", “The LORD is my refuge,” and you "make" the Most High your dwelling...Because he "loves" me,” says the LORD (Ps 91, NIV)" I have walked in this for decades...even years before I came to know the Lord. I have many stories to tell about His protection...

@@TornCurtainIJoshuaSimone Sure. I will share a more recent and less dramatic example of God's protection. "As I am walking along the park trail - which I have for almost 30 years - I begin to 'daydream' about the times God has protected from dog attacks. I've never been bitten.
As this brief period ended, I begin to wonder why I had thoughts about this after so many years, 100 yards across the creek on my left, I notice a young couple lose control of their large Pitbull, and it immediately make a beeline straight towards me. It was then I realized this was no daydream, but rather, a vision from the Lord.
Since I was already facing the direction of the rapidly approaching dog, I stood still, without speaking, flinching, or even bracing myself. A Pitbull running that large could easily leap towards me, knocked me over and go for my throat. While he ran straight towards me, he veered tightly around my right leg (as if there were sone force field keeping him from attacking me head on.).
After he had ran past me about 100 feet, he quickly turned around and ran towards the back of me. I did not turn my head to watch him. I allowed him to catch my blindside. I had no fear or concern. Since I knew it was the Lord who gave me that vision and had protected me all those other times before. Again, he brushed hard against my right leg as he ran by, as is some force field kept him from attacking me head on.
He continued running back towards his owners at full gallop, they grabbed his collar, put his lease back on, and apologized to me. I was just about to 'fuss them out' for not controlling their dangerous dog, but then I remembered God had protected me and I never in any danger.
In attacks by other domestic and wild animals, as well as attacks by people, God has not allowed any claws, teeth, fists, boots, knives or bullets to touch me. I believe in many of these cases - possibly all of them - the devil either influenced or possessed these animals/people to take me out before I fulfill His calling on my life.
God knew in advance the devil's attempts to take my life and had His angel there to protect me. As He does with all those who are called to become His children, though we may not always recognize and/or yield to His protection and dismiss His visions as 'daydreams.'
"A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished (Proverbs 27:12, KJV)."
"They that observe lying vanities forsake
their own mercy (Jonah 2:8 KJV)." Once Jonah chose to ignore being in the belly of the great fish, but instead looked to the Lord and submitted to His will, the fish could no longer hold him. Though most of us will never have to dodge a bullet, we all have fears and dangers we must and can overcome. The Overcomer lives in us. R/C

I’m disappointed that we weren’t shown/explained how the situation resolved. Did it take five minutes or an hour to get the person delivered. I appreciate the demonstration of technique but would like for you to have explained how the desired outcome came.

Very good point. For someone who has a lot of experience with deliverance. People rarely get full deliverance right away. It's Usally a process that takes time. The whole church was praying for her. She did get help from the church

Maria, this is an important promise for me and my wife, too. We declare the loosing of angels and God's protection as we travel, for example. He is ALWAYS faithful to His Word! I had never considered your notion that this is not a popular Psalm. But, in a way, it makes sense that much of God's most powerful revelations are likely the most neglected.

Thank are something like this in EPHESIANS 6: 10-20. They are saying it is spiritual but they aren't quite explaining it like you are. Do you have something I can study about this with EPHESIANS ? I know I need help, and I need to learn more. Thank you for explaining the difference, and I need to know how. I hope I am explaining this right. How do I get your adult teaching ( putting on the whole armor of God please)

Respectfully the title of this video should say Psalm 91 not Psalms 91. While Psalm 91 is in the Book of Psalms each individual psalm is signular and not plural. If you correct the title I will delete this comment.

We are suppose to be like JOSEPH jacob-israel favourite son and holding the septre of authority and ruling and reigning like JOSEPH did in Egypt during JOSEPH days. JOSEPH having supreme authority and power over the land and crops and over pagan heathen demi God spirits Bowing down to JOSEPH jacob-israel favourite son who became prime Minister of Egypt under Pharoah a metaphor of KING JESUS the CHRIST for today having supreme authority and power over devils and Demons and Unclean spirit's. We are to be like JOSEPH in helping CHRIST JESUS advance his kingdom on earth as it is in heaven and ruling and reigning with CHRIST JESUS NOW! And holding the septre of authority and putting all evil principalities and powers under our feet like as JOSEPH helped Pharoah advance his kingdom in Egypt during JOSEPH days. 👍🇦🇺🤠

A couple of ideas. ALL of the promises of Ps. 91 are contingent on the first two verses. You don't need the Word and Power you need the Word and the Spirit. When you have the Spirit you need that no man teach you and finally the traditions of man, make the Word of God of no effect. ALL denominations today make the Word of God of no effect, else the world would not be in the mess it is today. The USA has the opportunity to repent and turn back to God as revealed in Jesus the Christ ........ repent for the murder of over 60 million children, making a mockery of marriage (not just homosexual marriage but a 50% divorce rate in heterosexual marriage) and tolerating all religions as if they were equal to knowing the LORD. What seminary did the early Church go to? What Bible did the early Church study? How in the world did their uneducated ideas about Jesus establish the Church that still exists today?? They had and welcomed and knew nothing other than the Holy Spirit in their midst. Today we misuse the word Christian which we apply to those who confess Jesus died and rose ........... that is not all it means to be a Christian which is to mean Christ LIKE ......... that means you are a believer who has the opportunity to become a disciple who then, one day may become a Christian. That is what the world is desparatelty in need of today. Christ LIKE people who continue to go about healing all those oppressed of the devil. They will do that when they realize the person in the pulpit has been standing in their way all the time. They not having gone in themselves are hindering those who would. Those are the times that are now coming to an end. It is not up to the fivefold to do the work of ministry it is the equipped saints who are to do that work. When Eph. 4:12 and 1 Cor. 14:26 manifest in our meetings, then and only then will you see the promises of Ps. 91 manifest.
