What a beautiful story, thoughtfully told through still images and music. And that last image of Oscar... it really says a lot. What a wonderful tribute to Jaime and Oscar's love for each other, as well as a very sweet tribute to the fantasctic actor, Richard Anderson.
Beautiful moments, 70's the golden decade many years ago, I can say could be only yesterday when bionic woman was in the air, 'n this serie was a full of adrenaline!
Always had a special place in my heart for Oscar. He was someone u could always rely on. But he was never anything more to Jaime than a mentor and great friend. RIP Richard, I miss u so much!!! And I think this is beautiful and music is perfect!!
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that Oscar was in love with Jaime. He was smart enough to realize she thought of him as a close friend and so didn't blow the friendship by making a pass because to Oscar Jaime as a friend was better than no Jaime at all. However in that Monte Carlo episode ( @ 5:19) Jaime tells the bikini girls "Leave my father alone" (ouch!)" then tells Oscar that Mom is going to pick up the kids (calling Oscar not just a father but a grandfather... double ouch!) and THEN bends the umbrella pole in the center of the table to block the girls' view of Oscar and vice versa. Sure made me wonder what was up with Jaime that morning LOL.
I think she was a little jealous! By that time she was pretty used to having him focused completely on her. (She certainly laid the punishment on thick in that scene.) They played up the flirty aspects of their relationship a few times in the series - for example at the end of Fly Jaime and a few moments in Fembots in Las Vegas. I heard that Lindsay suggested that maybe they should pursue the idea in a plot line to see where it would go, but that one never got made!
They did have a cool relationship/Chemistry more organic than the relationship between Diana Prince and Steve Trevor on Wonder Woman seasons 1-4 The last episode solidified the strong bond between Jaime and Oscar
I think people are reading way too much into this. He cared for her as a friend. He expressed that affectionately, because she is a woman, and her personality was sweet. With his friendship with Steve, he expressed what he thought of him through going through great lengths with whatever Steve asked or needed. I'm sure he was very concerned when he send his close friends on dangerous missions, but Oscar was also about the buisness.
What r they trying to say about Jamie and Oscar? Hmmmmm. I don't think so. U can tell in a way he had feelings for Jamie but, Jamie didn't feel the same way.
@ Ricky Redmond. I think the character of Oscar Goldman loved Jaime Sommers in a fatherly-way, but Richard Anderson when asked by a fan or in an interview suggested that Oscar loved Jaime romantically.
